Regrets

~~~~~ Downtown Apartment ~~~~~ 3 am.

Sophia groaned from the mosquitoes biting her body, her hands ran down her body in an attempt to get rid of the mosquitoes. After countless trials of getting rid of the mosquitoes, she sat up from the bed in anger and frustration. Her eyes drifted to Jade sleeping and snoring peacefully and her lips curved up in disgust, she rolled her eyes at him. He was the reason she was here in a downtown dump, if he hadn't been so angry and talked as he liked to his father then they would not have been in the situation.

She climbed down the cranky bed, and barefooted she walked towards the window to stare out with mosquitoes still biting her body. She had no clothes to change into, she had only two clothes and they were both dirty leaving her only in her bra and panties. The stupid hotel they paid to stay in that was called an apartment had no blankets to offer except the dirty towels in the bathroom, if only Jade hadn't been so angry to nag at his father or disown him too. They would have been living a better life now, not a miserable one.

Her mind flashback to what happened after they left the Jade mansion three days ago, FLASHBACK;

After they had left the mansion, Jade had taken her to his apartment in the center of the city. "We will stay here Sophia, we don't have to rely on anyone. We have a roof over our heads and that is enough for both of us for now, there is also food in the kitchen enough to last us a week at most. Am sure dad will call me back home soon." Jade muttered showing the angry Sophia around his apartment.

"I don't care about this Jade, did you have to talk to your father in that manner? What if he retaliates and never accepts you as his son again, or he gives all his property to the trust? What will you do to them? Tell me?" Sophia questioned with an angry expression, she was fuming at Jade. "It won't happen, Sophia, dad would never do that. He is softhearted, he won't be able to leave his only son stranded for long. Even if he does mom is they to convince him for me, mom loves me quite a lot too." Jade mumbled with confidence, he sat on the couch pulling Sophia's hand to sit with him.

"Jade this isn't about jokes, I saw the expression on your dad's face and am sure he won't forgive you that easily. Why don't you go back home and apologize to him? No father will act tough when the son apologizes." Sophia continued convincing Jade, she didn't feel happy about what was happening. She loved him because of his property and money, if his father was to take away all those from him then nothing would be left for her. All her efforts would be in vein

"Sophia, I won't go back and apologize to dad. He has to apologize to me first, don't worry much mom will be able to convince him for us. We just have to sit back and have enough of the luxury for now. Am sure he will come running to me." Jade remarked with utter confidence, he didn't want to look like a weak man in front of the woman he loved. He only wished and prayed in his heart for his father to accept him back. "If you say so then I will believe you, I trust you so much and I know you will never lie to me," Sophia mumbled with a smile not to seem too pressuring to him.

"Am hungry, let me see if there's anything for consumption in the kitchen," Sophia muttered standing up on her feet and walking into the kitchen, Jade simply nodded his head. After Sophia left Jade's phone rang showing an incoming call from mom but he refused to pick up, after a while, a nod echoed at his door. Standing up he wondered who was at the door, his eyes lit up when he thought his father had come to realize his mistake and wants to ask him for forgiveness. He happily pushed the door open without checking the door cam.

The moment he swung the door open he muttered "dad, are you here? I forgive you you don't have to worry, I know you were just consumed with anger." Before raising his eyes to see the manager of the building and some guards standing with him. The manager coughed in embarrassment clearing his throat, "Sir am afraid to tell you, am not your dad. And I think he isn't forgiving you anytime soon, he has asked us to tell you out of the building without any of your belongings. " the manager explained in embarrassment. "What? How dare you say that to me? Dad would never do that to me... "

Jade mumbled in frustration, from the kitchen Sophia ran out with a bowl of cereal and a spoon in her hand. "What is happening here, Jade?" Sophia questioned with a full mouth. "Ma'am you have been asked to leave the building as soon as possible." The manager answered when Jade refused to talk. "You can't tell us out of here, do you know who we are? No, you can't do that." Sophia and Jade both argued but their talk all fell on deaf ears, the bodyguards were instructed to take them out.

Her stomach growled in hunger, she had contacted all her friends to help her but only Betty had sent her a little money which they used in renting them a hotel. She glared at Jade who was snoring like an elephant, he was the reason for her misery if only he wasn't I'll let with so much pride. Her family too won't accept her, they were both left stranded and he couldn't even work to earn money for their living. He was like a child that needed pampering from his parents.
