A new magic(corrected)

Inside the meeting room, Loki, Finn, Riveria, and Gareth had gathered to discuss the events of the exploration and the matter of Mark.

"Yaaa, you saved me there Finn." -Loki said with a sigh of relief, she expected Tione to be surprised, but she didn't expect her to start shaking her like a shaker, for more information.

"It is my job to prevent any disturbances."

Finn managed to calm Tione down and convince her not to talk about the fact that Mark could level up, but he knew it wouldn't be long before the news spread.

"Anyway, it's amazing, he's already met the requirements to become a level 3, and he's been an adventurer for two and a half months, it took me over four years." -Said Riveria amazed.

"But Loki, don't you think you were too hard on him? Even if Tione doesn't specialize in defense and will be limited, she is still a level six, wounding her won't be easy." -Gareth asked doubtfully.

"It wouldn't be a challenge otherwise, besides remember Mark isn't stupid, if he accepted it means he has something in mind. All I want is for him to understand that even though he is strong, there are still limits."

"What if he can pass this test of yours?" -Finn asked.

"Then it means I possess a gem of the same value as Aiz." -Showing a smile full of interest, she couldn't wait to see if her expectations would be exceeded.

"Oh, those words of yours could be called the best compliment, but I think it's time we talked about our current problem." -Said seriously Finn.

"The dungeon has more than one entrance." -Loki agreed, also becoming serious.

This was a theory they already had before, but it was confirmed by the various events that happened both before and after the expedition. The situation became even more problematic by the fact that the jewels could create corrupted spirits, if the Evilus were to use this second entrance to bring out those monsters, there was no telling what kind of damage they would bring to Orario.

"Obviously while you guys were down I did a couple of investigations with Hermes and Dionysus, we believe it may be in Melen, or at the very least we can find traces, so I plan to go there tomorrow to investigate."

Melen was a port city about a day's journey from Orario and the reason it was so famous? When the Leviathan, one of the three monster kings, escaped from the dungeon, it created a passage between the dungeon and the sea that Melen overlooked. Fortunately, the passage was closed 16 years ago, when the Hera, Zeus, and Poseidon Familia joined forces to bring down the monster and used its fossil to close the breach, but even with the disappearance of the Leviathan, the sea was infected by the monsters.

"I see, then who will accompany you?"

"I will bring the girls of the Familia." -Loki said simply.

"How come this decision?" -Gareth asked confused.

"No particular reason." -Loki said while maintaining a stoic face, but what she really thought was.

'Hehehe I'll be able to see all the girls while wearing swimming costumes.'

"..." -Finn, Gareth, and Riveria could sense that Loki was thinking about something, but they could only hope for her and that she wouldn't do anything stupid.

--- General pov ---

The next day, Mark woke up quite late, as he had spent the night devising various plans and training guidelines, including developing magic that would allow him to become faster, so he wanted to go to Aiz, the only person he knew who had such magic, but it seemed he was out of luck.

"If you are looking for Aiz, she along with the others and Loki went to Melen." -Cruz, who was in the dining room, told him.

'Haaaa, patience, that means I'll train at the dungeon.' -Unfortunately for Mark, it seemed that even that possibility was out of the question.

"I'm very sorry, but it's not possible to enter today." -The attendant in front of the dungeon told him.

"Can you tell what the problem is now?" -Mark asked wearily.

"On the 18th floor a monster appeared caused by the divinity of a god who was present there. Luckily, the monster was handled by the adventurers present, but we want to keep the dungeon closed for today just in case." -Said the attendant apologizing for the inconvenience.

'The monster was probably the reason behind yesterday's shaking, but it has to be said that the 18th floor seems almost cursed, all unfortunate events happen there.'

Thanking the attendant for the information, Mark didn't want to miss a day of training and headed towards the walls where he usually trained. He began to train with the magic that could be controlled.

He had decided to call the magic 'snake shock', because of the snake-like trail of electricity.

'vzzz' 'vzzz'

The electric snake moved from one area to another, while Mark's hand did not stop moving, continuing to change the magic circle. Then when Mark closed his hand, the electric snake seemed as if it was biting something and then generated a small electrical explosion and disappeared.

"That's fine and all, but I can't concentrate on anything else while I'm using this magic." -Staring wearily at the sky, Mark tried to think of solutions.

The magic itself was workable, but it required all his concentration if he wanted to control it as he wished. The main problem was that he had to constantly change the magic circle without damaging it and at the same time he had to look at the enemy to figure out which direction to send the magic.

"It would all be simpler if I had a joystick, I could just move a finger to decide a direction..."

Dwelling on that thought, an idea formed in his head, and opening his eyes enlightened he wondered why he hadn't thought of something similar before, but first, he had to do a test.

Creating a magic circle, he channeled his finger with Falna and moved it over the various symbols present, noticing how they seemed to react.

"Why didn't I think of that right away, I don't need to create just one magic circle and constantly change the direction, I'd just need to fuse two of them so that one specializes in movement and the other in actual magic."

Quickly rising to his feet, he began to head towards the Loki Familia. Although he realized it was possible he did not have enough knowledge to make such a magic circle, so he wanted to return to his room and review the various books Riveria had given him.

Arriving at the base he wasted no time with anything or anyone, locking himself directly in his room and taking all the books he considered necessary and placing them on his desk.

'Guide, give me all the information you have on magic circles, even the simplest.'

[Affirmative.]

Various pieces of information flooded Mark's head and he began sifting through the ones that seemed most useful to him. He wrote down various notes as he read the information from the books and those in his mind, never letting his pen stop on the paper.

Mark was obstinate that he would be able to realize the magic circle and when he was in that state, nothing could stop him. The only breaks he took were to eat and go to the bathroom and even in those moments, his head would not stop thinking.

Two days passed and Mark's room, which was always tidy, seemed to have fallen victim to a tornado with various pieces of crumpled paper on the floor and piles of books scattered everywhere, but on his desk, Mark kept a sheet of paper containing a sophisticated magic circle.

"This should do."

With bloodshot eyes and dark circles that would have mistaken him for a panda, he created a magic circle in front of his hand. It was different from the ones he usually created, it was larger than usual and in addition to possessing an outer circle, it possessed a much more complicated inner one with an empty area.

A small electric snake came out of the circle, as he had adjusted the power so as not to cause damage and as he moved his finger over the empty area of the magic circle, the electricity seemed to perform the same movements without any problems.

'thud'

"HAHAHA!"

Exhausted, he fell to the ground, but the laughter full of elation wouldn't stop, after all, it was when you managed to overcome the obstacle that made you wonder if it was even possible, to make the experience more satisfying.
