Caught A Virgin

"Do you think he will just sit still after finding these?"

Matthew furrowed an eyebrow while waiting for Knox to reply. He pinched his nose and was already lost for words. He didn't know what to say anymore because if the old man found out that the young master was busy shooting his nose to the things he shouldn't be holding, it would surely make the chairman's blood pressure high, and he might come directly here in the house.

"Then, let him be." Knox calmly said. He leaned his back and adjusted his glasses. Still with eyes on the folders they all gathered. Some photos and information were already scattered on the wide table.

It wasn't that hard to read, especially from Neal's eyes. He came in and surprised the men.

"Good morning," Knox greeted him with a smile on his face.

Neal rolled his eyes to him and then took a seat. He chose the solo sofa and then his face turned serious. "Are you guys already investigating about rogans?" he asked.

Matthew nodded at him. "As you can see, we are trying to connect the dots," he said. "We already have intels that helped us in many ways. Even though the Vespion agency wouldn't know that we already got it in our hands." he added.

Neal was amused. His face turned serious and checked the folders one by one. "Don't leave me out. I came here because of this." he said.

Knox sighed. "Isn't it too early for you to make a move? You should at least enjoy your free time right now." He suggested.

That suggestion immediately went to trash when Neal replied. "I don't need it. I came here with you because we have an agreement that you guys are going to help me with rogans. There's nothing else I want to do but put my hands here." he explained.

Matthew could feel how dedicated the vampire was. Well, who wouldn't? After seeing your brother get killed by rogans, even him would think the same.

Knox understood where this vampire was coming from, but seeing how Neal was so eager to solve such mysteries, he couldn't help but feel troubled too.

"You don't need to rush like that. You are not alone here. You got us." he said.

Neal jolted from those words and he automatically turned to the man.

"Count me out," Matthew broke the silence. "I don't want to be your scapegoat again. I'm too tired for this, Young Master Knox." he snorted.

Knox just giggled at this and said to Neal. "Ignored him. He likes to complained a lot but will just ended up helping me,"

"It's because you don't know where and when to stop!" Matthew snorted. "It's me who will be embarrassed in front of the chairman, Young Master. Do you know what I'm saying?" He brushed his face.

"Yeah, yeah." Knox waved his hands in the air. "Just tell him to get me here if he really misses me so much."

Matthew was about to throw the papers to him. "Aish! This brat!" He stood up. "Nevermind, do you guys want something to eat? I will get some food and tea."

Neal recalled the takoyaki Theo gave him so he asked Matthew if he could heat it up for him. Matthew left them and it gave another opportunity for Knox to annoy the beauty.

"Do you like takoyaki that much?" he asked.

"I just like how it melts inside my mouth." Neal replied shortly because the truth was being a vampire was like eating tasteless foods. No matter what kind of human food they ate, it will remain tasteless to them.

The reason why he liked takoyaki is because he likes to eat it hot and the way it will melt inside your mouth. Though blood tastes sweeter for him. Speaking of blood, he felt his throat dry up as soon as he realized that he hadn't got any blood.

Seeing this man whom he accidentally marked that night was an off beat to him. Neal fell silent. He would not dare to talk about it because he knew how mischievous Knox was.

"If you like something, you should tell me in the future." Knox said.

Neal glared at him. "And why would I tell you? Does my likes have to do with you?" he snorted.

Knox raised an eyebrow. "It has to do with me now, Mr Oliver." he glanced at the vampire's crimson irises. "We are now living together, right? And you marked me. How would I know where you like it if you don't want to tell me?" He grinned.

That grin made Neal shivered. His body backed away. "What the heck are you talking about? You're creeping me out! You maniac!" he exclaimed.

Instead of feeling bad, Knox just handsomely chuckled at him. He still couldn't get enough of Neal's adorable grumpy side. For him, it was like he was trying to tame a baby cub.

"Why you look so flustered?" Knox leaned closer to his chair with cunning eyes. "If you already knew what I was talking about then you don't need to act that way." he put his elbow on the side of the sofa. "It's as if you're a virgin, Mr Oliver."

Hearing the word he didn't want to hear and didn't even cross his mind, Neal's face turned redder and it reached the peak of his temples.

"So what if I'm a virgin?!" Neal suddenly blurted out. "It doesn't matter to me! I can live without it!"

Then his eyes widened as soon as he realized all the words he just blurted out on the spot and without thinking. Neal melted and slumped down on the chair.

"I–I–what I'm trying to say–" he stuttered, looking away. "Fuck, why the heck I said that?" He scolded himself. Since the other man wasn't saying anything, he thought that Knox was still grinning but as soon as he looked back, he was surprised.

Knox has this surprised expression too, Neal saw for the first time.
