Making Choices
Morjana gleefully glided through the air and flew across the large garden behind the palace, barely clearing the tree tops. As her wing was healing, she was getting used to flying again and making up for the time she stayed confined to the ground, although she was still a tad sloppy.
Her joy was so palpable that Zarqa and Ali Baba couldn't help but smile openly while watching her take the tour. They had settled themselves on a grass-covered mound and watched the bird rediscover her ability to fly, letting out enthusiastic squawks and caws.
A long silence stretched between them as each seemed to sort through their own thoughts. They had their own things to grapple with after everything that happened.
Whether tired of the quiet or he had already marshaled his own concerns, Ali Baba finally looked at the girl with curiosity in his eyes and asked. " What Harun said… about that sorcerer's objective…"
