Jayden vs Alexis Part One!!!

POV: Jayden Yugi

I had just finished reorganizing my deck by adding some new Elemental hero cards. When I got an ominous message on my PDA telling me to head to get the girls dorm if I ever wanted to see Cyrus again. Letting on a worried sigh. I grab my slipher red jacket, new deck, duel disc and began to make my way to the girls dorm in order to rescue my friend.

It didn't take long to reach the small dock leading to the Island where the girls dorm was. One rowboat ride later and I could see three girls in the Obelisk blue uniforms standing behind the hide up form of a depressed Cyrus standing off to the side was two more Obelisk girls.

As I reached landfall, I gave a questioning look at Cyrus before speaking.

"Hey, Cyrus wanna tell me what's going on?"

Cyrus gave me a weak smile before replying.

"To make a long story short. Basically I'm a big loser."

I internally cringe at my friend's depressed response. However, I turn my attention to the Obelisk girls holding my friend hostage. Seeing the unspoken question in my eyes the three girls explained the situation.

"You're blue haired buddy here trespassed on the girl's side of the campus. That is against the school rules and could get him expelled."

Cyrus weakly tried to explain himself but the girls carried on.

"That's right and now that you're here too Jayden. You are trespassing too."

Realizing the situation he and Cyrus are in, Jayden grimaced. Perhaps noticing his expression the girl that he actually knew the name of, Alexis, spoke up.

"However, since this is a Dueling Academy I believe it's only fair that you're able to win back you and your friend's freedom via a duel with me."

Hearing that not all hope is lost, I began to grin with excitement at the coming duel. A few minutes later me and Alexis were standing on two row boats near the docks with our duel disc and decks ready for action.

Alexis Rhodes: 4000 LP

Jayden Yuki: 4000 LP

With our life points set and five cards drawn, the Duel begins!

POV: Alexis Rhodes

Seeing Jayden taking the first turn, I don't object. After all, I want to test his Dueling skills and observing this first turn will help with that. After giving a quick look at his hand, Jayden made his first play.

"Now first I will bring out someone you may recognize! Come on out, Elemental hero Sparkman!"

Elemental Hero Sparkman: ATK 1600 DEF 1400

The electrifying blue hero appeared before Jayden in a heroic pose.

"I will then play one card face down and toss it on over to you Alexis."

I let a small smirk appear on my face as I draw. Looking at my current hand I can see a plan for victory appear in my head. Schooling my expression I make my first move.

"Not too bad, but I think I can do better. First I will summon Cyber Gymnast in attack position.

Cyber Gymnast: ATK 800 DEF 1800

"I will also use Cyber Gymnast's effect to discard one card to destroy one attack position Monster card on your side of the field! So say goodbye to your Sparkman!"

I watched in smug satisfaction as the buff female form of my Cyber Gymnast jumped up in the air. Spinning into a downward ax kick on Jayden's blue and gold electrified hero shattering him into fragments of light.

"Now you're wide open! Go! Cyber Gymnast, attack his life points directly!"

Jayden Yuki: LP 3200

Alexis Rhodes: LP 4000

"I will set one card face down and end my turn! Your move Jayden!"

POV: MC

I watch Alexis's First turn to come to an end. Nodding with approval at her strong opening move. Noticing the obvious difference from her anime counterpart in terms of opening moves. Perhaps my appearance in this world has already begun to make changes to the anime timeline.

That being said I am finding myself more and more curious on how Jayden will fare against this seemingly more aggressive version of Alexis. As well as what new tricks he has up his sleeve! Unconsciously a toothy excited grin morphs onto my face as I continue to watch The Duel in progress.
