The Era of Villains

Gigantomachia stared down at Izuku, who looked on in fear at him. The League made their presence known to the entire battlefield.

"Those little Overdrive Heroes of yours were pretty easy to dispatch with good ole' Gigantomachia here. What're you all gonna do now?" Dabi taunted.

As the battle started to come to a close, at the Villa, wounded heroes were being patched up as best as they possibly could.

"Does anyone know where Alyx is?" Momo worried.

"He hasn't been brought up; I haven't heard from him in a while." Mina responded.

Mina walked around to find any other injured heroes, only to stumble upon Midnight's mask, she immediately gasped and started bawling. Soon, Tomura and the villains had made their escape after decimating the heroes with ease. Alyx was woken up by pats of little hands on his face.

"Aly... Aly!" Liz's voice echoed.

Leonidus' vision became clear, seeing his younger sister's teary-eyed face.

"L-Liz...? What... Are you doing here?" Alyx asked.

"I-I wanted Boshi to take me back so I can save you! Mama's gonna be mad at me but I don't care!"

Tears dropped from Alyx's eyes as he struggled to sit on his knees, Liz looked over to see that his arm was missing. Leonidus quickly hugged her, resting his chin on her shoulder.

"You're brave, more than I ever was, Lizzie. You need to go back home, I'll be okay, I-I promise." Alyx reassured her.

He wiped tears off of her face as she nodded. Amaterasu reappeared; she was shocked to see Alyx's condition as he stood up.

"Sir... Do you want me to take you to a hospital?" She questioned.

"N-No, there's people... I need to save. I don't... Have time..."

He began to walk away from Amaterasu and Liz, walking all the way towards Uraraka's Heat Energy. As soon as he entered the town, he could hear all of the screams and cries of civilians. Uraraka looked behind her to see that Alyx was assisting people, despite his own injuries, she hurried her search for people alongside him.

"There's no point kid, it's hopeless, there's too many of them. I'm finding a different kind of work, you should too." A Pro Hero lamented.

"Coward... Get the fuck... Out of my face, you worthless loser... You never should've been a hero... If you let this overwhelm you. Fuck you." Alyx retorted.

He pushed past the "Hero" as he continued his search for people, Uraraka guided him towards other civilians. She saw that his eyes were blank, the only thing keeping him going was his will.

"You need medical attention, Alyx. Let me-"

"N-No! They... They need... Help!" Alyx retorted.

He walked past Ochako, propping himself up against some debris as he carried onward. Uraraka ran to go find more Pro Heroes to help aid Alyx. Leonidus found dozens of injured people, taking them to safety, and ultimately burying those that had died long before he got there. He collapsed to the ground, coughing up blood as his life flashed right before his eyes.

"𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦, 𝘗𝘢𝘱𝘢! 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘥𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘶𝘱!" A Younger Leonidus cheered.

Alyx mustered the remaining strength he had left to stand back up, the civilians looked on with great concern, watching blood drip down his body as he walked away.

"Son, you need medical treatment. Please... You've done all that you can." A older man begged.

"N-No! There's... There're more people in there... I just know it! I can't... I can't let them... Let them die!"

A few of the citizens tried to stop him but he pushed past them. As he took one more step forward, he lost his balance, finally succumbing to his injuries. The people Leonidus saved ran towards him, hollering for help, some of the heroes from the Villa came into the town after hearing the screaming. Yaoyorozu was one of them, the crowd of people separated, they tried their best to stop Leonidus' bleeding. Momo quickly sprang into action; she propped his head up on her legs as she treated his wounds as fast as she could.

"H-Hey, you're gonna be okay! Stay with me, please, okay?" Momo teared up.

The light in Alyx's eyes were long gone, his breathing had been slowed tremendously. Leonidus was escorted to a hospital by the other Pro Heroes. Yaoyorozu stayed by his side the entire way there.

[Two Days Later...]

Marie rushed into the hospital room to see her son, All Might was sitting next to him, his hand was on top of Alyx's. All Might looked over towards her, his eyes held nothing but regret and sorrow, Marie stepped forward as tears fell down her face.

"Oh my God... What happened to him?" She sniffled.

"He took the brunt of the attack, All For One got a hold of Darren's Quirk, giving it to a man by the name of Tomura Shigaraki. They fought him at Jaku City and... A-And..."

All Might burst into tears, holding his head in his hands, "I'm so sorry, Marie. I could've prevented all of this if I had just killed All For One, if I had just killed this one time, none of this would've happened."

"Don't apologize, nobody knew that this would happen, Toshinori. Not a single person."

The two sat in silence around Alyx, eventually, Marie was left alone in the room. She sobbed into Alyx, holding his hand, there was a cold feeling on her back.

"Mom...? Why are you... Oh, I guess I wasn't dreaming after all." Alyx spoke up.

"My baby! I'm so sorry! I'm so, so sorry!"

"Mom, it's okay. I understood what I was getting myself into."

He looked down at his left side, noticing that his arm was gone. Leonidus could still feel as if he had his arm, trying to reach out with what should've been both hands to hold his mother's hand.

"We'll fix this, I promise. The world right now is screwed up, I can tell, but we'll fix this somehow." Leonidus smiled.

Alyx struggled to get out of his bed, Marie gently pushed him back down, shaking her head at him.

"No, you need to rest, please." Marie told him.

"What about everyone else? Won't they need me?"

"They'll be okay, I'm certain they're resting, you've all been through a lot. The doctors told me they'll be keeping you for a while due to your injuries."

"But I wanna make sure they're okay too! I-I'll be fine!"

Marie looked over at the door, understanding what Alyx was truly saying. She thought of his friends, all of them smiling whenever he's around, and how everyone's mood changes whenever he's present.

"You're the glue that holds them together, aren't you?" Marie muttered aside.

"Yeah, I guess you can say that."

Marie got up and left the room, Alyx laid back down on his hospital bed, his mother soon returned after Leonidus heard yelling.

"Well, whoever you wanted to visit, you can!" She bubbled.

Leonidus left his bed, pulling the IV with him, he left the room only to find Momo leaving a room adjacent from his. She quickly ran over to him and hugged him.

"Thank God you're okay... Thank you..." Momo sniffled.

"For the most part. You didn't get hurt, did you? How's everyone else?"

"They're alright, everyone's still shaken up by what happened. Shoto, Midoriya and Bakugo were the ones that got hurt the most, being they were on the front lines alongside you. Endeavor's in critical condition for now but hopefully will be alright."

Alyx patted his side, "That's good to hear, not the injury stuff of course, at least they're alive still. I read the chart in front of my bed while my mom was yelling at the staff to let me loose for now. Apparently, I have a broken left leg, 5 broken ribs, a sprained neck, separated right shoulder, fractured wrist, and the most obvious one, a nonexistent left arm!"

"O-Oh... How... Never mind, I'm just glad you're alright. When are you getting discharged, do you know?"

"Probably not for a while, being my injuries are severe, I'm really using everything I've got just to stand right now. I was gonna visit everyone else, but I'm hurting a lot right now."

Momo put her hand on his back, "I can help you back into your room, just take it easy for us, please?"

Alyx smiled and nodded at her as they walked back to his hospital room. Several days had passed, U.A. had been converted into a stronghold for the citizens of Musutafu as villains destroyed cities across Japan. Kamui Woods spotted an incoming Nomu horde making their way towards them. He went to go warn the others before he saw someone in a familiar green and black checkered kimono standing in front of U.A.

"V-Vanguard?" Kamui wondered.

The swarm of Nomu all stopped in front of Leonidus, "Hinokami Kagura, Dragon Sun Halo Head Dance."

The entire small army of Nomu were engulfed by Alyx's Hinokami Kagura, being reduced to either ash or headless bodies on the ground. He exhaled as he put his sword back in it's sheath. Alyx turned back and waved at Kamui Woods, the doors opened up for him and his mother.

"Wow, that was impressive." Marie complimented.

Marie walked past her son and Kamui to head inside to check on Liz. Leonidus nodded at Woods.

"Kamui, glad to see you're alright. Where's Endeavor?" Alyx greeted.

"I believe he's talking to Nezu, that's the last thing I heard from him. I'm not entirely sure what they're discussing, however."

"Gotcha, thank you."

He walked inside of U.A. and headed towards Nezu's office. Leonidus overheard his classmates talking about Izuku's sudden departure from U.A. He stood in the doorway as they all pleaded with Endeavor to help them.

"Why use a tracker when you've got me?" Leonidus wondered.

"Alyx! You're alright!" Kirishima exulted.

"For the most part, but you guys were saying something about Izuku being gone?"

Momo handed him a letter, "He is, Midoriya left all of us letters, he left one for you as well."

Leonidus took it from her and read it:

"𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐲𝐱,

𝐈'𝐦 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐈 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝'𝐯𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧. Alyx folded the letter and put it in his pocket, "It'd be hypocritical of me to let him do this on his own, but at the same time I'd still be hypocritical if I didn't. I'd rather be a hypocrite instead of letting my friend exhaust himself. Where do we start?"

"Well, first, we need to get you a prosthetic arm." Endeavor commented.

"Aren't the borders closed? The only arm I can use is either my own or one specially made to handle my Overdrive. I didn't take one from the hospital since it'd be better to give it to someone who needs it." Leonidus answered.

Mina looked at where his left arm should've been, it was cut off from the elbow down.

"Can't you heal that up? You cut your hand off in the past and healed it up, remember?" Mina asked.

"That's a bit different. Being it's a smaller body part, I don't have an issue with regenerating it with my healing. We're talking about pretty much my entire left arm, I'm still not adept in my healing since it's a difficult thing to improve." He replied.

"So, where do we start?" Iida chimed in.

"That I'm not sure, wherever the tracker tells you, he's most likely moved miles ahead of us by now. That boy is determined to find AFO on his own." Endeavor assumed.

As the days passed, the students began to come up with a plan to find Izuku. Leonidus sat with his mother and Liz in their room in a civilian dorm.

"How are you guys holding up?" Alyx wondered.

"We're doing okay, I think Lizzie and I have some kind of cold, she's been coughing up a storm! I've taken her to Recovery Girl but she's not able to do anything. Not to mention Annie and Kariya, they're feeling the same way as us, but we'll be fine."

"Okay..."

Marie placed her hand on his head, "We'll be okay! It's not like we're not just gonna be here when you're out and about one of these days. The change in the weather's the problem, remember how you used to get sick whenever it suddenly rained?"

"Oh, right! I guess I forgot!"

"The only thing there is to do is rest and eat plenty of food! That's-"

"-The key to any victory!"

Alyx laughed as Marie kissed his forehead, coughing a bit into her elbow afterwards. In a now desolate city somewhere in Japan, Midoriya sat on a rooftop, waiting for any signs of a villain.

"Bad things are coming, boy." Someone told him.

Midoriya looked behind him to see Hametsu looking across towards the direction of Tartarus. Izuku got ready to fight, but Hametsu didn't move an inch, noting their differences in skill.

"I'm not here to fight, I'm only here to ask you this, where's Leonidus? I'd like to thank him for everything he's done."

"He was in the hospital the last time I checked, although I doubt he's there anymore, I'm not sure where he could be. Why do you care?"

"Just let me know when you see him, eh?"

Midoriya looked unsure as Hametsu hopped off the rooftop. His phone started ringing, he looked down to see that Alyx was calling him. Izuku stared down at his phone, letting it go to his voicemail. Midoriya sat there for a few minutes until he saw that Leonidus left a voice mail on his phone. He put his mask over himself as it began to rain.

"Hey, Izuku, I uh... If you can call me back, I just wanna talk to you about something, I'm pretty sure you already know what it is. But um... Yeah I... They really miss you, all of them do. Uraraka's been having a lot of sleepless nights since you left, that's what she told me anyway. I've been trying to keep everyone together, but we're all so tense after what happened, not to mention nobody is wanting me out of their sight because of my injuries. I just... I just wish things went differently; you know?" Leonidus' voice relayed.

Tears gently rolled down Izuku's face, "But I guess that's what fate had in store for us. Honestly, I guess I'm rambling to myself at this point, but I just wanted to say thank you. You've honestly helped me out, I never thought I'd say this but, you've made me feel like this was my original home in this reality. Who knew I'd hop dimensions and meet someone like you? If this is the last time we ever talk to each other, then I love you, brother."

The voicemail stopped, Midoriya sat there in silence, putting his phone back in his pocket. Izuku stumbled up to his feet and swung off the roof using his Blackwhip. Back at U.A., Alyx sat on top of the dorm's roof, looking at the war-torn city he called home.

"Up here often?" Uraraka wondered.

Alyx looked over at her as she sat down next to him. Leonidus resumed looking back towards the town.

"How many people do you think are dead down there? I've been wondering that ever since we lost, people have given up on Heroes, they've given up on everything. How are they gonna react if Izuku does come back?" Leonidus pondered.

"I-"

A gunshot rang off in the distance, "...I don't know. I honestly don't have a clue."

The two sat there silently, Ochako rested her chin on her knees as she held them close to her, Alyx looked over at her and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"We'll find him, don't worry, I'm sure he'll be alright. There's something I gotta do though."

Uraraka looked confused as Alyx stood up, "What's that? You aren't going out there, are you?"

"I am. I'll be fine, there's just some people I need to talk to."

Ochako nodded at him as Alyx took off into the sky. He gazed at all of the destroyed, desolate buildings around the town. Leonidus arrived at his destination, a rundown apartment building, he could smell nothing but death coming from it. Alyx entered through a window, but blue flames washed over where he stood. Dabi waited for the smoke to clear to check for signs of a dead body.

"Huh... You're awfully quick, Leonidus." Dabi remarked.

Alyx had put up a forcefield around himself before Dabi's flames had reached him. He lowered the forcefield but kept his Overdrive active.

"I'm only here to talk, Touya, nothing more."

"How'd you know my name?"

"It's... Complicated. Is it just you here? On second thought..."

The lights turned on, revealing Toga and Spinner, Alyx was a bit confused as to where Twice was at. He could tell by the expression on Himiko's face that there was a reason why he wasn't there.

"I'm not going to be pursuing any of you, regardless of what happens. The only monster here is All For One."

"And if we get in your way?" Touya wondered.

Alyx glared at him, "I think you already know the answer."

He smirked at Alyx as he sat down on the ground, leaning up against a wall, Toga stared at a vial of blood she took out from her pocket.

"Why exactly are you here? Just because Toga and I saved you once, that doesn't make us pals." Spinner remarked.

"After all of this is over, if we manage to defeat All For One, I'll do whatever it takes to make sure you three leave safely. What the world has done to you is more than cruel, you should at least experience peace without being persecuted. If you don't get arrested, that is."

"You expect us to believe you?" Touya scoffed.

"No, I don't. After all, I'm your number one enemy right now, considering how things have gone down. But I do mean it."

Alyx stood on the edge of the windowsill, "Think about it for a while, because if death comes knocking, I'm not sure if I'll be able to save you from it. Word of advice for you, try not to tear yourself apart, Touya."

[Several Days Later...]

Days had passed since Alyx's meeting with the League of Villains. He concocted a plan that had pinpointed Izuku's estimated whereabouts, pulling from reports of a scary looking individual saving people across Japan. Alyx presented his findings to his classmates, all of which were impressed, noting that everything was refined and precise.

"Come on, we need to go find him."

"Right now? A-Are you sure?" Mina wondered.

"I only smell nothing but despair anymore, I won't let All For One continue his charade any longer. We're gonna put a stop to this, we have to, for everyone that's died because of him."

A newfound determination was cemented in Alyx's heart, the students got to work, putting on their hero costumes and walking out of the dorms together. As the left U.A., they formed a wall of Heroes, making their way into Musutafu. A group of small time Villains turned the corner to see them walking down the street.

"Hey! This place ain't hero country no more!" The Villain laughed.

Within an instant, he was knocked unconscious, the other three standing next to them didn't even see what hit him! Alyx glared at them as the students passed by. The more villains that came, the more that fell! Class A had become an unstoppable force nobody could reckon with! After a couple hours, they all stopped in front of the All Might statue located in the middle of town, noticing a semi-fresh bento on the ground.

"He's been here, I can smell his scent, the same with All Might's. Let's split up and see if we can't find him." Alyx informed them.

The students split up into groups to search for Izuku. As the rain became heavy, their search became more thorough. Alyx, Yaoyorozu and Ojiro approached the western end of town when Leonidus caught Izuku's scent. Momo and Ojiro followed after Leonidus as he made his way down an alleyway. An explosion could be heard in the distance, the students gathered towards Katsuki's location after he found Midoriya. Everyone made sure the area was clear and that the Tartarus escapee was secured before approaching Izuku.

"W-What... Why are... You here?" Izuku wondered.

Alyx stepped forward, "We're here to make things right, Izuku. You need to come back to U.A., please, you don't have to do this."

"But I... Don't want to hurt you guys... Just go... Back..."

"You won't hurt us, Deku! We understand what we're getting into, we just need your help!" Uraraka reassured him.

"N-No... None of you... Can take him on." Midoriya disagreed.

"You're right, we can't, not unless we do it together. The path you're going down now is one that will get you killed, Midoriya." Shoto responded.

Bakugo stood next to Leonidus, "Yeah, you goddamn All Might wannabe, quit tryin' to do this shit by yourself! How can you say that when we weren't prepared in the past?"

Midoriya was quiet, he fiercely looked up at his peers, "Get out of my way. Now."

"Then make us, Izuku." Leonidus retorted.

Smoke burst out from Midoriya, shrouding the students in a dense smokescreen, Alyx darted into the air after him.

"Izuku! Wait! Please!" Alyx pleaded.

Midoriya shot out his Blackwhip without warning, binding Alyx to a building, Leonidus sat there as he watched his friends chase after him.

"𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘐'𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦, 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘶𝘱 𝘣𝘺 𝘢 𝘘𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘬𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘥?!" He remembered his words to Yoriichi.

"I never told you... Izuku..." Leonidus muttered to himself.

The Blackwhip binds suddenly disappeared right as a huge pillar of ice covered the skyline in front of him. With a heart filled with desperation, Leonidus bolted towards Izuku in Gear Six, using his full power! He grabbed Izuku's hand, smiling through the tears that ran down his face.

"I've always been jealous of you, Izuku! You've always been fast enough to save the people you love, while I wasn't, they'd always end up getting hurt! So please... Just this once... Let this be the one time I can!" Leonidus sobbed.

"You... Alyx...!"

Midoriya's grip tightened as much as it could on Alyx's hand. His other arm outstretched towards Leonidus, drawing his head into his shoulder.

"That's because... I've always looked up to you too..." Izuku confessed.

Alyx subconsciously tapped into Midoriya's memories, seeing all of the times he's saved someone. One person in particular, Rody Soul, stood out to him the most.

"𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘭𝘭 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘐'𝘮 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥! 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘮𝘦, 𝘍𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵?! 𝘜𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬, 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘯!!" Izuku thundered.

Alyx snapped back to reality, he hugged Midoriya back, the rain started to lessen up.

"Whatever he said, it worked, thank God..." Uraraka gave a sigh of relief.

The two landed down on the ground, Alyx stepped back away from Izuku as he kept a smile on his face.

"Thank you, Izuku. Thank you a million times over." He gently sniffled.

His classmates ran over to him, Katsuki stepped forward after everyone addressed their concerns, the students were completely silent.

"Izuku... I'm sorry for everything I've done." Bakugo finally apologized.

Leonidus could tell that his apology was bringing some sense back into Midoriya. He reflected back on how him and Mikey were somewhat similar to the two. Growing up as rivals, one seeing the other as an annoying weakling, taking a different path to becoming the heroes they wanted to be, but ultimately guided by their favorite Hero. Izuku falls unconscious into Bakugo's arms, exhausted from the fighting he's been through for the past month. Leonidus felt distant as his peers rushed over to Katsuki and Midoriya. He saw how much each of them has changed since the war in Jaku City.

"𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦... 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘭𝘭... 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘦." Alyx thought.

Time froze around Leonidus, he looked to his left and noticed Amaterasu standing patiently.

"I'm afraid it's almost time, Alyx." She ominously told him.

"What? What do you mean? Amaterasu? I don't like that tone."

Leonidus looked at her slightly sullen expression, shaking his head as he walked over to her.

"No, no, you don't mean... Amaterasu... Please..."

"Yes, I do, it's catching up to you. There's not much I can do, it's already begun, my father can't hold it back any longer."

Alyx turned pale as he looked away from her, "T-Then, I'll do what it takes to make sure everyone is safe while there's still time."

Amaterasu nodded before time resumed, he activated his Overdrive, his friends looked behind him.

"I'll meet you guys back at U.A., I-I... I have to check on something." Leonidus informed them.

He darted into the sky and headed back towards U.A. He could hear his heart pounding in his head, his breathing grew shakier as he got closer and closer to U.A, Alyx soon landed down in front of the civilian dorms. The room in front of him was where his Mother and Liz were staying, the doorknob he held onto was nearly as cold as ice. He reluctantly opened the door, stepping into a now empty room, removed of what life had been there hours prior. Leonidus fell to his knees, realizing what had been spun into motion. He no longer had family to turn to, and soon, he too would be erased. Leonidus returned to his dorm room, leaving a note on the front of his door, letting everyone know he was going into the Seventh Plane to train until he was 'ready for what comes to us all soon.
