History

There is an energy in this world called World Energy or Mana. There are different utilizations of mana. Jobs are based on that. Elementalists, Mages, knights, and, magic knights. People can have affinity with one or more elementals. There are four basic ones namely water, fire, wind and earth. Other elementals are derived from them .

Her mother is a mage. She is a water mage. She knows heal spells and basic spells needed for daily life. Healing spells are also basic ones because high level ones are mostly owned by nobilities. She has only one high level spell which is an offensive spell because she is a daughter of a fallen nobility. But she couldn't learn it because of low mana. And she hoped that her daughter could learn it. But it only depended on Ayesha's luck in which element would she awaken to.

Most children show sign of awakening their magic by the age of eight. But in some rare cases, some children do that before eight. The chances of it happening are low. Last case happened hundred years ago.

"I am going to to teach you some of the history of our empire today", said Razia to her adorable daughter Ayesha.

'Ugh! I hate history. Somebody help me ' cried Ayesha in her mind. But she had to learn history of this world as it was of great importance for her survival.

The kingdom which Ayesha lived in was called Jewel Kingdom. Hundreds of thousand years ago, there lived different tribes. But then, one of the tribe declared war upon other tribes. The Saol tribe emerged as the victor in the war. That tribe united all the other tribes into one. After many centuries of development, it emerged into a kingdom.

At the east of the kingdom lies the forbidden forest. Anyone who went there never came back. Some says that after passing the forest comes the place that is more advanced and developed so nobody wants to come back. Some says that there are blood sucking creatures or vengeful spirits of the past there. Hence, more mouths will have more talks.

At the south of the kingdom lies another kingdom called Sapphire Kingdom. It is more prosperous than the jewel kingdom and only wants peace. It never fights to conquer other kingdoms. Elves live there.

At the north of the kingdom lies Ruby Kingdom. Any race can live there. It is a very prosperous and advanced kingdom as there are geniuses of different races working there.

Ayesha was tired mentally after digesting the basic history. Her mother made her her favourite dish after the lecture. She ate it like she had never ate before. She then slept until the morning. The next day, she got up early like always and said good morning to 'her' family. After eating breakfast, she ask her mother to teach her about magic excitedly. "Only awakened ones can do magic. You have to awaken first."

"How can awaken my magic, mother. I wanna try. Uwaa."

"Okay okay. I will tell you. Stop crying."

Ayesha stopped pretending. She focused seriously on her mother's words.

"First you have to draw a circle with elemental symbols written in ancient language. It is called an awakening circle. The circle with the magic as a fuel will then help the wannabe awakener with sensing the elements around him/her. The elements he/she senses will then be the elements he/she can use. He/she can be attuned with one or more elements. If one cannot sense elements then that means he/she can be a magi or he isn't old enough yet."

"I wanna try too. Uwaa"

"Okay okay. You can try it when you become five years old. That is the minimum age at which someone awakened. I cannot let you do it before. If you are interrupted in the process of awakening or you do not a clear mind you will suffer a backlash. I don't want that to happen to my princess. Do i?"

She pouted. She could only wait.
