Protective and Loyal Priya

Hendrix's POV the day after he arrived.

Hendrix woke up the following day and realized bandages had covered him. However, he couldn't feel anything from his limbs and torso as blood dripped from his mouth.

"It hurts so much." Hendrix painfully spoke as he turned his head to look around the room. Additionally, he held back blood-curdling screams.

The room smelled like mint mixed with cinnamon. And sweet-smelling incense burned from each corner of the room on small dressers.

The floor black stone tiles covered the floor, ceiling, and walls. Additionally, about thirty other luxurious beds dotted the room. However, Priya was sleeping in the one next to him, and next to Priya was Thiago.

'I wish I could sleep again, but it's too soon.' Hendrix thought before sighing and emptily looking at the ceiling.

After Hendrix thought this, Priya opened her eyes. And she looked at herself covered in bandages before gazing at Hendrix.

"Hendrix, are you alright?" Priya asked with an emotionless expression as her yellow eyes peered at him.

"I wish I were, but having all my bones cracked, my spine snapped, and my limbs and torso frozen is excruciating." Hendrix replied before slowly closing his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Hendrix." Priya stated before getting up despite her pain and slowly walking to Hendrix's bed.

"Priya, you should rest. We both shouldn't be moving." Hendrix quickly instructed.

"Hendrix, I promised to do everything I can to protect and nurture you." Priya replied before quietly sitting beside Hendrix and leaning towards his ear.

"I know, but-" Hendrix tried to explain. However, Priya interrupted him.

"Hendrix, can you set my spawn point here?" Priya whispered.

"You want to die to return to peak condition?!' Hendrix whispered and frowned.

"Yes, I want to take care of you, Hendrix. It's hard to do that in this condition." Priya whispered.

"Dying isn't a pleasant experience Priya. Besides, if I set your spawn point and you die and respawn here, many people will suspect something about you." Hendrix whispered while narrowing his eyes.

"The second fact is the point. I want to draw the attention away from you so you can live an easier life. Besides, you can move my spawn point a week afterward. So don't worry. I said I'll protect you. And I'll do so in more ways than one." Priya whispered while peering into Hendrix's eyes.

'I'm so grateful Priya's keeping me safe.' Hendrix thought as he teared up and smiled. "Alright, I'll set it." Hendrix whispered before subsequently setting Priya's spawn point in her bed.

"Thank you, Hendrix." Priya stated before returning to her bed. Subsequently, she buried her head under her pillow and became silent.

"Your welcome, Priya." Hendrix replied while resting.

After about ten minutes, Priya's body began to disappear. And eventually, it was gone entirely.

[Priya has died from asphyxiation.]

[Priya is reviving at her spawn point.]

Subsequently, Priya's silhouette began to materialize. She had no injuries and was in perfect condition while wearing the same outfit. Afterward, her yellow eyes opened, and she peered into his.

"It's alright, Hendrix. I'm here, and I'll take care of you." Priya stated before getting up and sitting down beside Hendrix.

"Thank you for doing this, Priya." Hendrix thanked.

"Your welcome, Hendrix. Now I'll watch over you and keep you safe." Priya replied while reaching for Hendrix's head and gently scratching it with her left hand.

Hendrix's body relaxed, and he felt tingles as Priya scratched his head.

"Aww, you like having your head scratched, Hendrix?" Priya asked while gazing into his eyes.

"Yes, I do." Hendrix responded while weakly smiling and his body going limp.

"Good, I'll do this as long as possible, Hendrix. Just relax and enjoy me spoiling you." Priya spoke while her expression remained the same.

"Alright."

Subsequently, Priya scratched Hendrix's head for thirty minutes before stopping.

"Hendrix, what kind of things do you want to learn here? And what classes do you want to take?" Priya questioned while gently scratching Hendrix's head with her right hand.

"I want to take magic, fighting style, and other class types." Hendrix replied while wheezing.

"I see. Well, I'll take the same classes as you. I don't want to see you ripped in half by strong jealous people." Priya stated.

"Alright. However, I can't do anything until my wounds somehow heal." Hendrix stated while sighing.

"I'll take care of you, Hendrix. Now I'll hold you and nurture you." Priya stated while gently but carefully picking Hendrix up. Secondly, she lay down where he was and placed him on her. And lastly, she lay his head on her chest.

"How can you hold me without hurting me due to my injuries, Priya?" Hendrix asked as his eyes widened. Additionally, he felt himself slowly sink into Priya's embrace as hers cradled his body.

"Because I have great control of myself, Hendrix. Now relax, and listen to my voice." Priya suggested while wrapping her arms around him and gently rubbing his chest with her left hand. Additionally, she softly kissed his forehead.

"Thank you, Priya." Hendrix replied while feeling no extra pain from being held despite his horrific injuries.

"Your welcome, Hendrix. Just know if there's no way to heal you. I'll hold you as much as possible so you'll feel safe, okay?" Priya stated while she gently kissed Hendrix's forehead again.

{Hendrix, your safe now. Please don't be afraid of anything. Sativa, Priya, and I are your guardians, and we'll protect you.}

"So comfy... So warm..." Hendrix squeaked while feeling his body sink in more. He had a silly smile, as he felt very comfortable.

"Heh, I'm glad you feel that way, Hendrix. And I'm also glad I can do this for you while keeping you safe and happy." Priya replied while gently nuzzling Hendrix's forehead before kissing it. Additionally, she began to hum a gentle tune.

"Hehe. Thanks, Priya." Hendrix replied while closing his eyes and listening to Priya's gentle heartbeat, breathing, and humming.

Subsequently, the duo rested for about an hour before Thiago woke up.

"Hey, I'm alive and well. I can finally live a good life and feel safe." Thiago spoke before turning his head to Priya and Hendrix.

Priya ignored Thiago and continued to cradle and hold Hendrix.

"Miss, do you want to be friends?" Thiago asked while sitting up in his bed and smiling widely.

"I apologize, but I must decline." Priya stated before focusing on Hendrix once more.

"Aww, why not Priya?" Thiago asked while getting up out of his bed.

"I don't trust you." Priya stated before gently nuzzling Hendrix's forehead.

"Hmm, who is this little guy again?" Thiago asked while looking at Hendrix.

"He's Hendrix, and he's under my protection." Priya replied while pulling the covers over Hendrix and herself.

"I see. It must be nice for him to feel safe." Thiago thought out loud before going back to his bed and lying down.

Subsequently, the group continued to rest. Thiago on his own, and Priya cradled Hendrix.
