CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

~~~~~~ 8:30 P.M

Tyres of a car screeched as it came to an halt in front of a beautiful white mansion. Maximilian and Zendaya both alighted from the car with a smile plastered on their faces.

"There's going to be a lot of people in there", Zendaya said nervously.

"It's a party, what do you expect?"

"Well, it's my first time attending one, night to be precise", Zendaya said.

Maximilian was astonished.

"Thank God you have an experience now", Maximilian said and pecked her cheeks.

Zendaya couldn't stop herself from blushing. She stared straight and deep into his charming eyes.

"My knees are going to collapse because your beautiful eyes are staring straight into mine", Maximilian said with a grin.

Zendaya blushed harder.

"I'm head over heels in love with you", Maximilian said.

"Stop making me speechless"

"Your happiness is my comfort zone", He said.

Zendaya bit her lower lip.

"C'mon let's go in", Zendaya said and hugged his arm.

The entire room was filled with loud music blarring from the speakers. Everyone was definitely on their dancing shoes.

Blythe sighted Maximilian and Zendaya dancing and she stopped on her tracks. She stared at them angrily. Remington noticed her and smiled. He wrapped his arm around her waist. Midas saw this and he almost exploded due to jealousy.

"Ignore them and enjoy the groove", Remington said into her ear.

Blythe swallowed hard and tried to look away,but it was impossible. She couldn't stop stealing glances from them as Remington tried to dance with her.

Meanwhile, Maximilian and Zendaya were feeling over the moon.

"I feel so lucky to have you. You make me feel special", Zendaya said.

Maximilian smiled and stared straight into her eyes. He took her left hand and placed it on his chest.

"This heart beats for you alone", He said.

Zendaya smiled and pecked his lips.

Blythe's calmness exploded. She pushed Remington away and rushed over to Zendaya and Maximilian.She pushed the both of them away from each other abruptly.

"I've warned you to stay the hell away from him", Blythe yelled while pointing at Zendaya.

The music stopped.

"Stop pointing your filthy finger at her", Maximilian said and hit her hand.

Midas walked over to them.

"You don't have to cause a drama today, please", Midas said to Blythe.

Blythe laughed wryly.

"Get the behind me you dullard. What does an empty head like you know?", Blythe yelled.

Midas was shocked,yet he gave a smile. He never expected it. He felt a dagger struck his heart. Everything he felt for Blythe disappeared immediately. The soft spot he has for her turned into a rocky path. He turned back slowly and went to sit on a chair, waiting to enjoy the drama.

Blythe grabbed Zendaya's hair and Zendaya winced in pain. Maximilian frowned and pushed Blythe away.

"The next time you lay your hands on my girl,I will make you regret every single action of yours", Maximilian said angrily.

Cadence and Lavender rushed to her.

"C'mon Blythe you don't have to do this here. Everyday is not Christmas,so chill", Cadence whispered into her ear.

Blythe rolled her eyes and went to grab a seat.

"Are you okay?", Maximilian asked Zendaya and she gave a nod.

"I'm sorry for that", Maximilian apologized to Garrison.

"It's fine. Let's go check out the fireworks everyone", Garrison said happily.

Everyone rushed to the terrace happily. They waited eagerly for the commencement of the fireworks.Eventually, the fire went up and cracked up in the sky.

"Eeew!.Where is your dignity oh children of Israel?. I can't believe they are at the edge of making out", Thaddeus said with disgust as his gaze was fixed on a particular couple beside a car on the street.

"Who are you talking about?", Leonideus asked.

"Them", Thaddeus replied, pointing at the couples. Everyone shifted their gazes to them.

"Oh!. I heard she is the top slut at Heady's Brothel. She does this with different men shamelessly, almost every night", Garrison said.

The couple adjusted their position without stopping their session. The street lights reflected on the lady's face, making everyone see her face.

Zendaya's heart skipped a bit.

"Oh my gosh!. Mom", She almost screamed.

"Mom?", Cadence repeated.

Unfortunately, Cadence was standing in front of Zendaya,so she heard.

"Oh!. I mean... My Mother sent me a message not to sleep out", Zendaya said nervously.

Of course, it's a lie.

"This party is a sleepover", Cadence said.

"She told me to be back before 11:00 P.M. My Mom can be unbelievable sometimes", She stared at her phone and gave a fake smile.

"You never told me that", Maximilian said suddenly.

"The message just popped up", Zendaya defended herself.

"I really need to leave", Zendaya rushed out and Maximilian followed.

Cadence bit her lips suspiciously. She isn't convinced with Zendaya's story. She feels there's something else to her behavior.

A message popped into her phone. It was from her mother.

It read:"This is the goddamn bit*h your father is cheating on me with".

The message was attached with two pictures.

Cadence clicked on the picture and zoomed in. Her brows crumpled. The lady in the picture looks familiar.

"Isn't this the lady, Garrison was talking about",She pondered.

She shifted her gaze to where the couples were standing,but they left already.

She clicked on the other picture and zoomed in again.

"I'm very sure"

Zendaya's reaction flashed back into her head.

"Hmmm. Fishy"

She typed a message and sent it to an unknown number. She waited nervously.

"Is everything fine?", Leonideus asked.

"Yes"

"Are you sure?"

"I need to use the restroom", She said.

"I'll escort you",He said.

Cadence shook her head.

"I'm not a kid",She said with a smile.

Leonideus pecked her cheeks and she left. Immediately Cadence got into the restroom, she locked the door and began to pace as she checked her phone every minute.

A message finally popped into her phone and she clicked on it without wasting time.

"I knew it. I was right all along", Cadence said happily.

FIDELITY HOTEL

Stormy's phone kept on ringing and he refused to pick it up.

"Your phone looks like it's going to explode", Megan said.

"It's my wife. She has nothing else to say than nagging", Stormy replied.

Stormy moved closer to her and grabbed her waist.

"I'm divorcing her",Stormy said and kissed her neck.

Megan moaned.

"All I want is to be free and be with you", Stormy said and kissed her neck again.

The door bagged open. Stormy and Megan were dumbstruck.

"Cecilia!", Stormy yelled with surprise.

"I have the master key so don't ask", Cecilia said with a frown.

"This is invasion of privacy", Stormy said angrily.

"I'm your wife and I own this motherfu*king hotel", Cecilia yelled.

Cecilia rolled her eyes and shifted her gaze to Megan.

"Oh!. So you're the bit*h he is cheating with", Cecilia said while moving closer to Megan.

Megan smirked and folded her arms.

"You're going to die of hypotension,if you're not careful", Megan said.

Cecilia gasped and raised her hand to slap Megan, but Megan held it.

"Do not mess with me. It's women like you I deal with. Speak to your husband and find a way to fix your broken home. Stop meddling in my business and make sure you don't die of hypotension", Megan said with a mischievous smirk and dropped her hand harshly.

Cecilia went numb.

Megan picked up her bag and wore her heels. She moved closer to Stormy and kissed him on the lips. She walked over to Cecilia and embraced her.

"I know what's on your mind, but don't worry baby,you can't do a thing to me. Your husband is also the best...hmmm...you know what I mean", Megan whispered into her ear and walked out.

Cecilia glared daggers at Stormy.

"It's not going to change the fact that we're getting divorced", Stormy said and walked out.

Cecilia sat on the bed angrily. She was sweating, even though the room was cold.
