AVIA
With the little time I spent with them I wished to stay with them forever, They worth living with and I love them so deeply.
I was so scared I won't be able to walk again but in two months my legs were back in action. The legs ran in speed to an unknown place without considering my feelings.
But I have to go back to my family, my father, The last time, he cried like a baby when he saw me, held and hugged me.
Now that I'm missing, I wonder what he would have turned into.
"I missed him!"
The sound of the door startled me as I was occupied with my thoughts.
Then I gazed at the door with smiles knowing who was coming to play with me but my smiley face dried and my eyes widened seeing what appeared in front of me. The old people are transforming before my eyes?!
As they walked nearer their faces slowly changed from old to young faces.
I rubbed my eyes continuously with my palm, thinking I was hallucinating, my body starts to feel hot as everywhere was heated all of a sudden.
'This can't be the truth! It's not possible!'
'I couldn't believe my eyes, how can this be possible?'
They approached me with a smiley face, But this time I feel so scared to return their smile.
"Calm down! We will explain everything to you." They both said simultaneously.
All I could do is nod as my mouth stifled.
"We are not humans like you, we are Werewolves. My husband is the Lord in our world, Lord Loite and I am his Lordess." Lima said.
"We kept you here to protect you from other creatures from harming you as humans are forbidden in our world." She explained further.
Could this be a movie?! even though I did behave like a demon doesn't mean I believe they exist in real life.
"Werewolves never existed in real life, So, what are you muttering?" My voice trembled
"Do you want me to prove that we exist?" Loite replied as I stared into his eyes, my heartbeat skipped.
Their voices were so warm and tender, they are very good at consoling, but I can't believe such a creature exists as a being, not just exist but with compassion, kindness and sympathy.
"No!!! Pls, don't!!" I muttered fearfully.
"Why did you disguise as old people?" I asked nervously.
"To make you less frightened because you just woke up. Seeing young people around you might ignite fear in you" Lima said with a smile.
Do these people sure know how to smile at this fearful situation? Even though people referred to monster, demon, or beast to evil-like act just like me.
But these beasts truly exist with the heart of compassion, humans, and tolerance far from my kind?
No, maybe the beast in them is not yet out just like the demon in me, I can't stay here!
"Please, it is for your sake, we are trying to help you. We saved you, we can't harm you. Trust us!" Lima explained with concern on her face.
I moved my gaze to Loite, even though, his so-called Lordess did the talking, I couldn't figure out how such a deadly creature could have saved me.
"Ok! Fine!!!" I said firmly.
"Please take me home to my Dad!" I burst out with a heavy cry.
******
Joy eloped with my heart on reaching my apartments, that I flew to press the doorbell.
I jiggled at the entrance while Loite and his wife stared calmed at me, I can't wait to see them! Yet my heart kept hammering like a pestle.
"Avia!!!" Eliza called out as soon as she opened the door, surprise-filled her face, "You're alive?!" her eyes traveled all over me.
I nodded with a smile, "I'm alive!" I uttered with a low tone as she hugged me "Goodness you are here" She said and freed me from her embrace then she sighted Loite and Lima standing behind me, she seems to not notice them because she looked startled.
"Come in! Come in!!" she gestured and open the door wider, we all entered.
I looked through the living room expecting to see Dad, I wondered how happy he will be once he sees me.
"Oh! he's in the room" she said.
She might have noticed by eagerness. She turned to Loite and Lima, "Have a seat" her hands pointed to the couch.
"Em! Mom! This is Mr. Loite and his wife, they brought me here" I said.
How will I explain to her? I never made a plan in my head. Then, Mr. Loite cleared his throat.
"Mrs. Jackson," he said and paused, "You have an adorable daughter" he whispered and stared at me.
Omg! Is this what he will say? Will he confess I was found lifeless in the woods?
"We popped on your daughter by accident when I and my wife was on a journey, she passed out immediately but fortunately she was alive, though she was unconscious for few months" He paused and took a long breath while he gazed at the floor
Surely, they can act like humans! I wanted to smile as a pleasant breeze of relief runs down to the core of my heart but I held it. I believe they will never want to reveal their identity too, so I'm secured.
He raised his head and looked into Eliza's eyes, "This was the reason we could not trace her family which left us no choice but to wait till she recovers" He explained.
"We are sorry ma'am, this was why it took a long time to bring her back" Lima chipped in.
Eliza kept calm as the room was in silence, she seemed to be short of words as she only exhaled, I looked carefully at her; Her face harbors different feelings maybe sadness, bitterness, distress, or pains. She has slight dark circles as if she has been crying or in short of sleep.
She stood up and made a slight bow to them then walked towards the room direction.
I guess she went to call for dad, I wonder how happy he will be if he sees me but why will he be in his room when he had to go to work? Then, Eliza entered with a tray of juice... Omg! I thought otherwise.
"Did you say he is in his room" I blurted out...
"Y...e..s..." her voice crawled.
Why did she look so bitter and unlively compare to the woman I left behind? I smiled at Loite and his wife then bowed to them before taking an urge to run to Dad's room.
I've been dying to see him, that damned juice isn't what I wanted. I knocked on the door but no one answered. Has he changed the room?
I knocked again "I want to see her! bring her here" His weakened voice echoed from the other end.
Is he referring to me? Why is his voice so sad? I cleared my throat "Dad!" I called out but no response.
"Dad! am here!" I said again struggling with the door handle to make it open but
my effort was helpless.
"Avia is here, Dad! open the door!" I said with heavy bangs on the door.
"Gosh!!!" I puffed with a blank face at the door.
"He won't open, he is asleep!" Eliza said from behind, I guess she couldn't resist my outcry.
"I heard his voice, help me call him," I said.
"Avia, now that you're back everything will be alright!" She said and hugged me.
His door opened and we both looked in his direction, "Dad!" I jumped into his embrace and gazed at him, the look in his eyes, I couldn't figure out.
"I'm here!" I screamed
"Avia? Is this you?" he hugged tighter.
My nostrils filled with stinky smells. Has father locked up himself for days? I tried pushing him inside but he defended and closed the door from behind...
He smells so bad, his face looks more old and pale like he is very sick. "Mom! What happened the whole time?" I asked facing mom, she only stared away with no response.
"Omg! The guests!" She said and ran off. It was obvious, she avoided my question.
My inquisitive mind could not restrain as I turned to Dad. "What happened the whole time?"
He stood still staring at me.
"It's my first work and you know creation is hard, do cheer me up! VOTE for me!"
