Dirty Old Man

The sound of dripping water and coughing could be heard from Yue's cell. After Princess Venessa and Albert left, Albert had returned an hour later with the promised partition so she could have some privacy. This gave Yue a chance to look at her system again. When she brought it up, she was met with a screen that showed how many goddess points she had and a few other bits of information. "Hmm? I have three… So something I did between the time I made the first program and used up all my points until now has gained me three more points. But what is this evolution thing? Does spending points and creating programs mean I can evolve? Well, until I can figure out what actually gains me goddess points and make it to one million, I guess only then I will find out."

[Current Evolution]: Mortal

[Goddess Points]: 3

[Points Until Next Evolution]: 100/1,000,000

Yue looked at the huge amount to evolve and frowned. She did not know what awaited her once she did evolve. She could only hope that after she did, that it will allow her to become more powerful and protect what she wants to protect. And right now, she did not have much. But she knew that things might change in the future.

Yue closed the menu and leaned back on the cold cot that was supplied in the room, and closed her eyes to rest. She had no idea how long it would take before she would be called for trial, but she hoped it wouldn't be too long. Based on the verdict she got would depend on what she did next. She did not make too much of a fuss out of being arrested, but this did not mean she would not plan her escape if they wished to be unreasonable with her sentence.

"Hey, miss! Little wolfy miss!" Yue heard a voice coming from across the way and frowned. She pulled back the partition to see a middle aged man in dirty rags and long matted brown standing in the cell next to her. When he smiled, she saw that he only had a few teeth.

"What?" Yue asked. She had a feeling she would regret even acknowledging this man, and she soon did as the man dropped his pants and exposed himself to her.

"Little miss, let me see some skin... Hehe..." The middle aged man said with a strange look in his eye.

Yue sneered and waved her hand as she pulled back the partition, not wanting to look at the man as he began screaming in pain and rolling around on the ground. "Showing me such a disgusting thing. How will I sleep tonight!?" Feeling her stomach slightly turn, Yue did her best to push the nasty thing out of her mind and closed her eyes, all while ignoring the horrific screams of the man who was currently being burned alive in his cell.

Only ten minutes passed, and Yue heard the sounds of footsteps as the guards came running into the dungeon to see what the racket was about. Sadly for the dirty old man who flashed Yue, the guards were much too late as he had already been turned into charcoal.

"What the hell happened here!?" One of the guards shouted before entering the cell.

Another guard yelled into Yue's cell and asked: "Little girl did you see what happened?"

Yue sighed, rolled over and pulled the partition, and glared at the guard: " I may be a prisoner, but I would still like to get some sleep. With the man across from me screaming and yelling about being on fire, and then you bothering me, I can't get any shut eye! So do me a favor and shut up and let this lady sleep!"

Yue's words were filled with magic called word magic. As soon as she said shut up, the guard was no longer able to speak. He felt like something was stuck in his throat and began grasping at his neck, thinking he couldn't breathe, but after he realized he was indeed breathing fine, he stared at the closed partition in horror. He turned to his comrade and wanted to get his attention but all of a sudden, he felt he could talk again!

"Did you get any information from her?" The other guard asked as he walked out of the cell.

"She said he lit himself on fire somehow. We should let the little lass sleep. She has had a hard day." The guard replied. He decided he wanted nothing to do with that little girl. She was said to not be able to cast magic, but with a simple word, she was able to turn him mute. If she was not able to cast magic then the whole damn world was full of wastes who couldn't cast shit out of their own ass!

"Hmm?" The other guard peeked into the other cell but only saw a closed partition and shrugged. He could care less. All those in here were in here for something horrible anyways. "Then let's get this body out of here and go back to our game."

Yue smiled hearing the guards leave. She finally felt like she could sleep. And that she did, she dozed off in a matter of seconds after the place became silent once again.

Yue's trial was much faster than she had expected. Once morning came around her cell door was opened and her name was called out waking her up. "Yue Noret, your trial is today please come with me."

Yue rubbed her eyes and ran her fingers through her hair as she got up from the cot and pulled the partition back. "So soon?"

"Princess Venessa, had her father move the court date to today. I heard from Captain Albert what happened. I can only wish you the best of luck in your trial and Yue." The guard paused for a second as he bowed his head: "Thank you for saving my daughter. She was one of the ones you risked your life to bring home. If I had known things whereas they were, I would have come forward as well to have a search party formed for you. I will also be testifying on your behalf today as well. I think your case will go smoothly."

Yue smiled as she said: "I only did what was right, no need for thanks. As for the case. We will see how things turn out. Thank you for your support."
