Superpowers

I settle in bed after conversing with Angelica all day. Intending to get some rest however I keep my eyes open and stay alert for the next few hours before hearing growling and Angelica screaming.

Quickly getting up and looking across my cell as she's kicking at the zombie. I grab my hammer from the back of my pants and flip it around.

(I've got to throw it and hit the zombie without missing she can't pick it up if I miss.)

"Kick him against the cell door!" I yell as she starts to kick his side.

The zombie backs into the door as she keeps him there with her leg on his chest. I take aim at the back of his head.

(Don't miss, don't miss, don't miss) I throw the hammer the front of it hits the zombies head and bounces off.

"Fuck!" I yell as the zombie falls forward.

"Hurry, kick its head in before it gets up!" I yell as Angelica starts continuously kicking at its head.

The zombie stops moving, awakened we decide to stay up throughout the rest of the night.

In the morning, three guards come by dragging loads of corpses away. They stop by Angelica and my cells.

"The leader wants to have all survivors checked to see I'd they have a bite mark still come on let's go."

He lets us out and we walk with him and meet several other people that are getting there bite marks checked.

The man in a doctor suit takes a look at my shoulder where the bite mark is completely gone.

Coops runs up to me, his bite mark also completely gone. The guard comes by and uncuffs Angelica and I. Looking angry at me.

(Is it cause I melted the cuffs whoops)

"The towns leader Gideon would like to see the seven of you." He says leading us to a large house while Coops is standing by. We enter though these large doors.

Told to line up, we stand next to the remaining prisioners the man with the beak also present. Gideon walks down these large winding stairs.

"I called you all here because you all are immune as far as I'm aware from the zombie bites. I had a scientist take the one prisoners blood and injected into a rat the rat turned into a zombie." The eight of us look at him disgusted.

"This means while the zombie virus or whatever is inside you all, it has no effect...well, apart from this guy growing a beak." He says as we all glance over at the beaky fellow.

We don't let freeloaders live here, so we will have you eight hunt for food any objections?"

Angelica looks nervous. "Um, not all of us are built for combat, and i-i have something to say. I'm not sure if you'll believe me." She nervously remarks.

"Spit it out, girl."

"Since yesterday, I saw strange things above Earlo's head and Nellie's." She responds, Nellie's beak, poked up, looking at her dumbfounded.

"I can see their names above their heads and some sort of ability, I guess." She stutters.

"You sound ridiculous but explain further." Gideon responds.

"Below Nellie's name says ability. Birdification summary can turn part of themselves or their entire being into a bird. Earlo's says Earthly manipulation it has no description, though.

Daniel's says Earth Bending can move the ground from his own will. The rest of their abilities are infrared sight, wood conjuration, milky meds, and fermenter. Also, the dog Coops, I saw electrification above his head."

Gideon sighs "You sound ridiculous but if you can prove your claims in the next three days I'll change plans around." He brings over a guard.

"This man will show you all where you'll be staying." The guard signals us to follow him.

We walk out of the house down the concrete road for about five minutes before meeting with Coops and making a right to a dirt road.

A twenty minute walk through the dirt, and we arrive at a large wooden cabin. We walk in and the guard head off wishing us the best of luck.

We enter the cabin there are four bunk beds two on each side two bathrooms and a small kitchen in the back we flip the light switch and the lights brighten up.

"So I appreciate what you did back there... was it Angelica, yeah, but whyd you have to lie like that?" Carolyn asks.

"Huh, I didn't lie." Angelica responds Carolyn looks annoyed.

"I believe what she said." Nellie responds.

"Why just because you have a beak now that's just because you're a freak it has nothing to do with the bullshit she spit out."

"Woah hold up bitch I said I belive her don't assume why I belive her because I haven't been called Nellie since my parents died at five years old. Since then I've went by the name Cody how would she know my original name." Cody snaps back.

"I kinda belive her to when I met my dog Coops he was already bitten and when I first pet him I got electrocuted it may not have been just a coincidence." I respond.

"Fine, fine, you all can find out if what you said is true. Infrared sight, you said mine is or whatever sounds shitty." Carolyn complains.

"Well anyway thanks Cody and Earlo for believing me. we got three days to prove your abilities, so let's start with the one easy discriptions." Angelica says looking at Cody,Jax, and Daniel.

"Well I'm going to go grab my truck and drive it down here it has tons of supplies we may need. I'll be right back." I say as Coops and I go for a walk back to the truck.

I hop in the truck which was at the same spot I left it. Igniting the engine I begin my short ride back to the cabin.
