Hearing the phone call, like reality had slapped him, Declan stood stunned. While Rylee looked worriedly at him.
Panicked, Declan didn't know what he should do? He couldn't even meet Rylee's eyes.
"It's duty call, right?" Rylee asked while smiling. Smile, which didn't get to her eyes, yet looked proper like she was not worried.
Yet it made Declan's heartache, but still, he nodded as he knew this was the only answer he could give.
"What did they say?" Again, Rylee asked.
"They called me back for an urgent mission, and after the mission, my schedule would go back like before," Declan mumbled as he took Rylee's hand.
