On the way to the camp, only a comfortable silence could be observed inside the car.
Liu Zijian was already busy reading some emails while Han Meixiu was still having a debate on her mind.
When they arrived at the camp, it was still Sigma who greeted them and later on the two saw both major Li and Mr. Di.
Liu Zijian didn't stay long. After giving the customary greeting to those people and handling his wife over, he left.
Sigma who escorted the young man out still couldn't believe how time moved so fast. It seemed that it was only yesterday when the two young masters were training under him. Both of the boys were so determined that it actually gained his admiration.
Although from young age he could already see the vast difference of their personality, he knew they would eventually become outstanding men.
What surprised him the most was the younger one to be married first. Clearly, life is indeed unpredictable.
Back in the hut, Han Meixiu was finally alone with Mr. Di but she was still conflicted.
"We can start as soon as your ready." Mr. Di said. The most important thing was to for Han Meixiu to relax but looking at the young woman in front of him, Han Meixiu seemed to be restless.
Han Meixiu inhaled deeply before she nodded.
Mr. Di started to play a subtle sound that could be heard in the entire hut.
"It's a type of brain wave to help you relax." Mr. Di simply explained.
Han Meixiu simply nodded gain and closed her eyes as she laid comfortably on that earth-colored recliner that was seemingly a thing that didn't belong in this place.

Normally for the next two hours, they could already progress even a little. Unfortunately, the two weren't going anywhere.
"Why don't we eat lunch first then we could continue?" Mr. Di gently suggested.
Since it was already past noon, Han Meixiu also felt a little hungry thus she agreed.
The older man picked up a sturdy looking phone that Han Meixiu deduced as probably a military phone to call for someone and ask their lunch.
It was only less than a quarter of an hour when their lunch was delivered.
After their simple lunch they started again, but after sometime Mr. Di sighed.
"Little Miss Han, are you worried about something?"
Han Meixiu stared blankly at him.
Mr. Di more or less expected that she would be like this. Or to put it more precisely, their session would be like this - unsuccessful. He just didn't expect that after several tries, he still failed to make her relax.
If she couldn't lower her defenses, he couldn't even try to pry open her memories.
It was as if she didn't really want to recall her memories or she's extremely worried about something.
"You are too guarded. It seemed that you don't want anyone to invade your subconscious. I can't help you if you'll continue to be like this." Mr. Di calmly said.
He wanted to know what's in there so he could start probing more.
"Mr. Di..." Han Meixiu normally wanted to ask if it's possible to remember only some of her memories but in the end she didn't finish her sentence. To a certain extent, she already knew the answer.
"If you're worried about something, you can tell me. Or perhaps you need to have someone you're familiar with to accompany you here?"
Normally people would be alone during this kind of treatment but for some, having someone could help them relax.
They just needed to overcome that first hurdle. She must trust him and destroy that defense wall she built.
"Mr. Di, there's a thing I did in the past shamelessly that I don't want to remember." Han Meixiu started to open up. Even though she wouldn't go in details she could at least give him some information about what's bothering her.
The older man, smiled faintly before he spoke.
"Everyone makes mistakes. It's part of living a life. The important thing is, we acknowledge those mistakes and learn from them. If you can avoid doing it again, better, but if you can't don't be too harsh on yourself."
"I harmed a person, I think."
"You can always ask for forgiveness as long as you have the chance. Sometimes chance is the hardest to acquire as it would slip out without even giving you an opportunity to grab it, firmly..." His words started to become a whisper.
Chance was never given to him. As his beloved already died even before he could ask for forgiveness.
Han Meixiu imagined herself asking for forgiveness to Liu Zijian.
How would she even start? Or was it even needed? From the way he answered last night, it didn't seem he was mad at her 'actions' in the past.
"If you still need some time, it's fine. There was actually no exact time frame as to when you could remember everything."
If she wasn't comfortable yet, maybe it would be better to use another technique.
He could still remember what the Second Young Master Liu told him in a firm and commanding voice.
'Do not force her and any chemical treatment to gain her cooperation is extremely prohibited.'
Mr. Di never plan to do those things but he couldn't help himself admire the dedication of the young man in protecting his wife.
Maybe it runs in the family. Mr. Liu was also like that in the past.
Maybe he would also the same, if only his circumstances permitted him.
"Let's try again." Han Meixiu's voice broke the melancholic air around the older man. She didn't really want to waste more time thus all she could do was to cooperate.

Liu Zijian like yesterday wasn't able to monitor the time. After hearing the door opened he raised his head briefly and held out his hand.
He just asked Ye Ming to gather some documents but when the folder was placed on his hand, the latter slightly coughed.
Liu Zijian alarmingly looked at the man. His complexion was not good. He silently scolded himself for forgetting that Ye Ming was still recovering and making him busy just him would surely not help his assistant.
"Go home first."
"I'm okay." Ye Ming nonchalantly answered. He tried to actually prevent himself uttering any sound but that small cough escaped his mouth.
He simply couldn't stomach that his boss was working and he's taking a rest. He was already blaming himself for their accident and couldn't wait to receive his punishment. But he wasn't punished in the end.
He wanted to prove more than ever that he's competent assistant thus even though he was still sometimes dizzy, he ignored it and still worked efficiently.
"You're not. Take a rest." Liu Zijian said firmly as he stared directly at Ye Ming.
Ye Ming was clearly familiar with that look coupled with that tone of voice. He bowed respectfully and went out of the office.
He was still worried that the Second Young Master Liu would eventually overwork himself.
"If only the Young Mistress is here." He murmured. But he knew that Han Meixiu was under a certain therapy thus it would be impossible for her to visit.
I might put this novel in hiatus soon. A family member is still fighting for her dear life in the hospital since the start of this month.
June isn't a good month for us.
If worse comes to worst, I'll provide you (readers) a summary for the remaining part of the story.
Thank you.
