Chapter 40 Never be the same again

Xia Qingyeu qickly ran toward Naruto and Dongyue.

When she saw that her mother was still there and not flying away. 

She immediately hugged her with all of her might.

"Please don't leave me, Mama!"

Dongyue heard her calling her Mama, she couldn't help crying.

However, she endured it and she didn't say anything. 

She didn't want to promise her something that she couldn't keep.

"I am sorry, Yue'er. But mom has to go to the realm of gods. If mom don't go. You and everyone here will be in danger."

Xia Qingyue shook her head stubbornly. 

She would never let her mother go no matter what.

She was just five years old. Of course she would still need her mother in her life.

Seeing her being stubborn. As a mother she knew how to handle her baby daughter.

She looked at Naruto who was struggling to keep her power from manifesting.

Xia Qingyue felt moved when she saw him do his best for her.

Xia Qingyue let go of her mother and ran toward Naruto to check up on him.

He nodded and pulled his chains away from Dongyue.

Naruto collapsed from exhaustion after that. Xia Qingyue saw him collapse, and immediately called for help.

And he even got seriously injured.

Xia Hongyi called for the doctor and then went toward her daughter and asked her what happened.

When Xia Qingyue told him everything. He sighed. He didn't seem to be surprised about it.

"F–father, don't tell Qingyue that father already knows about it?"

Xia Hongyi saw his daughter's suspicious eyes. He shook his head.

"I have a guess but I didn't think your mother would leave us like this…"

Xia Qingyue closed her eyes. She really didn't know anything about her mother and her father never told her anything about her as well.

"I will go and stay with Na'er Gege."

Xia Hongyi understood that Xia Qingyue might be angry at him because he didn't tell anything about her mother.

"Yes, you should go and check up on him."

That was all Xia Hongyi could say before Xia Qingyue followed the doctor to check up on Naruto.

The doctor after finishing checking up on Naruto. 

He said to Xia Hongyi.
