The gap between the two of them rapidly closed, and before Guo Si could fully comprehend the dire situation, Li Jue's glaive struck with deadly accuracy. The blade found its mark, piercing Guo Si's torso, a fatal blow that sent Guo Si falling from his horse crumpled to the ground.

Guo Si who felt the sudden pain and now crumpled on the ground turned his body while writhing in pain, and when he looked up he saw Li Jue his horse looking down at him with a sneer on his face.

It was at this time Guo Si knew that he had allowed an opening that Li Ju managed to exploit, and in return, he lost his life knowing the wound he received from Li Jue's strike on his torso managing to pierce his lung.

Li Jue got down from his horse and saw the pain flashing across Guo Si's face, and the sound he just inflicted on him caused him some satisfaction knowing that he was the best between the two of them, not that he ever doubted it.

Looking at Guo Si who was at the end of his life, trying to talk but blood was oozing out from his mouth, Li Jue decided to show mercy to him and using his glaive beheaded Guo Si on the spot.

All of Li Jue's movement was seen by Guo Si's men around him, Guo Si's death caused their morale to hit rock bottom and some saw this as an opportunity to switch sides joining Li Jue's side so they surrendered.

When one threw down their weapons and surrendered, the horde mentality of this era began to play suit with one by one many of Guo Si's men threw down their weapons and surrender.

Many of Guo Si's Generals and Advisors also choose to surrender, because they all served the same lord before Guo Si which was Dong Zhuo, and since the dice they rolled in serving Guo Si were busted they can change to serve Li Jue easily due to them have served alongside Li Jue previously.

Of course, some decided to fight back harder to avenge Guo Si's death, but they were in the minority maybe just 5% of the total of Guo Si's retainer and men which was squashed easily by Li Jue and his men.

Guo Si's death changed the entire landscape of power in Sili Province, with Li Jue now becoming the sole owner of Chang'An and sole decision maker his power was doubled, of course, that is in the paper.

Li Jue after cleaning up the battlefield and letting his army rest for a day, returned to Chang'An, and from there on news of Guo Si's death spread across the land, with Ma Teng and Han Sui alongside Zhang Ji the first bath of the lords to knew of this.

Ma Teng and Han Sui are preparing their army for another crusade against Li Jue hoping to take control of Chang'An, while Zhang Ji holes up at Hongnong lamenting the deaths of his former comrades.

From Dong Zhuo's top generals, in Zhang Ji's eyes he, Lu Bu, and Li Jue are the only ones left alive, not knowing that Fan Chou and Xu Rong are still alive now serving under Lie Fan.

For the other lords, the death of Guo Si is a flash news of some sort, because they don't receive any benefit from his death, only Yang Feng who feels that he could have the chance to take over Hongnong from Zhang Ji's hand with the death of Guo Si who is close to Zhang Ji.

In Yang Province at Wuhu County, the Qinglong Army, under the joint command of Yu Fan and He Qi while being supervised by Huang Zhong and Liu Ba, pressed forward with relentless determination to attack Yu Mi and Hua Xin.

Yu Mi and Hua Xin found themselves forced into a defensive stance, their once-confident feeling to defend against Yu Fan and He Qi's attack now thwarted by the strategic and combat prowess of the Qinglong Army.

The clash of steels echoed through the landscapes of Wuhu County as the two forces grappled for control over Wuhu County.

Yu Fan and He Qi, orchestrating their moves with precision, managed to exploit the defensive vulnerabilities of Yu Mi and Hua Xin formations, forcing them into a passive position.,

Due to their passive state and frustration, Yu Mi and Hua Xin found themselves ensnared in a heated argument. The once-unified front was now fractured under the mounting pressure from Yu Fan and He Qi's relentless assault.

Yu Mi, his frustration palpable, argued for a defensive strategy, emphasizing the need to hold their ground against the Qinglong Army's formidable advances.

On the other hand, Hua Xin, fueled by a desire to turn the tide, advocated for a counteroffensive, suggesting strategic maneuvers that could exploit weaknesses in the enemy's formation.

As the argument between Yu Mi and Hua Xin reached its peak, their indecision became a fatal vulnerability that Yu Fan and He Qi swiftly exploited. Seizing the moment, they led an elite unit from the Qinglong Army to wreak havoc across the disorganized formations of Yu Mi and Hua Xin.

To compound their troubles, Huang Zhong, with his formidable archer unit, executed a precise flanking maneuver, raining arrows upon the already beleaguered defenders. The combined assault left Yu Mi and Hua Xin's forces in disarray, and their defensive stance shattered.

The realization of their dire situation cut through the heated argument, and a moment of clarity emerged. Yu Mi and Hua Xin, acknowledging the overwhelming force against them, made the difficult decision to retreat from Wuhu County.

The retreat unfolded amidst the chaos of battle, the echoes of arrows and clashes fading as Yu Mi and Hua Xin withdrew, leaving Wuhu County in the hands of the Qinglong Army.

The retreat of Yu Mi and Hua Xin filled Yu Fan and He Qi with satisfaction, relinquishing control of the Qinglong Army back to Huang Zhong and Liu Ba who then continued their subjugation across Wuhu Vounty without any challenge to consolidate Lie Fan's control over Wuhu County.

The retreat of Yu Mi and Hua Xin soon arrives at Liu Yao's desk in a town at Yangdu County, where he immediately throws the scroll from his hand toward the messenger bringing him the news, and orders for the messenger to be executed.

The messenger was begging for mercy while being dragged out, and Liu Yao didn't care about the wailing messenger only knowing that he had practically lost Wuhu County and Shixin County to Lie Fan, where the entire Northern Part of Yang Province was in Lie Fan's hand.

He realizes that Yu Mi and Hua Xin are nothing compared to He Qi and Yu Fan, the defeat after defeat news he receives after Yu Mi and Hua Xin become his right-hand left-hand man is continuous unlike Yu Fan and He Qi.

Liu Yao ordered Yu Mi and Hua Xin to immediately head toward his location, where they were told to relinquish the army under them for the continuous defeat they had under their belt.

The letter was then sent out and arrived at Yu Mi and Hua Xin's hands, and when they read the content of the letter they were filled with indignation because they felt insulted by the words Liu Yao told them, how they were nothing compared to Yu Fan and He Qi.

In the shadow of defeat and the sting of Liu Yao's disparaging words, Yu Mi and Hua Xin found themselves in a tense conversation. The letter from Liu Yao, ordering them to relinquish their command, fueled their indignation, for it spoke of their perceived inadequacies in stark terms.

Hua Xin: "We've fought valiantly for Liu Yao, and this is the gratitude we receive? To be insulted and discarded like pawns by him continuously?!."

Yu Mi: "That's true We cannot let this stand. We've proven our loyalty, and yet he treats us as if we are expendable, it was true that our talent is lower compared to Yu Fan and He Qi, but it was ultimately his decision to oust them from their service to him."

Hua Xin: "Our loyalty deserves better than to be continuously insulted by Liu Yao. If he cannot appreciate our efforts, then perhaps it's time to find a lord who will."

Yu Mi: "Indeed, We don't owe him blind loyalty in the face of such disrespect, I think it's time for us to abandon him and discuss which lord could respect our talent and deserve our loyalty."

Hua Xin: "I agree! We also brought around 40,000 men, many of the lords of the land will appreciate us for bringing an entire army that could bolster their number."

As they deliberated on their future, the name of Sun Jian emerged in their conversation as the Lord that they should serve, replacing Liu Yao.

Both Yu Mi and Hua Xin recognized Sun Jian as a formidable leader, a lord who might appreciate their skills and dedication. In a twist of irony, they considered aligning themselves with Liu Yao's greatest enemy.

After much discussion, they reached a consensus. Defying Liu Yao's orders, Yu Mi and Hua Xin decided to cease their service to him and set their sights on joining Sun Jian, Liu Yao who received the news that Yu Mi and Hua Xin defied his order was angry.

Yu Mi and Hua Xin don't care about Liu Yao's reaction to them defying his order, the two of them march from Wuhu County toward the center of Yangdu County where they meet with Sun Jian and his army.

Sun Jian and Huan Jie were surprised by the sudden appearance of a large army flying Liu Yao's banner when they were preparing for the inevitable clash between the two armies, a white flag was raised by a horsemen who rode toward their position.

Seeing the white flag, Sun Jian holds the preparation of his army entering into a defensive formation, allowing the horseman to approach his army.

From the horseman who was a messenger, he received a letter containing Yu Mi and Hua Xin's signatures also their intention to surrender to him, alongside the 40,000 men under their control.

Sun Jian and Huan Jie at first didn't believe what they read and even scoffed that this was Liu Yao's ploy, but when they told that they wanted to meet Yu Mi and Hua Xin at Sun Jian's command tent, they believed the content of the letter with the arrival of the two of them.

Yu Mi and Hua Xin who saw Sun Jian immediately kneeled on one knee, and greeted him with the respect he deserved, where after that they told their intention to join his side once again in verbal words.

Sun Jian and Huan Jie were looking at each other, where they were talking with their eyes and facial movements, before deciding that they should accept Yu Mi and Hua Xin into Sun Jian's service.

Sun Jian told the two of them to stand up and told them that he accepted the two of them under him, officially making the two of them Sun Jian's General and Advisor, Yu Mi and Hua Xin thanked Sun Jian for the chance that Sun Jian showed to them and in return they told Sun Jian and Huan Jie all of Liu Yao's weak point and where they should attack Liu Yao.
