Sarah checked the scripts one by one. They were all supporting roles in some teen movies, not even the lead roles. She rejected them all. She would rather wait for "Juno" to release and act in some good movies, rather than adding bad movies to her resume.
In the end, just when Sarah placed the last script aside, she caught the sight of one more script below. Calling it script won't be right because they were only few rusty pages. "What is this?"
Alan heard the question and picked up the pages to read a little. He seemed to have thought of something and replied: "Its script of an action movie, but its not a lead role and crew is also not big."
The word action caught Sarah's intrest and she nodded him to continue.
Alan though for a while and replied: "Yes, I remember. It's a joint venture between France and American production companies. Although the lead actor in the movie is Liam Neeson, but the director and crew of the movie is are new. Caa is not paying much attention to it. The script should be here because Liam Neeson is contracted with Caa, so the production company must have sent the scripts for other cast to Caa too."
CAA has the policy of full packaging on a model of 1+1+1. It works on the model of providing all crew from actors, producers, to screenwriters and director. You just need to have money, and everything else can be left to Caa. This model has both advantages and disadvantages. But Caa stands at the top of Hollywood because of this packaging policy, so it means that advantages still overweight the disadvantages.
Sarah nodded: "What's the name of the movie?"
"Taken."
Hearing her agent's words, Sarah was stunned. Is this the same Taken she's thinking about? The actor is also Liam Neeson. She never watched "Taken" in her previous life, but she still remember that this movie had many sequels. And if a movie has sequels then it can only means one thing, its previous parts were successful.
She hurriedly took the script from Alan's hand and started reading it. The role is of Liam Neeson's daughter who was kidnapped. Although its not the lead, but its still the second most important character in the movie, even more than the villain. The whole story revolves around the daughter.
Alan saw his client reading the script so attentively, he asked: "What, do you like the script?"
Sarah finished reading the script and looked up. "Tell me, can you help me get this role?"
Alan was surprised. His joking expressions from before returned to serious ones. He didn't expect that she didn't like any of the roles which he found with so many efforts, and took a liking to the most unimportant one in the bunch. He looked at Sarah's expressions to observe if she was joking, but he couldn't find anything. "Are you serious?"
Sarah replied: "Yes, I am."
Alan agreed: "Okay, then I will do my best to help you arrange for an audition." He should also read the script carefully, maybe there really might be something special about it.
....
Sarah grithed her teeth and walked toward the elevator step by step. After moving here, she had to do all the grocery for the house again. However, she seemed to have overly shopped and now couldn't even lift the bags properly.
At this time, a tall man wearing sports vest and a towel on his shoulders came: "Hi, do you need help?"
Sarah looked up and couldn't help but be distracted for a moment. The man in front of her looked very handsome. It's not like she had never come in contact with handsome guys, even Chris is very handsome, masculine, blonde, blue-eyed and kind of cute.
But the man in front of her was different. He looks like a tough guy, but he has a smile all over his face and a ruffian temperament excudes from all over him. Strangely the combination of three different attributes doesn't feel mismatch,.but looks kind of perfect, as it should have been like this.
"Thank you, I just moved in and accidentally bought too many things."
The man bent down and lifted a large plastic bag, and the muscles in his arms swelled. At the same time, he did not forget to joke: "Wow, this is really not light. . How did you move them here?"
He thoughtfully chose the bag filled with fruits, vegetables and condiments.
Sarah lifted the bag in her hand with both hands and walked toward the elevator, "just like an ant, constantly moving forward."
"I am Barely Cooper, an actor, you can call me Brad. Are you new in LA?"
"Hello, Brad, its nice to meet you. Yes, I am new." Sarah helped by picking up the lighter things.
The man named Brad helped her carry the things to her apartment. She invited him for lunch but he refused saying that he had something to do.
Bradley refused his new apartment neighbor's invitation for dinner. She was a very beautiful girl almost like a fairy, but that's also the reason why he refused.
There were already enough problems going on between him and his wife, Jennifer Esposito, and he doesn't want to give her a new reason to quarrel again. So, he had to regretfully refuse despite feeling hungry. He should go back to eat something from outside.
