Chapter 2
In a world where the cards weren't real, duels weren't nearly as entertaining. The game was still popular but was more or less only played by people who actually knew the cards and attempted to really learn how they worked. That was our world. There were no duel disks and the events happened in the anime or manga only existed in the form of fiction named after the game.
What was the game you ask? Well that should be obvious but for those who can't tell the game is Yu-Gi-Oh or as you might heard it called Duel Monsters.
Personally I didn't really care but I am reincarnated in this world more specifically Arc V honestly it was the period of time I enjoyed the best as it allowed me to mix and mash just about any special summoning method things have changed I become a member of this world so if I want to be successful and survive I just can't randomly mix dragon cards to create a deck that can utilize every extra deck summoning method so I have to choose an archetype to build my deck around while blue-eyes is a classic and a good option it isn't for me as I didn't really enjoy using them my most modern and up to date deck will be a galaxy-eyes one so it is the one I will take first of all I like and enjoy them while also being fairly strong while it is by no means the strongest deck possible but it is the one I'm most familiar and comfortable using while also being capable of winning more consistently compared to my other decks combos isn't my cup of tea
For starters I'm by no means a strong and competitive duelist most of my decks are more suited for casual dueling I'm no anime character who have insane luck so I need a consistent deck with a strong beat stick sure my plays are repetitive and easy to predict but it is what works for me my favorite characters are Kaito from zexal and Jack from 5ds.
As a duelist it is easier for me to picture winning with a galaxy-eyes deck than a red dragon archfiend one while I love using them if I have to pick which one I will use more often it i will choose the former especially if I am reincarnated in Arc V as I can more easily setup the summoning of my ace monster consistently enough about that let's take a look at my current situation
My new appearance is completely different from my previous life because it was straight out of fiction which shouldn't be a surprise as I'm now in an anime world
It looks like a half between human and elf from fantasy stories in other words a half-elf having a long, straight platinum blonde hair.
The amber eyes that were a bit slanted and having strong-willed look.
Having 160cm for height, and a slender, model-like figure having a moderate size of breast. Wearing an attire similar and D-pad to Droite from Zexal
She is most beautiful girl I could ever see she is totally my type but thinking about it I'm rather conflicted sure it is my type it is another thing to be this girl while I'm thankful for having a good looking appearance I'm rather be an average looking guy but beggars can't be choosers thinking on the bright side it is a dream come true to be able to duel with my favorite anime characters truthfully I'm okay with it but action duels are another story as I'm not exactly the most athletic person luckily my deck is fairly solid I probably won't need to rely on action cards as for dueling in addition I can't create cards out of nowhere unlike the protagonist no even if exclude that I don't have notable advantage like the hearth of the cards trust your deck and it will answer you which is a thing in this world or duel energy
All I have is my deck and modern yu-gi-oh knowledge I wonder how I will fare in this world Arc V it had good potential but wasted it had a good start but the ending sure it isn't bad but could be something more. Action duels and Entertainment duel honestly a gambler deck won't be out of place in this world but it isn't my cup of tea my strategy is basically just summoning neo prime or put it simply aim for an OTK which different from the common strategy of the people of this world then again the circumstances are different
How I approached the game have changed a lot to keep up with the times but even then I know I'm never going to be more than your average duelist but this world I do have a solid chance of reaching the top my dueling style may not be the most entertaining or repetitive but it's solid and let me go all out from the start plus summoning chants are cool so I get to do that too without looking out of place or embarrassing
I won't be using the chants from the anime but my own after all I'm my own person not someone else so this it thinking about I haven't choose my new name honestly I will go for Yomi Hikari which may sound cringe but it will do the job plus have some special meaning roughly translating to dark light
Plus considering I will be using a galaxy-eyes deck I think it would be a good match while there are countless more cool names this is the first one that pop in my mind so it will do the job becoming this world's best duelist will be my long term goal although I have a lot of advantages
Nevertheless hard work is important so I will work to create my own path not because I am reincarnated here but because I want to create my own future as a member of this world the way of the galaxy
