12. Save me!

  "Wifey!!! She is in danger, she is calling out for help I can feel she is in pain....!!!" I shouted from the bathroom as her cry echoed in my ears.

I immediately dashed out rushing towards my closet to pick wears.

  "Hubby, Avia is in danger again? Can I come with you?" wifey said from the balcony walking towards me.

"You might need my help" she added.

I turned in the opposite direction with a smirk 'Here we go again, cooking up words?!' I murmured

"No wifey! Just stay home and look after my boy, oo...kay!!" My tooth grinned on stressing okay, how will she follow me? she sure knows how to request.

Her eyes blinked at me "Ok! I will stay here but ensure she's safe!" She surrendered raising her hands which made me giggle.

I stormed out without a response and disappeared from the castle and then, reappeared in the first place I found her lifeless.

"I can't feel her here!" I wondered around then I closed my eyes trying to find her location through my inner connection.

The event of what is happening to Avia showed in my memory. I saw her going towards the northern lake which was very far from the woods and Vampires dominate more in the area.

I opened my eyes and swallowed, "I don't care how far you are. Right now, To me, your life is important since you bear my mark, I have borne your burdens. You're now my responsibility, To me, you're my most important!

My motive changed when we took her home, the state I met her family didn't give me the audacity to ask for her adoption, she seemed to be cared for by her family. With this, I told Lima to give up on her, and fortunately, we have our child the preceding year.

Ever since I've been protecting her and ensured that I'm connected to her but how come she was attacked?

This time I must know who is behind her misery! I reappeared in the nearby forest not far from the northern lake.

"I can feel your presence Avia, where are you!?" I'm so tensed calling out her name.

After few steps, I heard voices, "She would have been dead by now" one of them said,

"Slow death is suitable for her than a quick one. We are already at the lake then it's all done! Finally, Master has seen to her end"

"No one can save her now let alone fulfill the mission." They all discussed while I hid behind a tree watching them.

I stared at them, they were seven in number, four were carrying a coffin-like box on their shoulders while the other three happened to safeguard them.

I moved closer and cast spell on them to make them motionless but they shielded it.

Wow! they aren't humans? They dropped down the coffin-like box and started walking towards me. Immediately, I threw 'Xichimia power' (To cover with snow) at them and they all froze.

I ran to the box in panic, broke the lock to open, my heart aches to see Avia lifeless in the box.

Why are they hunting her? What could she have done to deserve death?

I removed her and made her lay beside a tree. She was tied with a chain on her legs and hands, traces of dried tears running to her ears with her face bruised and blood all over her. I quickly cut the chains.

I checked her pulse, she was still breathing. My tensed body was relieved.

"Avia!!"

"Avia!!!"

I called out patting her cheeks vigorously but no response.

"Wake up please, Avia wake up" My voice trembled.

Then I moved my lips closer to her nostrils and blew intense air into her, bluish air entered her nostrils. I stared at her blankly inhaling. I'm so nervous.

What if she did not wake up? She is just human Loite! I shook off my head vigorously from my awful thoughts.

Suddenly, a stream of tears runs from her eyes down to her lips. She made me feel helpless watching her. Suddenly, my eyes started changing fiercely because I can feel her pain.

But luckily for me, Avia sneezed out.

  "Avia! You're awake!" My heart was filled with joy that I couldn't help but hug her tight.

  "You're saved now" I whispered with smiles still hugging her.

Avia gazed at me helplessly when I released her.

  "I'm here now! No one will ever touch you again, I assure you" I said faintly cleaning up her teary face. She looks so weak only her opened eyes and breathing will make one know she is alive as her response was nothing but like a dead man.

  "Stay here and don't move, I will deal with those bitches for you," I said and turned to the monsters.

The ice has covered them up and I felt the urge to torment them a little, I wanted to take them down to my jail for suitable punishment but what will I say to my pack if they restraint me.

Still, I wanted them to feel the pain they caused this little girl, My eyes turned bluish and anger filled my soul.

With my eyes; I freed one of them, lifted him in the air, and started squeezing his neck, I was about to pierce through his heart when a heavy breeze blew lifting different particles.

In some seconds, I couldn't see through as I closed my eyes, by the time I opened, I saw a strange creature with wings flew up with Avia Avia is gone.

I staggered in surprise, and in a hurry I crashed those monsters, pulled out my wings, and flew along, chasing them.

"Avia!!!" I shouted with bitterness, No! I can't give up on you Avia.

Who can this creature be? I flew faster to meet them and performed bilyaval power (freezing power) on it but the creature has shielded itself which rendered me helpless because if I should use my 'Xichimia power' on it, I'm so afraid this will hurt Avia as well.

I pondered on how I could save her from the creature, my face lightened up as I was about to grab its tail but suddenly the creature turned to me and released flames from its mouth which affected my vision, I lost balance because my left wing caught fire.

I flapped it continues to maintain my balance as I don't care about the fire but it was no ordinary flame, it also blurred my vision. I lost to the creature because before I could balance myself and see it, the creature has escaped with Avia.

  "Avia!!!" I cried out bitterly

This time, I couldn't save her!!

  "Save me!" I heard her cry in my ears.
