Without the pressure of the Rumble Rumble Fruit, Vox took his sweet time getting back to East Blue. Stopping at almost every island to watch explore. Having some snu snu with the locals and simply training his devil fruit whenever flying to the next stop.

He did not train his body much, simply because it did not pay off as much as training his devil fruit does. He had witnessed the power of the lighting as it changed color. The purple lighting was so power, that any other logia devil fruit user will die a horrible dead if they were hit by it.

'It takes too much time!' Vox shook his head while flying. No matter what he did, he just could not reduce the time required to condense the lighting so much for it to become purple in color. And that time requires his utmost concentration as well. Making it useless if he does not have a way to hold the enemy down. Because unless someone is mentally challenged, they would be able to see where your area are stretching too(aiming) and dodge it.

He tried with the sword as well, but all of it failed. while the lighting was stronger, it was not near the strength he unleashed upon Neel.

'forget it, If Enel didn't do it in 8 years in the original timeline, it means it is too hard to use in a fight.' Shaking his head in disappointment, he took out 1 card and looked intently at it.

'If I change my modify my DNA, will I be able to alter my talent? How about the Devil Fruit? Can I experiment with multiple devil fruits... If only I had a few hundred of these cards.' After contemplating for a long time, he decided to not use it, the card is too precious. He really wanted a few more of it and experiments with them.

Looking in the distance, Vox felt someone watching him. This was a result of doing Haki training. Everytime he flies he would summon Mystic Elf and have her throw small rocks in front of him, which most of the time hit him. but over the course of 3 months traveling, he was able to dodge most of them. His Haki should be a bit less than Enel's before he got his devil fruit. Which doesn't say much.

Looking down he saw a single marine ship exciting the Calm Belt. because the distance was to big he decided to ignore it and keep going. But a few minutes later Heli dodged to the left at an alarming speed. looking at what it was, made him shocked and excited at the same time.

'There is only one man I know that would throw that so high.' "Heli go down" Vox said as he pointed downwards. He realized that Heli is pretty stupid for being a fusion monster.

When they got closer to the ship, Vox saw a man entering old age with a few gray hairs sticking out like sore thumbs. "Vice-admiral Garp, would you mind not throwing cannon balls at my friend over here." Vox said he landed on the ship.

The normal marines around him had already drawn their swords and firearms, but Vox didn't care. There are only a few people on this ship that can threaten him and Garp is someone that will annihilate him if he wanted.

"Hahaha brat! I thought you you were Shiki, flying up there like that." Garp laughed loudly. then sat on a chair as he relaxed.

'Yea right, you obviously could see me. No wonders Luffy became a pirate, who would want to join him and his jokes.' Vox scoffed at Garp and went to sit next to him.

"So, to what do I owe the pleasure of receiving a cannonball from you?" Vox spoke as he took out a bottle of liqueur from his backpack.

"Up for a drink?" Vox looked at him as he took out to mugs.

"Hahaha, you are a funny one. Pour it in."

After they both drank the bottle empty and had some small talk, Vox learned quite a bit about him that the show didn't. For example, this living legend was the most annoying person he has met so far. 'Seriously, no wonder Sengoku always shouts at him. One day and I will go mad.' everytime Vox said something, Garp would laugh. Even if it was not funny. But there was a good redeeming quality about him that Vox was already aware of, this man had a good moral standing.

"Old man Garp, why don't you become an Admiral? You have the strength for it." Vox said as he pulled out another bottle.

"I don't like the paperwork that comes with the job Hahahaha"

'That's a lie.' Vox thought as he heard his laugh, he was not sure, but it was very likely that he just did not want to see the celestial dragons and their inhuman behavior.

"I see, well then old man Garp. This bottle is a different kind of liqueur and much stronger than the one we had before. It is my gift to you for the pleasure of meeting the man that rivaled Gol D. Roger." Vox especially emphasized the D. in there, as the world government wanted people to not know that he was from the D. lineage, they just called him Gold Roger.

Vox went towards Heli and jumped on it, as he was flying his voice sounded again. "You can't change the system from inside if you don't go higher Garp, the dragons will fall sooner or later, and your family will be their downfall." Vox said as he hoped his words might give him some motivation to rise in ranks, but he very much doubted it.

As for Garp attacking him, he wasn't worried. Garp had his own loyal marines with him, he was also aware of the celestial dragons behavior better than anyone else.

Garp had a meaningful look in his eyes as he looked at the flying Heli.

Vox decided to go back to his island as he did not want to change the future, even his conversation with Garp could greatly impact it. The reason Vox wanted to keep the timeline similar at least until the second half of the grand line, aka New World, is because information is important.

'Stick with the devil you know.' Vox thought to himself. If he can predict the movement of the major figures in 10 years time, then he will have a huge advantage. The only uncertainty was that group that attacked them bear Willow Island and The Fullbring family and the experiments. They bring more concern to Vox that the World Government does, because if Enel listens to him, Enel will be at least a Vice-Admiral, but the chances of him becoming an Admiral is much higher. With an Admiral inside the Marines, everything will be much easier.

'Once the kids grow up, a bit more, I will start by taking over the underground world in East Blue. But I need them to grow first.' Vox thought to himself, laughing at his hypocrisy, he wants to save the kids from their living conditions but then he is using them to gain loyal fighters.

"Is this what they mean by 'To kill the devil, you have to become the devil.'?" deciding to not think about it. he summoned Mystic Elf and had her throw rocks in front of him.
