Chapter 21

-- A Couple of Days Later, General POV --

"..." It has been weeks, maybe months, since Chazz the Thunder left the Duel Academy, to find his path in life! And now, he was stranded out of nowhere, on a boat that was sinking, with no food nor water left,

"Wretched Crowler, Wretched Jaden, Wretched Konami," Chazz mutters as he then started hallucinating, started to see the person he hates the most in the world,

"You are still alive Princeton? I thought the lifespan of a bitch was only 15 years, I suppose some of them lives a year or two more" Konami said with a grin on his face,

"*Growl* What the hell are you saying you bastard! If we fight one more time, I know…" Chazz said as he activated his duel disk "I will win,"

"I suppose it is true what they say, being stranded in sea makes you delusional," Konami said before drinking a bottle of water, taunting the rich boy.

"Shut Up!" he said as he threw an empty water bottle at Konam's illusion, "Ah" he said as he realized his mistake and tried to reach out for it, but instead, fell into the ocean, "Konami! This is all your fault," he said as he started sinking…

-- Inside A Submarine --

Chazz was passed out, laying next to couple of fishes when a yellow light approached,

"Hey Boss," An annoying voice said, "Time to wake up," the light revealed itself to be a duel spirit, Ojama Yellow to be precise. "Come on wake up, I'll even do my wake uo dance," he said as he twerked his ass on Chazz's face.

Chazz grabbed Ojama Yellow, and squashed it, making Ojama disappear with a fart,

"Awake yet?" Another voice, much more distinguish said, making Chazz to open his eyes wide, and sit up

"Where am I? Belly of a whale?" Chazz asked before noticing a man covered in seaweed, holding onto duel monster cards, "Wh- Who are you?"

"My name? It doesn't matter. Are you a duelist?" the man asked and Chazz noticed his deck was missing

"Those cards? Is that my deck?" he asked "Return them you kelp monster,"

"Sorry but, they are soaked through, totally unusable," kelp man said as he dropped the cards to a puddle of water in front of him,

"You old man!" Chazz looked ready to fight, before catching a card in reflex "That card is a present from me,"

"A present?" Chazz asks as he looks at the card, before noticing it was the weakest monster he had ever seen, an Ojama Yellow. He was about to throw it away but the man covered in kelp suddenly shouted,

"Wait, stop. If you toss that card away, you'll regret it," the man said

"What are you talking about?"

"In your sleep you kept muttering, 'I want to get stronger, I want to get stronger,' I heard you talk about Crow-something, Jaden, and Konami, or something like that." the man said

"What was I doing…" Chazz mutters,

"Do you really want to become strong?" the man asks, and Chazz sees the smug grin of Konami, before growling

"Of course I do!" He said "What kind of a man doesn't want power?!"

"Are you prepared to put in the work?" kelp man asks

"Work?" Chazz asks as if he never heard of the word, "Who do you think you are talking to, I am Chazz PRINCETON, power is my birthright,"

"Ha Ha Ha, you dislike work, but want to become strong, a truly foolish child. Oh well, you do seem to have a power others lack…" he says "I'll take you to a place you'll like," then a door above Chazz opens, and water comes pouring, sending him flying to the surface,

-- The Surface --

"That damn kelp monster… Treating me like this…" Chazz mutters as he gets up, he realizes he was in a snow covered area, and there was a large building, walking distance from him, "I see, that old man wants to test me, does he? I'll show him," he says as he walks towads the large building,

He knocks on the wooden door, "Open up, anyone there? Open up," he said

But a middle aged bold man with glasses who Chazz had not noticed, was sitting next to the door, in front of a small fire, spoke up "It's useless… This is North Duel Academy, the gate won't open unless you have 40 cards,"

"So this is the North Duel Academy?" Chaz asked more to himself than the middle aged man next to him. He turned to the man in there and spoke "I lost my deck on the way here,"

"The gate won't open unless you have 40 cards," the man repeated "But there is a way, in the area surrounding the school, there are cards hidden in crevices and caves," the man said with a longing look on his face, "You need to find those, if you can't you'll end up like me," he said, and Chazz noticed the deck in the holster of the middle aged man duel disk

"Then what is that?" he ask

"This deck has only 39 cards, collecting this many took the last of my stamina and willpower," he explained

"In other words you are a slacker," Chazz said "In that case, old man, sell me your cards," he said as he pulled out a credit card,

"NO! These are the proof that I am alive," the man refused and backed away from the teen "Are you trying to take that from me?"

"Fine then, I'll do it myself," Chazz said as he walked away

"Be careful! The strongest cards are hidden in the most dangerous places!" the man warned/informed Chazz.

Chazz then spend the next couple of days searching for cards, he swam in freezing cold water, climbed ice glaciers, fought animals and once he had 40 cards, he returned to the North Duel Academy,

Once he got there, he noticed the older man was still sitting, "Are you still here, old man?"

"You are back! Did you collect 40 cards?" bald man asks

"Yeah, I fought northern killer whales, scaled bottomless crevices, and fought polar bears, and vampire bats. And I finally have the full set!" Chazz said

"I seei then you'll be passing through that gate," the man stated, "I am so glad, ever since you left, I've been worried about you,"

"Worried… about me?" Chazz asks

"I should have just given you my cards, you are still young, you shouldn't turn out like me. But you made it back safely, now go, the gate will open for you," the older man said as he took a step back

"Old man, you are coming with me," Chazz said "I'm going to give you one card, then you'Ll have 40 cards too"

"You'll give me a card? But then you won't-" he was about to say but Chazz stopped him

"I collected 41 card, don't get it wrong, this is a card I don't need for my deck," he said as he took out Ojama Yellow, he tried to give the card but, the card moved away from the older man,

"Aren't you gonna give it to me?" the older man asks

"Wha- what? My hand's moving on it's own," Chazz said, "Grr…" and then Ojama Yellow's spirit appeared

"Hey- Hey Boss, why are you trying to give me to someone else?" Ojama said

"Wh- what are you?" Chazz asks

"Is something wrong?" Older man asks, looking at Chazz

"You can't see it?" he asks

"See what?"

"You're the only one who can see me, Boss," Ojama explained "Come on Boss, don't give me away, I have brothers, help me find them!"

"So annoying, fine, just take this!" Chazz instead gave the older man a different card,

"Thank you, ah- I didn't catch your name,"

"It's Chazz, Chazz Princeton! You go ahead, I'll rest here a little," he said and walked to the fire, and sat down where the older man was sitting previously,

Then a hallucination of Konami appeared "That was unlike you Princeton, maybe you are not a complete shit head after all,"

"Shut Up!" Chazz screamed as he punched Konami's illusion, making it disappear, "Huh? Chazz then noticed he was sitting on top of a spell card, Chaos End. He grabbed it and walked towards the gate,

"Take a look! I have forty cards!" he said

A laser scan shot towards Chazz's duel disk, after confirming he indeed have 40 cards, the door slides open. "So this is the North Duel Academy," Chazz muttered, it seemed empty, and had an architecture mixture of Ancient Egypt, and Wild West.

He then saw the old man he had given a card, fly through a tavern door, he ran towards the old man, "Hey old man, what happened?" he asks

"Cha- Chazz," the old man managed to say but then a mocking chuckle caught their attention

"Just welcoming the new guy," now over fifty people were present, and there was a muscular man sitting on a rocking chair. "Welcome to North Duel Academy," he said

"Who the hell are you?" Chazz asks

"I am the 'King' of North Duel Academy, the best duelist here. According to our custom, the new students have to be welcomed with a battle royal,"

"Battle Royal?" Chazz asks

"We call it the 50 Man Duel of Death, you duel against the top 50 duelist in the academy, from lowest to highest, until you lose, and then we place you according to that rank, and if you beat all 50, you get to fight me, Czar!"

"This guy lost in the first duel, so he gets the lowest rank," a random student said about the old man

"Huh, good, I can use the warm up," Chazz said,

"What did you say loser,"

"Loser?! The name is Chazz Princeton, and it is time for you to learn your place!"

Chazz then dueled all day long, defeating 46 duelists in a row,

"Damn you" one of the four people standing next to Czar said,

"We are this school's four heavenly lords, we won't lose to a startup like you,"

"We won't let you lay a finger on King!"

"We'll teach you a lesson," the last one said and Chazz laughed

"Taking you all one by one is too bothersome, come at me together,"

"Fine you asked for it!" they said and their duel started, the 'four heavenly lords' all summoned double Marauding Captains, making 8 Marauding Captains in their side of the field. Chazz summoned one Giant Rat, and set two cards before ending his turn. One of the 'heavenly lords' activated The A Force, increasing each Marauding Captain's attack to 2800, and destroy Giant Rat, which allows him to special summon Gyaku-Gire Panda, whose effect increases it's attack point to 4800, Chazz then uses Ring of Destruction and Ring of Defense combo, and wins the duel before facing Czar.

"Now you're the only one left!"

"I praise your willpower and stamina, climbing all this way, but… you have shown all your tricks, there is no way you can win," he says but Chazz manages to defeat him with relative ease,

"It seems we have a new 'King'," the old man from before said as he came back, wearing robs instead of hobo clothes, "I didn't introduce myself, my name is Foster, Chancellor Foster of North Duel Academy," he said

"What is going on here?!" Chazz asks, looking ready for a fight

"Calm down, I'll explain everything. First, what swallowed you wan't a whale, but this school's method of transport, a submarine, the card I gave you sensed you drifting out there, so I saved you," he said

"Stop talking nonsense!" Chazz said

"Well as you wish, but since you are the new 'King', I suppose that means you'll be one of this school's representatives, for our inter school match with Central Duel Academy.

"Inter school match with Duel Academy?" Chazz repeated, his mind going to 'Kaiser' Zane for a moment,

"This year, they are making 3v3 match, one girl, two boys, and the duel academy picked all first-years. Which we will reply in kind," he explained

"You… You knew from the start I'd become King here?" Chazz asked

"Didn't I tell, you have a power most others lack," he said with a smile,

"You will be our 3rd representative, so if I remember right, Something Kujo, no- Koala Kujo?"

"Kujo? Konami Kujo?" Chazz suggests,

"Yes that was it,"

"HI HI AH HA HA, I'm going to get another chance to fight him, am I?" He said with a sick grin on his face,

-- A Couple of Hours Later --

"Now that Chazz here is our school representative, I entrust to him the special deck handed down at North Duel Academy. Chazz, I think you will be able to use these cards to their fullest," Chancellor Foster said to the boy who was now wearing black variant of Duel Academy uniform "Now 'King' Chazz- No Chazz Princeton, take this deck" Chazz then felt something odd, as if something behind a boulder was calling to him,

He walked there, pulled it out, and behind it saw there was a card, laying there, a VERY powerful and rare card,

"That card has been hidden in the Academy by Maximillion Pegassus himself, believing the right duelist will come and find it. You really are special, Chazz Princeton, indeed worthy to be the King of North Duel Academy!"

"Chazz it Up! Chazz it Up! Chazz it Up!" The crowd of students chanted and Chazz raised his hand up,

Behind the Chancellor, two people walked in, a cheerful boy, and a stoic girl came, "We are not late, are we,"

"Who are you guys?" Chazz asks

"Well Chazz, they are your teammates!" The Chancellor said and Crowd cheered their academy's true King and Queen's return. Now… Their team was complete!
