No good deed goes unpunished and nothing absolutely nothing in the multiverse is ever completely free. But what choice does Nix have? Surely following Solaris' missions cannot be worse than what he left behind right? Is this just another way for his captors to abuse him more? Can he ever be truly free when he just spent the last 32 thousand years being forced to live one horrific abusive life after the other. Can he even dream of healing when he cannot forget even a single moment, he spent in that hell hole? This story begins at the end of his imprisonment from "hell" and follows his journey to discovering himself, regaining his lost memory and discover who and what was and is behind all this. But can he handle the truth? What happens if he were to learn that he was being punished for crimes against the celestial Dragon Emperor and heaven itself? Could he truly be capable of such a thing and if so, what will he do then? One could definitely say that Nix is an anti-hero, since he is not benevolent but would not stand for injustice happen to the innocent or those, he deems worthy enough to care for and about. Nix is cold, apathetic & keeps everyone & everything at arm's length. Despite his cold, arrogant, apathetic & aloof exterior, Nix surprisingly has a big soft heart for animals & children, as well as all things cute & adorable but he would never admit it. ML: Hey what about me? Nix: What about you? Who are you again anyways? ML: ...? Solaris & Author: eating popcorn & booked peanuts (I know they aren't for everyone, don't come for me) ML: Nix how can you say that? Mrs_TNT do something he's being hateful again for no reason! Why must he always push me away? What did I ever do to him? Author Mrs_TNT: Is that a serious question right now? Well, I guess you'll have to read to find out. This story begins at the end of his first imprisonment and follows Phoenix as he tries to recover his memories from before he was imprisoned and bound to the Jailer System as well as gain power and complete the missions given by Solaris until he can finally be free and exact his revenge before he has his soul annihilated so that he never reincarnates again. I may do flashbacks or even write a prequel after this novel is finished depicting his long, long journey just to get to the beginning of this novel. Be Warned! There will be several triggering topics addressed in this novel, though it is not a dark romance it does touch on abuse: neglect, mental, verbal, physical and sexual. This is a Boy Love, LGBT or gay romance novel that will have explicit scenes. I will not be putting warnings up as I go along. I am working through some of my own trauma through writing this novel, so I understand it is not for everyone. That said this is very loosely based off some of my own experiences and any coincidences between names, places or events is just that a coincidence and have nothing in common unless I state other wise and will credit it if I do as well. Hello dear readers, my name is Mrs_TNT, and I'm author of Phoenix Interrupted. First, I want to take a moment and thank you for selecting my novel amongst the endless other novels out there. This is the very first book I have ever written I was also really inspired by a few authors on WebNovel, The EmpressNing, Byul_Byre, Bree_Airee as well as latteectrie (whom I call Sweet Baker B as she calls her fandom cupcakes) who greatly inspired me to not just write my story but also publish it on here. I took a leap of faith and here we are, so it is my hope that even one person enjoys it recommends it to others.
I started writing this as I wanted a BL story that scratched all the itches I was having. With that being said, here are a few important things about me to keep in mind as you read this book and follow along with me on this journey. I am a native English speaker with some completed college under my belt, however, I have been out of any type of school for over 15 years, and I have not had to write a paper in over 14 years. I am a stay-at-home mom, and I am also disabled with a rare neurological disorder that causes paralysis on my whole right side of my body and cognitive issues. In short, this condition completely mimics a stroke and I do not know when they will hit so I cannot promise to stick to a stick upload schedule though I will do my best. The uploading is for those who are reading this on WebNovel or any other online publishing site. As of right now I only plan to upload to WebNovel but I may change my mind later.
For those of you who are reading a physical copy of this novel just disregard the forementioned uploading schedule.
My ultimate goal was to have the main story completed before I upload it and make it public. In this way I could upload even if I am sick and could also finish uploading it as a completed work if it does not do well. However, if I keep going with my original goal I may never upload or publish it in form other than just writing it all down. I have also been greatly urged and supported by several wonderful supporters on WebNovel. I will be mentioning them above as well as I will tag one fellow reader who has been very supportive and really encouraged me to publish this novel, but that will be in a bit because I want to tag him at just the right time.
Since I am writing this for myself as well as using it to work through some of my own trauma, I do not have high hopes for it being popular as there are thousands of works on WebNovel with more pouring in every day. It is all too easy for this novel to be lost in the rapid current of novels available. Still, I hope that I can do a decent job writing this and that those that do find it, enjoy it.
I started writing this story to work through my anxiety and depression, social anxiety, agoraphobia and my CPTSD. There are parts that are both loosely based on real events in my life or the lives of a few people as well as a lot of creative writing so it will be hard to tell just which parts really happened unless you are one of the people in my life who know what really went down. I have written permission to use their experiences as inspiration as long as I do not disclose who they are, or which parts happened to them. Though I am a heterosexual female the majority or a large portion of my family is LGBT including my mom, siblings and several aunts and uncles, this does not include all their spouses as well or maybe it does.
I chose to write a BL- Boy Love or Gay romance novel because: 1. I am into it, 2. There needs to be more BL in the world, 3. It's easier for me to dissociate myself from what I am writing and that's needed as I am an empath or so they say and the last thing I want or need is to trigger my own CPTSD while writing some of the darker parts of this novel. Please keep in mind that this novel is rated 18+ due to explicit scenes, violence, cursing and a list of other triggers which I will put below and in the synopsis.
This novel is a Quick Transmigration book meaning that the arcs will be short like a short story and are all connected making one big picture. There will be slice of life type arcs, AOB/Omegaverse or Alpha, Omega & Beta (see more information below), fantasy romance arcs, rom-com, pure romance arcs, as well as darker arcs. Basically, there will be a bit of everything in this novel as I have ADD and could not come up with just one main sub-genre as I had so many ideas pertaining to other sub genres that I decided QT was the only way to go since every world will have a different archetype. It is important to remember that this is a work of fiction and I do NOT condone any violence, inappropriate relationships or actions taken in this novel nor are the relationships in this novel an example of what is a healthy balanced relationship.
The Main Character and the Male Lead would both need serious couples counseling along with individual counseling if this were real life, but it is a fictional novel and the fun thing about fantasy is that it is just that fantasy. I will explore some healthy and not healthy relationship aspects along with consensual BDSM and power imbalance relationships.
There will be references to SA- sexual assault including that of minors (I detest those who prey upon children!), child abuse, abusive and controlling relationships, verbal, mental and physical abuse and trauma, child neglect, drugs, alcohol, self-harm, suicide, pregnancy, infant and child loss, kidnapping, torture, manipulation, vulgare and explicit speech, sexual acts, hate speech, homophobia and Intersexphobia or interphobia - characterized by a dismissive attitude and negative feelings towards intersex and intersex people. The phobia manifests itself as contempt, prejudice, hatred or antipathy. There may be something else I am forgetting but I can also update this section if anything changes.
I respect all cultures and though some things maybe based on certain cultural things, none of the events in this novel take place on actual Earth and there is no disrespect meant towards anyone or any culture. Again, I ask that the readers remember this is fantasy and I hope that there is something for everyone though I know not everyone will like every arc and you may not agree with vision.
I would absolutely love to hear from y'all and get your opinions and hear any ideas y'all might have or what y'all would like to read as I know I will have moments where I have writers block. I am working hard to have at least the first full arc done before I upload or allow the first person to read this.
