After a hectic couple of months, Leonidus finally found the time to relax, he thought of going to the Butterfly Mansion to see how the Pillars of Hope were doing. In particular, he wanted to talk to Akua Tomioka.
"Ms. Tomioka! Hey!" He waved at her.
Akua looked over at him and slightly waved back, as he approached her, she noticed he had a basket of freshly cooked food.
"What's that for?" Akua asked.
"Oh, I wanted to eat lunch with you! I've been talking with Mr. Rengoku and the other Pillars of Hope, but I've always seen you by yourself, even when you're eating."
"That's because I like being alone."
"Okay! But I wanna eat with you still!"
Akua glared at Alyx, seeing the innocence in his eyes, she couldn't muster the strength to tell him "No". She sighed as she beckoned him to follow her into her room. The two sat down on zabutons in front of a small table. Leonidus noticed that there were two beds in her room.
"Ms. Tomioka, was there someone else in here too?" He asked.
"That... That's just... Never mind, okay?"
Alyx looked a bit concerned at her, eventually getting up and setting the food on the table in front of them.
"Why did you want to eat with me anyway?"
"I always thought meals tasted better with someone else. My Mom told me that when I was younger, or well, in my original reality I should say."
Akua lowered an eyebrow, "Original reality?"
"Yeah, that spirit friend I told you about, Amatsu Mikaboshi? He was ordered to protect me, not possess me, by my Grandmother. He brought me here being this was a safe haven, at least until All-Maker showed up."
"Do you ever... Feel like you don't belong?"
"I do all the time. Knowing that I'm not meant to be here, it definitely hurts, but I'm forever grateful that I've been given a second chance. I think that's more important than the hurt I feel, that's why I can live with it. Being able to meet people like you, Ms. Tomioka, that's the reason why I keep going. I wanna live my life regardless of where I'm from, regardless of my upbringing."
Akua thought back to her brother, seeing him smile at her just like Alyx was.
"𝘈𝘬𝘶𝘢! 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘬 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦! 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵, 𝘩𝘦'𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘸𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘯𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴!" She remembered his words.
Tomioka finally smiled at Leonidus, "I appreciate that, Leonidus. Keep that positivity."
Alyx bit down on a kelp riceball, nodding at her statement, he handed her a riceball as well. Kasai poked his head in through Akua's door which startled the both of them.
"Young Leonidus!! I knew that you were here!!" He laughed.
"My door, Rengoku! The fucking door!" Akua yelled.
He looked around to notice that he had put his head through her door, "Oh my! Silly me!"
Kasai backed away from the door before opening it, he closed the door behind him before inhaling a large amount of air.
"It's good to see you're socializing with the youngsters, Akua! I didn't think you'd be the one for interaction!"
"Thanks, I guess?"
"Speaking of, I'd like to speak with you, Leonidus!"
"Okay! Akua, I'll be right back!" Alyx told her.
Leonidus got up and followed Rengoku out of her room. As the two stood outside, looking at the garden in front of them, Kasai looked over at Alyx.
"You must like muscular women!" Kasai remarked.
"W-What?! What even brought that up?!"
"That girl you're with all the time, the one you brought over to the mansion the other day? She's rather fit for someone her age, then again, so are you!"
"T-That's just because she did her training with me, Mr. Rengoku. She asked to be put on a similar regimen as me, all while being able to do her studies and whatnot, you know?"
Kasai nodded his head at him, "Ah, I see!"
Leonidus mentally let out a sigh of relief, having his secret almost get out, he saw Kasai endlessly staring into the flowers in front of him.
"Mr. Rengoku?" Leonidus spoke up.
"Hm?"
"Thank you for taking me in for that Work Study. I also wanted to thank you for helping me out with my Breathing Styles as well. I wouldn't be where I am right now if it wasn't for you."
Kasai laughed and placed his hand on Alyx's shoulder, "My boy, you are the only one who can decide your fate. I serve as a stepping stone towards your greater purpose. What that may be, I will never truly know, but as long as you reach it, I can die comfortably knowing I helped you achieve your destiny."
Leonidus gently smiled at him, he then realized something before pulling a wrapped gift out from his bag.
"Before I forget, I wanted to give you this as well! I made something for all of you guys. About what you were saying, my destiny and all that, I'm not too sure what exactly I was put on this Earth to do. But I promise I'll find out what!"
Leonidus began to make his way to the courtyard, "I'll be right back, Mr. Rengoku! I'm gonna go give these to everyone else!"
Alyx went off to go find the other Pillars. Kasai looked down at the present and unwrapped it. It was a handcrafted wooden music box, as he wound it up, it began to play a familiar melody. Rengoku remembered his Mother humming the song to him when he was just a boy. He looked over to see him conversing with the Kocho twins, Honoka and Hotaru, watching him give them the music boxes as well. He looked down at his music box, a single tear hit the edge of the oak wood lid.
"That Quirk of yours is truly something else, Alyx Leonidus." Kasai muttered aside.
Leonidus' next stop was Etsuko Iguro, he made his way inside one of the infirmary rooms to see that she was recovering from a previous mission.
"Ms. Iguro!" Alyx greeted.
"Ah, there's that handsome boy I know! It's a pleasure to see you, Alyx."
He set down a gift in front of her, "What's this? You didn't have to give me something, you know!"
"I just wanted to thank all of you for allowing me to conduct my Work Studies with you."
Etsuko opened up her gift, it was a small wooden flute made out of celtis wood.
"I overheard Mr. Shinazugawa say something about you losing your flute a while ago. I decided to make a new one for you."
She held the flute close to her, "I love it already, thank you, Alyx!"
"No problem! Speaking of Mr. Shinazugawa, I should give him his gift as well!"
Etsuko kissed Leonidus on his forehead before he left, Alyx made his way over towards the training area, a place where Fujin was normally lounging about.
"Hey, Mr-" Alyx called out.
"EYAAAAAAAAH!!!!"
Leonidus was frozen in place after Fujin's shrill cry of anger. He stood up to see Alyx standing behind him, Shinazugawa rolled his eyes then sighed.
"Oh, it's you. I figured it was those other dumbasses that were here before, that pink haired brat was annoying. What do you want exactly?" Fujin grumbled.
"I just wanted to give you this!"
Fujin took the present from him, "The fuck is this supposed to be?"
Alyx nodded at him and waited for Shinazugawa to open it. He tore open the wrapping paper, seeing that it was a large titanium knife, fashioned with a green cloth wrapped hilt. The right side of the blade had his name engraved on it, the knife was jagged, each point was razor sharp.
"I made it myself! It'll rip and tear through flesh nicely!" Leonidus chirped.
Fujin looked over to see Leonidus' eyes were teeming with bubbly innocence. Fujin grinned manically as he stared at his reflection.
"Maybe you aren't so shitty after all, Leonidus."
Shinazugawa looked away from his blade to see that Alyx had disappeared. Leonidus noticed that everyone else wasn't at the mansion, he made his way over to the Pillar's meeting spot. He saw Mr. Ubuyashiki sitting on the patio, staring out at the plentiful garden in front of him. Alyx knelt down in front of him, holding a gift in his hand, Ubuyashiki looked down at it.
"Oh? What is this?" He asked.
"It's a gift I made! I wanted to thank you for everything, Mr. Ubuyashiki."
"How kind of you, young man, that's very thoughtful."
Ubuyashiki opened his gift, it was a pristine quilt, it had a wisteria leaf design on it. He set it on his lap and patted Alyx's head. Leonidus looked down at his watch, getting up as Mr. Ubuyashiki wrapped himself in the quilt.
"I should get going now, I've got one more gift to give before I head back home."
"Indeed, you are dismissed, Leonidus."
Alyx got up and left the meeting room, outside of the mansion, Yaoyorozu pulled up in her car. She looked around at the well kept mansion and it's bountiful gardens.
"This is the place? I wonder why I've never seen it before? Oh, there he is!"
Leonidus left Akua's room, he looked up and perked up even more than usual after seeing Momo. Alyx suddenly disappeared off of the porch, Yaoyorozu looked around but couldn't find him, she was blatantly confused. Her driver side window rolled down, Alyx poked his head through with a intense smile on his face.
"Happy birthday." He told her.
Momo smiled at him and kissed his forehead, "Thank you, now could you sit in your seat now Mr. No License?"
Leonidus sat back in the passenger seat as Momo entered her car. They pulled out of the Butterfly Mansion, heading into Musutafu, Yaoyorozu looked over as Alyx still had his cheerful look.
"So, you wanted me to just pick you up so we can head back to my home? Is that it?" Momo asked.
"Uh huh! Well, not exactly. I can't tell you because it'd ruin the surprise!"
"Alright then, I won't ask until we get there."
During the drive back, Alyx talked to her about his training and how he wanted to start it back up again, but at a reasonable pace. Once they arrived at her home, Momo stood in the driveway with Leonidus as he opened up a portal to the Seventh Plane.
Alyx grabbed her hand and led her in, "I can't wait to show you what I made!"
As the two entered the Plane, Momo was greeted by a pale blue hue, she gazed upon thousands of stars with galaxies intertwined. Yaoyorozu was speechless, taking in the beauty of the sight.
"Y-You... You made this for me?"
"I know how much you like stargazing, this took me quite a while to make, I wanted to get it just right. I was..."
"You were what, darling?"
"...This was originally going to be for Laura since she liked stargazing too. It too me about two years to finish this, I planned it to be a place for myself, but I figured that would be a bit selfish."
Momo hugged him, "I love it, thank you, Alyx."
The two sat under the starry sky for a while until Momo reminded Alyx about the karaoke bar they were supposed to be at. The two left the Seventh Plane and sped off towards town to meet with everyone else.
[Several Minutes Later...]
Momo and Alyx arrived at the karaoke bar, hearing ear bleeding screeching coming from within the bar. They entered to see Kaminari "singing" to his hearts content on the stage.
"Oh my god, thank the lord you're here! Jiro's in the bathroom or else she'd be going so Kaminari's been singing for her. Could one of you please take his spot?" Uraraka pleaded.
"I'm not the greatest at singing, unfortunately, piano is more my thing! But Alyx is surprisingly good at singing, I've heard him a couple of times in the past." Momo answered.
"W-What? I've never sang before! I-I can assure you I sound awful!"
"Oh come on, darling, it'll be fun! You only have to be up there for a few minutes at most."
Alyx sighed as he looked away, "F-Fine, I guess I'll do it then..."
Denki's song finally ended, allowing Alyx to head up on stage next, standing in front of a crowd of people.
"What song d'ya want, kid?" A man asked.
"Um... Do you have Hetakuso by Given?"
"I think so, let me check and see."
The man went to the karaoke machine and looked through the songs. He looked over and nodded at Alyx, he stood in front of the microphone, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath in. The song started up, Alyx tapped his foot to the beat, waiting for it to begin. Jiro walked out of the bathroom with intrigue after seeing him on stage. He started up, his voice surprising his classmates.
"Holy... I didn't realize he could sing!" Kirishima grinned.
Having saved everyone's ears, the people in the karaoke bar were fully enthralled by Alyx's singing, every patron's eyes were on him. Yaoyorozu was intently listening to him, completely mesmerized by his voice. She took in the lyrics as he went along, quietly singing with him.
"𝘞𝘢𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘍𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘭?" Kyoka thought.
The entire room became empty in Alyx's eyes, the only person he could see was Yaoyorozu, singing along with him. He began to smile as he adjusted to his surroundings, finally seeing the room filled with smiling faces. His friends and the crowd of people in the bar began to sing with him. People walking past the bar even peeked their heads in to see what was going on. Once the song had finished, the crowd cheered Alyx's performance, Leonidus left the stage and joined his peers.
"Dude, that was awesome! I didn't know you can sing!" Denki complimented.
"Thanks! Hey.... Where's Momo?"
"She went up onto the roof terrace a little bit ago, she might still be there, I'd think." Sero told him.
Leonidus found the stairwell that went up to the terrace. He saw her looking out towards the city streets. Alyx accompanied her and leaned over the railing next to Yaoyorozu.
"I'm really glad you came." Momo smiled.
"You didn't think I would?"
"Well, it's more than just that. I understand that you're still trying to find out who you really are. I don't blame you after everything you've gone through with All-Maker. It'd also be nice if we could see each other more often too."
Alyx tilted his head a bit, "Oh, do I not spend a lot of time with you?"
"To be honest, not really, the only time we see each other is during school and at the dorms before we go to bed."
"I didn't realize, that's my fault, Momz. There're things I can cut out for sure, but I don't see why you can't help me find who I really am. I should've asked a while ago."
Momo stood up away from the railing, "Okay, so... What did you have in mind? Are we going to fight villains for hours on end?"
"No. I do have to show you something though. Something I've been keeping from all of you, I want you to keep this to yourself."
Alyx opened up a portal to the Seventh Plane, the two walked inside, revealing an old temple in front of them.
"This is Fate's Temple, it'll tell anyone their fate, if it's written on the walls it's set in stone."
Momo followed him inside the temple, she observed the carvings on the walls, various battles from Alyx's past and future were depicted. They stopped at the end of a hallway, the carvings were carefully etched into the limestone wall, more detailed than the others.
"What language is this, Alyx? It looks thousands of years old. Is that All For One as well?"
"You'd be right about both of those. It's what the Creator Gods used centuries ago, they still do, just not as frequently. The writing up there states the time frame, June of 2149, and the bottom..."
Momo stepped forward, "The bottom says what? Is it something bad?"
"It's my date of death, I die fighting All For One, that's where my story ends."
"I-Isn't there a way to stop that? There's gotta be a way we can prevent that!"
Alyx looked behind him, "There is a way, a Soul Contract, the binding of two souls from different realities. The only downside is that I have no control over what counterpart I bind my soul to. Neither do I control their actions."
Leonidus walked towards Momo, handing her a Nichirin Blade of her own, she looked down at it before looking up at Alyx. She took the sword and studied it with confusion.
"I've taught you everything for a reason, I've been preparing for this moment since I started speaking with All-Maker. You can't hesitate to kill me if anything happens."
"W-What...? Why... Why me?"
"Because regardless of what reality, I would never lay a finger on you willingly. You're the only one besides Deku that can stop me. I trust you'll do the right thing, Momo."
Yaoyorozu started to tear up, "I... I don't know if I can. Are you sure about all of this? Please tell me there's another way."
"There isn't. I want to make sure my time with all of you isn't cut short. I'll do what I have to in order to see it through. I'm visiting All-Maker sometime soon, I have to do it alone I'm afraid, you won't be able to come with me. But I promise you, I will make sure nothing happens to any of you."
Alyx held Momo's hand, "Come on, let's go, those carvings are no longer my fate."
[The Next Day...]
After an interesting birthday, Yaoyorozu couldn't wrap her head around everything that happened at the temple, her thinking was rather noticeable in class.
"𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘐 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵." Leonidus relayed to her.
Momo turned her head to see Alyx with a reassuring smile on his face. She felt a bit relieved although still uncertain with Leonidus' next few months.
