Paige received an answer, saying that Anji was alright, although he was in the same room as the fucked up psychologist.

Now the people who had worked in the military quarter in Lance's office building, were all still separated from normal soldiers, while they were residing in the military bases around the city, because the attack they had faced, still couldn't be ignored.

So everyone who was part of the operation 'Story' was divided into groups and sent to different bases, for them to stay together in a room so as not to endanger the ordinary soldiers and staff of that respective base.

It appears that they were split up to reduce the danger of the creators attacking them, which would be maximized if they were all to be crowded together. 

And even if the General wanted to, he had no sayings about how the groups were divided, so he and his son were separated.
