After the encounter with the boss, I hunted bit more and secured good number of materials to the point I shouldn't have worry about coming back here.
But first… Bath…. I really smell like shit.
After I took a bath that ended up… taking some time to remove this stench… Anyway, after I was FINLAY fuking clean, I went back to my base and began experimenting once again.
The materials from the rat monster are the very first uncommon materials I got, but here is a problem…. How the fuck do I use them?
I mean, I can create a poison using them and maybe a plague, but I don't have enough to supply the plague… So, yea…
So pretty much I maybe have to think of other way of using those materials.
The rat giant claws are quite useful. They are indeed quiet sharp and powerful and maybe I can use them to create a better version of my current claw weapons.
But as for the other materials, what should I do with them?
The meat will definitely not something I can use to make armor or anything…. AND DEFINITLY NOT A FOOD.
The fur…. Hm… Maybe I can make it into the armor? It says that it has some resistance against blunt attacks…. But won't I smell like that rat in the process?
There is also tail…. What the hell I can use it for?
Should I just turn it in to the guards and get some money?
Nah. They would probably ask some questions…. Well, I could play ignorant, so maybe I should been safe, but maybe it can be somehow used…. I think? I mean its uncommon rarity, so maybe it's not trash?
…
Maybe?
…
Yea… Let's maybe put this for side now.
The one of the most important materials I got was definitely the poison organ.
I already saw the potentials and the power of the regular rat poison organ, but this one is way more potent. I also saw it fuking vomit it to the point it was dealing acid damage to the stone wall and was even damaging it. A freaking stones.
This thing… Is probably extremely dangerous.
But how do I use it?
Can I only make something like limited time use poison?
Hm….
Fuck me.
If only I had more of this stuff, I could have probably created a very nasty plague.
But for now, let's put it on the side and focus on the main task.
Plague creation.
I have data regarding the rats' materials.
I have now better understanding of alchemy.
I now know basic of the plague crafting and some more.
I know how to have the alchemy and plague making work together.
I have workshop and all necessary tools.
I made sure I have enough materials, not only rat materials but also other materials.
I'm ready.
With the research data I have as well as the rat materials, I should be able to create a poison that I'm aiming for.
Well, several poisons. Try to make some different if possible.
AND I need to make few more of that numbing poison and try and make it better or mix it with the rat materials.
So, I got to the work.
I made many different poisons.
Some of them were just made with single material while other were combined.
I mixed potion and the raw materials together, getting new results and slowly approaching my goal.
After mixing, changing, adjusting rations and other stuff.
I managed to make a 3 extremely potent poisons.
[Sewer Rat Deadly Poison]
[Rarity: Uncommon]
[An extremely dangerous poison that was made using sewer rat corpse.]
[Effect: Apply poison – Deal 30 damage every second for 5 seconds.]
[Sewer Rat Disease Poison.]
[Rarity: Uncommon]
[A deadly and unhealthy poison that possess the sewer rat specialty.]
[Effect: Apply poison – Deal 5 damage every second for 1 minute.]
[Annoying Numbing Poison]
[Rarity: Uncommon]
[A deadly poison that numbs one nerves and muscles.]
[Effect: Reduce SP by 3 for every second for the duration of 20.]
"Hm… This is the best things I could get."
(I reached the limit of the improved I made as well.)
(Players have a 10 HP for each point of health stat.)
(The players starts with 11 points, meaning 110 HP.)
(At level 20, they gain bonus 19 points, meaning 190 HP. Combine it with 110 and you get 300.)
(The disease poison deals 5 damage every one second for 1 minute, meaning 60 seconds, so the poison with long duration can deal total of 300 damage.)
(The disease poison may able to kill a player in theory… But they would recover some HP over time as well and they would probably put some points into health stat, so yea… No way it can kill them and they can easily survive it.)
"Well, I still DID made those rats poison reach its max poetical, but will be that enough?
"The one with high damage output can deal 150 damage in total."
"The numbing poison got better, it now makes the target lose 60 SP in total. The previous one had instant effect, but instead did 30. I mixed the sewer rat fur into the mix and it seemed to be the correct choice."
"But… It's not enough. It's nowhere near enough to be consider a real threat."
"So…. Yea…"
(The poison I produced both take time and uses a lot of stuff to make, but this is the best I could make.)
(I thought I would at least produce something like rare rarity poison or something.)
(…)
(Well, maybe I would have, if I used giant rat materials, but I don't have huge supplies of it.)
"But will be this enough?"
(I can modify the plague to make it longer and spread more easily, but it will make the effect much weaker.)
(That's why I made two different poisons.)
(One with long duration.)
(And the one with deadly power.)
(The numbing poison was supposed to be cheery on top, but I was unable to make it any stronger.)
(I guess I will have to give up on it and instead focus on the poison alone.)
[Plague Creation – Start]
"Well, let's see what we can make."
I began experimenting using the poisons I made, trying to make the best plague I can do with my current abilities.
In the end, this was the best thing I made after different tries.
[Sewer Rat Plague]
[Starting Form: Smoke]
[Effect: Deal 5 poison damage every second for the duration of 240 seconds.]
[Properties: Infection – Corpse (Weak) – Spread infection from the corpse that were infected. / Infection - Air (Weak) – Can cause coughing that can infect others.]
[Specia effect: cannot infect the maker.]
"…"
"This is the best plague I could currently make."
(The duration of the plague is 4 minutes, but the damage dealt is 5. I did ended up sacrificing the damage for the duration, but I think it was worth it? Well, there is also the case with the skill level being still low, but somewhat leveling up thanks to leveling up my class, making the changes bit stronger somewhat, but a little bit.)
(I tried making the infection stronger, making the plague spread more easily, but the problem was that it would reduce the effect of either damage output or the plague duration.)
(Well, at least I managed to make 2 infections. They are not that strong, but they can help with the spreading the plague.)
(The one person spreads the plague, infect to others, and then repeat. The first person ended up being cured, but one of the people they injected ended up infecting them.)
"…"
"But will it do?"
"The priest can heal and the they have potions."
"If they made sure to get rid of the bodies and wear masks, they will probably make sure that the plague doesn't spread that fast or people wouldn't get infected."
(This plague is too weak and it's not enough destroy that city.)
(It can cause several damage, if they don't realize it from the start and don't know how the plague is spreading.)
(But once they do know how it spreads, the plague will be not as effective.)
(I could somewhat make the plague stronger, thanks to investing class points into the [Chaos Researcher], but even so, because of the materials I have on my hand, the plague creation is very limited.)
(…)
(Can't I really destroy that city?)
(Spreading…...)
(….)
(Wait.)
(Why I should just spread the plague?)
(If I go around the city, spreading poison I made, I should be able to make them unable to deal with the plague in meantime and have it spread poison around and make them unable to think about dealing with the plague.)
(But then people would realize that the plague was doing of somebody.)
(Even if I wear a mask, people will realize that the guy going on the rampage in the middle of the city is the culprit.)
"…"
"But would that be enough?"
"Going on the rampage from the get go may not be a good idea…. It would have been an….?!"
(Distraction!)
(Wait a bloody second!)
(Can't I just spread some fake informations that it was rats doing?!)
(If I spread a fake info, they will think that the source of the plague are the rats in the sewers and they will try to get rid of the plague by getting rid of the rats. But it will be other way around!)
(I can spread some of the plague underground and make it look like its real deal. The rats do have resistance to the poison damage and resistance, so having being infected will not bother them, but instead make them stronger!)
(On top of that, I may have one interesting piece of fake evidence that may convince them.)
