Chapter 12: Mia the Ice Beauty

Ian finished cleaning his room. He directly burned his bed with their blankets since the smell can't be removed with his previous outfit that became black colored.

After making sure that there's no lingering smell in his apartment he picked his phone and asked Lily.

"How many days have I slept Lily?"s

『Three days Masta~』

"What! I thought it's just a moment. I didn't think I was sleeping for 3 whole days. Did someone find me while I was sleeping?" Ian asked. Since he didn't know when his Sister would come to his apartment.

『There's none Masta~』

"I see. Thankfully my sister didn't come while I was sleeping since I don't know how to explain if she sensed the smell coming from my body if she saw it." Ian mumbled.

Checking his phone he saw 3 missed calls from the guild. He didn't know what their business to him but since it's from the guild then it should be about the Portals.

He tried calling the caller on his phone. But his phone vibrated, implying that someone called first.

He saw the name manager on the call name and already knows who called.

All Gifters that raids the portals have a manager. The guild employed common folk to let them work on their guild since the guild also needed staff that handled miscellaneous things.

Some people have unnecessary Abilities for battles but extraordinary for other things like in the headquarters. So the guild master employed them to work for their guild.

Manager's job was to attend to the raider that the Guild employs. There are so many Gifters so the manager has a maximum of 10 Gifters to supervise each. Their job was only to make sure the gifters fulfilled their contract and notify them of their agenda for the raids. 

Many HIgh-rank Gifters have their Manager that can do anything they want to them without forcing their desire while still fulfilling the regulations. The regulations were just simple so if their manager gave the O sign then there's no problem. And of course, the Manager is a girl but there are some exceptions and unique Gifters that didn't want a girl but…

The regulations were created by the strong and the Guild Master was the one who created the regulations in their guild, so if they are Stronger than the guild master then they can do anything they want. 

But if they are not, then they just have to obey. If not, maybe their body can be found lying cold on the ground the next morning.

That's how the world works here, the different treatment for different ranks was heaven and earth treatment, there's no comparison at all.

"Hello, Mr. Barn? I thought you're dead and ready to inform your family member." a cold voice has heard the moment he answers his phone.

"Hahaha Ms. Manger your joke was funny, that's why no males dared to become your suitor with your sense of humor," Ian replied.

The name of his Manager was Mia. Unknown background. She is known as the Ice Manager on the guild. 

By the way, the name of his temporary guild is Grand Diamond Guild o

or [GD]. Its name came from the Guild Master Title which is Absolute Tanker. The strongest defender in the country. 

Mia was a beauty for sure. She can control ice which is a rare ability. Many were doubtful why she is working as a Manager in a guild instead of being a Raider.

Some tried to flirt with her but was taken to the hospital with a broken nose. Stronger Gifters try their luck on her but instead frozen from head to toe.

Fighting was forbidden in the Guild building but since it was self-defense there's nothing they can do about it. 

The Guild Master didn't fire her indicates that she has a strong backing or the guild master was afraid of her which is impossible in their mind so it became the former.

She became prominent instantly and is wished by many as their manager, especially the A ranker in the Guild but rejected flatly by her.

Ian comes across her for the first time at the food stall that he visits often when he doesn't have money. He just glanced at her at that time since her beauty alone can make anyone take a double look at her if you saw her.

At that time his contract from another Guild was just finished, so when he applied to be a porter on the strongest guild, he met her again. She didn't recognize him so he just also glanced at her and passed his Identification Card (IDC) to her.

His ability was perfect for being a porter so they employed him immediately.

The former Ian always meets her at the stalls that made him know her since she immediately threatened him when she recognized him, so yes that's how they know each other.

"Ohoh! Seems like you've developed some balls this week that I didn't see you. You wanted to die huh!" Mia replied. Her voice was still cold but it directly sent chills on Ian's back when he heard her smiling voices which is not smiling on his mind.

"By the way why did you call me?" Ian immediately changed the subject since he didn't want to be frozen in her Ice.

"Hmph! Don't assume that I will ignore what you said to me. And about why I called you. It's about your treaty that was estimated to be terminated. The agreement written here was you require to enter at least one portal per week but it's almost a week and you didn't follow it so the penalty you need to pay is about a thousand crystal."

" Wait! wait! Wait a minute~! I have a reason for that! I become unconscious for an entire week that's why!" Ian Hurriedly replied. 

Although he didn't care about the agreement being removed, the fee that he was required to pay was another matter.

Even his sister's family can't earn that much money in a day, so for him who didn't have any penny of crystal was impossible to be settled with.
