Chapter 02- Waking Up As A Baby

When Sachiko woke up again, she found herself unable to stand up or speak. As she looked at herself, she saw tiny baby hands.

'What's happening?'

She tried to speak but instead of words, only cries came out.

"Oh my, poor child, are you feeling sick again?"

Sachiko heard a woman's voice and hurried footsteps coming towards her, then she was picked up. Sachiko saw that the woman who picked her up had brown eyes and messy shoulder length dark brown hair and her eyes were puffy and red, probably from crying, there were also huge eyebags under her eyes so she was not having any quality sleep at all from she could see.

"There..there, are you still feeling sick? You were very ill when I've found you out there and honestly, it's a miracle you even survied..Poor child, who abandons their newborn baby? I don't know what's wrong with those people.." The women muttered as she rocked Sachiko in her arms gently.

Then, it hit Sachiko, she remembered how she died, then being in a weird dream of getting three wishes and getting sent to Jujutsu Kaisen world although she had no idea what the storyline was like right now.

But, then again, she could feel a strange boundless energy in her body and somehow, she knew the information about how to control it.

Cursed Energy, Cursed Techniques,....

They were all Jujutsu Kaisen power system related knowledge, she realized.

'Then, was it not a dream?' The thought crossed her mind and no matter how crazy that sounded, she felt like it made sense.

She died, and then sent into Jujutsu Kaisen world as a baby. She probably had two cursed techniques and infinite amount of cursed energy since the self-proclaimed god said that he granted those wishes and she could also feel cursed energy in her body.

That's what she came into conclusion before moving on to thinking about her new life.

According to what she just heard, she was abandoned as a baby and as a result, probably, she had been really sick since then. Her first memories of this life was realizing that she had been turned into a baby so either she had been unconscious since birth or she took over a dead baby's body, which she hoped wasn't the case.

As for being abandoned part, she didn't feel much emotion over it as she practically grew up in an orphange in her last life.

So, Sachiko quickly moved forward to thinking of her next steps. Honestly, there was not much to do, except acting like a baby and daydreaming all day. As for training cursed techniques, she had not manifested either of them yet although she was supppsed to have like two cursed techniques. "Innate techniques are engraved on a sorcerer when they are born and they manifest around the age of five", Sachiko remembered.

'Well, I guess I'll try manipulating cursed energy until I manifest a cursed technique.' Sachiko thought to herself before focusing on her own cursed energy. Although she was in an infant's body now, she still felt endless amount of cursed energy in her body and it made her feel strong.

One of her wishes most likely worked. As for manipulating others' cursed energy and Possibility cursed technique, she just had to wait and find out.

As Sachiko was lost in her own thoughts, the woman carried her to what seemed like a living room. There was another woman sitting on one of the sofas and she looked sad.

"Look, Misaki...I know that you just lost a child but are you sure you're going to register her as your own baby? I know how you might feel right now but...it's.." The other woman told "Misaki" and Sachiko realized what was happening here.

This woman, Misaki, had lost her own baby to something but she found Sachiko abandoned out there and took her to her house, and now she was trying to register the baby as her own biological child, instead of reporting to authorities about an abandoned and sick child and taking necessary actions.

Sachiko wasn't sure how to react to the new found information, surely, she felt that it was a bit unfortunate to just be a replacement for the woman's biological daughter and she felt bad for the woman for her loss, but other than that, she didn't feel anything else.

Although the idea of having a family or a mother again felt strange to her..

"Yuki, just look at her, isn't she the most adorable child? Like I know I shouldn't be saying this but I feel like she is my own daughter.. So why can't I raise her as my own?" Misaki said as she sat down while holding Sachiko in her arms.

"I know, Misaki. I know..she reminds you of Sachiko chan and that you want to raise her but..you have to think about the consequences as well. What if the authorities start investigating about the missing baby and then think you stole the baby?"

"I never sent any information about the baby's death..and the parents abandoned the baby in the bushes near the cemetry. Like who does that to a child they plan to raise?"

"Misaki..."

"No, she doesn't have parents and I don't have a baby anymore. So, why can't we just become mother and daughter? Yuki, please, you're the only person who knows this so just help us out.." Misaki was crying at this point and begging Yuki to keep a secret.

After a few minutes of crying ans begging which Sachiko definitely spaced out and didn't hear, Yuki gave up on persuading Misaki and agreed to keep the death of Misaki's child a secret and register Sachiko her Misaki's biological daughter.

Misaki named her new daughter "Sachiko" as she always planned to name her child and they swore to take the secret to the grave.

Sachiko just felt like she was in a dramatic movie all this time because of the amount of drama happening and her being named Sachiko again was so much of a coincidence that could only happen in movies.

Anyway, she pretended not to realize what was happening and just cried every few hours everyday and several times at night so that she could convince everyone that she was a baby. Not that it was necessary given her appearance, but Sachiko had nothing better to do than crying and staring at the weird looking curses that hang near Misaki. The curses were most probably low grades as they never did anything except hanging around the neighborhood and Misaki but they never appear near Sachiko, which was pretty strange for her.

Sachiko would have liked to blast them away with her cursed energy, not that she had tried doing it because they never come near enough so that she could attack them and it wasn't like she could run and chase them around, given that she was a baby. But, Sachiko felt confident to get rid of those low grades as long as they come close enough.
