Chapter 55 – Run for it!

Next Day.

[You have lost too much EXP. Your level had decreased: 200 -> 199]

After the temporary ban was lifted, the entire party meet up in the swamp.

"Okay. Everybody is here." – said ClownFrog.

"Yea. God fuking dammed. Why they made hour ban after dying a thing? And for hours as well?!" – said annoyed Shri.

"Well, maybe they wanted people try to survive? Make them feel situation bit more realistic or something? Well, it would be pretty much annoying if you kill somebody and they just came running straight at you. There could be multiple reason for that." – said Oron.

"Tch. Yea, you probably right. Anyway, ClownFrog. You said yesterday that maybe the reason why the that boss was so strong was because we killed the trash mob running around and if we were not to kill any, she be at least beatable?" – said Shri.

"That is theory. The only thing I found out of place was the monster being very freaking weak, to the point where monsters with level 160 were harder to beat." – said ClownFrog.

"The theory is that if we kill none of these monsters, the boss monster would end up being much weaker compare to the before."

"So, to confirm this theory we have to run past all the monsters without killing any of them or fighting back. Just run straight to the boss room ASAP."

"Well, this is worth testing out, since we don't know what kind of gimmick the boss has yet. Even if it doesn't work, we would at least confirm that the monsters aren't related to the boss monster strength. But before we go, we should try to regain the level we lost." – said GreyHunt.

[When the player loses the level, the player in questions loses +1 to all stats, but does not loses skill points or stat points he or she gained from the level. However, the player won't gain the skill points from regaining their level.]

[Example]

[Player Level 2 loses 1 level and became level 1 – Lose 1 to all stats.]

[Level 1 player regain his/her lost level – Regain +1 to all stats but no stat points or skill points gain.]

"Yea. As soon as we recover the lost level, we are going back into those ruins. We don't even know if my theory is correct or wrong and even if my guess is correct, we don't know many times we will end up dying." – said ClownFrog.

"We don't know how strong the boss would be after we guess her gimmick. We guess correctly but we die in the end. Even though Rampage has only 10 days left to finish the quest, that doesn't mean we should take things easy."

"I agree as well. There is also a good chance like we discussed before that 5 of us won't be enough and we would have no choice but to seek some other people to join us." – said GreyHunt.

"But if we were to do that, we would have to split the rewards with more people and there is also a matter of trust. What if the people we recruit would back stab us in order to steal the boss? We are talking here about "Unique Boss" that nobody even knew that existed in the first place." – said Oron.

"Well…. Actually, I have a friend. I can ask her if she would like to help out." – said Rampage.

"?"

"You do? Then why you didn't call her over when you were struggling with the quest?" – asked Shri.

"Well, unlike me, she enjoys making items. She only have one combat class and two production classes." – said Rampage.

"Does she have any rare or special classes that make her very strong or something?" – asked Oron.

"Nope."

"Then don't invite her. If she were to come, she would become easy target for the boss." – said ClownFrog.

"Yea, he is right. We cannot bring somebody that is too weak or it will just decrees the chance of winning because of that stupid auto activation skill that activates when she kills somebody." – said GreyHunt.

"Well, finding somebody that is trust worth as well as powerfully won't be easy if not impossible. I guess we have to make it somehow work with only us."

"Yea. By the look of things, we do." – said ClownFrog.

"Anyway, let's go hunting already."

After that short meeting, we began hunting monsters in order to regain our level 200 before attempting again fighting the Forgotten Bride.

After regaining our level, we headed straight to the ruins.

"Okay. Let's go over the plan again." – said ClownFrog.

"We are running straight to the boss room, ignore everything else and just head straight. Don't attack or fight any monsters, just run. Even if you were to get hit or badly injured, just take it and continue running."

"The undeads that I will be brining are ghouls, blood dead and the blood hounds. I won't be brining any slow undeads."

"By the way, don't worry about me. I recently realized how slow I'm, so I've put a lot of points into stamina and agility, so I won't be left behind."

"Any question?"

Oron raised his hand.

"Since you are not brining any tank undeads, does that mean that we will have only to relay on the Rampage and the Shri ants to take the hits?" – asked Oron.

"Nope. My book is filled with my strongest undeads, as well as the tanky undeads. I also can summon skeleton servants to take some hits as well." – replied ClownFrog.

"Oh. Then its all good." – said Oron.

"Any more questions?"

"…"

"Then I guess no."

"Well then, get ready. As soon as we open this door and enter the ruins, we run as fast as possible."

"3."

"2."

"1."

"GO!"

The party opened the door and rushed straight into the ruins.

(Running past the weak monsters without fighting them may seem easy.)

(But there is kind of ginormous problem.)

(THE ENTIRE DUNGEON IS FILLED TO THE BRIM WITH THESE FUCKER!)

As soon as the party entered the ruins, they ended up spotting a group of the unloved guards right in front of them.

"Ghouls and blood dead! Climb on the walls and the ceilings! Blood hounds! Don't engage in the fight no matter what! Just run behind Shri or GreyHunt!" – shouted ClownFrog, giving commands to his undeads.

The undeads fallowed the ClownFrog command and the ghouls as well as blood dead used their claws in order to crawl on the surface of the ceiling and walls, effectively getting out of the monster attack range.

However, the party still had to run past the group of unloved guards.

One of the undead monsters tried stabbing Shir with its spear, but she just jumped over the attack and then used the undead monster head to jump again.

GreyHunt and Oron easily manage to slip by as well without getting hit and as for the Rampage didn't bothered dodging at all and just continue running even when being attacked.

"I don't fuking need to block these pathetic attacks!" – said Rampage.

One of the undead tried attacking the ClownFrog, but-

"[Burning Ribcage]!"

ClownFrog used his defensive skill to block the attack of the monster and just continue running.

The party managed to run past the group of the undead monster successfully, but soon after they ended up running into another group and then another and then another.

[[Burning Ribcage] has ended.]

"Crap." – said ClownFrog.

"Oh. And that is shitty timing as well."

As soon as the effect of the burning ribcage ended, the group ended up encountering a massive horde of the undead monsters.

"Shit! How shitty is our luck to run into the horde already?!" – said Shri.

"You can complain later! Just try whatever you can to get past them!" – said ClownFrog.

"Rampage!"

"On it!"

"[Warrior Spirit] [Boar Spirit] [Walking Shield]!"

Rampage run straight into the horde of the undeads, literally running straight through them while taking the monster hits, however none of the attacks were bothering her at all.

While running straight through the horde of the undeads, the entire party followed right behind the path she made. However, the party members were still taking damage from the undead monsters that surrounded them.

After bit of struggling, the party managed to escape the horde of the monster.

"Damn! That was dumb idea!" – said GreyHunt while taking out a potion.

"Well, what other choice do we have?! If we make detour or something then we maybe provoke even more of these fuckers too early on!" – said ClownFrog.

"Well, they are kind of chasing us now!" – said Oron while looking behind him.

"Ignore them! We need to get to the boss before too many of them gather and completely block our path!" – said ClownFrog.

(Right now, it's race against time. Since we can't kill them, their number will continue to increase and if too many appear, then the only way forward is to kill and we don't want that!)

The party continue running through the ruins, trying to head straight to the boss room without taking any detours.

Because of how many monsters were in the dungeon, the party continue taking damage over and over.

Even though the monsters themselves were very weak, it doesn't mean when the literally horde of them is attack them nonstop!

"!"

"I see the door!" – shouted Shri after spotting the boss room door.

"And we have a fuking population of these fuckers right behind us!" – shouted GreyHunt.

Behind the party, almost all of the unloved guards were chasing them, literally flooding the entire corridor to the point it looked like a wall of rotting flesh was chasing them.

"Jezus! I never knew there was so many of these fuckers! But holy shit! What kind of bullshit is this?! Could we even possible win against them now?!" – said Rampage.

"Stop talking and just run! We are almost there!" – said ClownFrog.

While the party was chased by the wall of the unloved guards, they were slowly getting closer and closer to the door, until the GreyHunt and Shri who were the fastest in the party, manage to get to the door and instantly opened it.

"Get in!" – shouted Shri.

The rest of the party soon entered the boss room along side the ClownFrog undead before Shri and GreyHunt closed the door right before the unloved guards got near them.

As soon as the two closed the door, a sound of the unloved guards crushing right into the door could be heard over and over again before finally stopping after 15 seconds.

"…"

"Holy fuking shit. That was way too close." – said Shri.

"Yea… I almost shit my pants." – said GreyHunt.

"Sorry to cut your chit chat right now after what just happened, but I don't think she will wait." – said Oron.

On the other side of the room, the giant bride monsters was looking straight at the party.

[Forgotten Bride – Level 200] – [Unique Boss]

"Get ready!" – shouted ClownFrog.
