CHAPTER 2 - Arrival of Z-9

Two of them glanced towards the entrance because they felt a presence towards the entrance. They saw a strange creature. The creature was green and had a shark-like head, but had a humanlike body. The figure was huge. That thing had an armour black in color, red eyes and a huge axe hanging from his back.

Two of them are so afraid after seeing that creature and that creature approaches straight towards the stone tower where they put the Zirkon. Zeus, after realizing what the strange creature wanted, clammed himself down and warned Ryu about it.

"Ryu, it came here for Zirkon!" Zeus screams at Ryu. Zeus tried to find a weapon that can hold that creature for a moment. He looked here and there but couldn't find anything.

Ryu started feeling dizzy. The poison affected him. Still, Ryu heard what Zeus was saying. He saw that thing coming towards him with his half closed eyes. He raised his right hand to that thing.

Suddenly, the creature stopped its movement. It was Ryu who used his power to stop it despite feeling dizzy. Although he is not a master at it yet, his daily practices make it possible to stop the creature's movement. His will power was strong enough to make him stay in that place. Zeus saw that and smiled. He tried to chear up Ryu so that he could hold little long.

"Ryu, you can do it my friend. We can't let that creature to take our Zirkon from here," Zeus said.

But they fell into despair as the creature moved from his place. Ryu was overusing his power. Zeus depends on Ryu, as he is weak in physical strength. But he has something that no one has. He has the power of fast thinking and analyzing.

"Ryu, this creature is tough. I am thinking of a plan to stop it, do what I say," Zeus asks Ryu.

Zeus observed that creature thoroughly. That creature puts out its Tabar Zin (Battle Ax) and moves towards them. Before taking the Zirkon, the creature wants to kill them.

Zeus understands, because of what he did to Ryu, he can't fight for too long. Zeus knows ‌he can't stop the creature by himself. So he was about how he can get out of here and call for help.

"Ryu, can you distract this creature for some time? I will go out of this place and call for help," Zeus told Ryu, who nodded. Ryu once again uses his power to stop the creature.

In the meantime, Zeus, wasting no time, ran towards the entrance. The gate was slightly open, and he thought he could pass through it.

That creature expected what he was up to. The creature throws his ax toward Zeus. Zeus dodged it ‌quickly, but the ax hit the training area's wall, which made an enormous crack in the wall. They made this training grounds wall from a special material that blocks any energy from leaking.

A rock coming from the explosion has hit Zeus's leg. So he can't run now. Ryu uses his power and throws all the rocks toward that creature. He tried to crush the creature.

In the meantime, someone was sitting on a branch of a tree and watching over the village from the outside. Suddenly, something started vibrating. He took out a strange device from his pocket.

"Go, Zeus! " Ryu screams at Zeus.

On the other side, Zeus picked up a sword after abandoning the plan to go outside for help and ran toward the creature. Zeus was bleeding from his leg. Still, he needs to fight this creature. He knows the monsters won't let him go out of this place.

Zeus made a slash in his abdomen where the defense of the monster's skin was low. He finds this weakness after examining the creature. Ryu controls many steel rods and throws them toward the creature. He uses all his power to do so.

Zeus uses all his energy to attack that creature. Now he is on the ground. He was panting. They thought they won, so they could take some rest before calling the elders.

Suddenly, that creature stood up again and glanced at them and after that, he started walking towards Zirkon. Zeus and Ryu are helpless now. Fear was showing on their faces. They both used all of their physical strength. Now one thing they could do was just wait and watch. Now that creature is heading towards the Zirkon. But Ryu once again uses his power despite his injuries.

"I won't give up. I won't let you take Zirkon from here," Ryu screams.

Zeus also injured himself previously, but he still picked up some rocks and threw them at the creatures. They both went out of their limit but they were not the ones who gave up so easily.

"So you both want to die so badly, then I would be happy to do so," the creature suddenly said to them.

Ryu and Zeus both became speechless. They thought ‌the creature couldn't understand what they were saying.

"I'm Z-9 from Terzaghi's division. I grant your death," Z-9 (that creature) said and was about to kill Ryu. It is like he wants to finish Ryu first with one ‌hit. Ryu's eyes were wide open, and his body was shaking, but he was still trying to stop the Z-9 movement.

Ryu could not hold for long and fell to the ground. Zeus didn't saw what happened. Suddenly a movement can be seen on Ryu's body. At last Ryu was able to stand on his bare feet.

His eyes was glaring at Z-9. A evil smile appeared on Ryu's face.

He laughed and said ," You monster think that you can defeat me that easily. Not this time when I'm here."

Ryu's body was glowing red. As soon as he launched his attack, he heard a voice.

Suddenly the room temperature changed quickly and Z-9 froze in ice in a blink of an eye. It happened so quickly that Ryu and Zeus didn't even see what happened.

"Ow, you two seem to have potent power, if you could hold him for so long," an unknown man said to them.

The man saw "Z-9" written on the back of that creature. Z-9 was quite a gigantic creature who had a powerful body. His eyes were dark red.

"Why did they send Zirkonian of this rank here? Are they wanting to kill these kids or does it come here for the Zirkon?" He said in his mind.

Finally Ryu came back to himself. He didn't know what just happened here.

Ryu and Zeus were trying to understand what was happening. They couldn't do anything in their present condition.

Z-9 broke free from the ice and tried to slash that man. The person dodged its attack quickly.

"Why are you here, Ice hunter?" Z-9 said.

"Don't call me that. My name is Vargas. It seems I'm pretty famous up there," Vargas (that unknown man) said.
