Chapter 2

Thanatos Crevan Pov:

The two weeks came by fast. I was already a cruise ship to the island. They had strange rules of no dueling until we get to the Academy. There is only six other people on the ship. We pretty much stayed in our rooms except the guy with big crocodile on his back. I definitely wanted to pet it it noise.

Captain:" Beep, we will be reaching Dueling Academy in about 5 minutes. Be ready to disembark with your belongings. Beep"

At last, we've arrived. I was starting to get restless and was on the verge of breaking the no dueling rule. The group decided to move on from the area. Suddenly, Ghattic emerged from my deck and perched on my shoulders.

"Well, Ghattic, it seems we've reached our destination. Hopefully, we'll find some worthy opponents here. If not, we can always seek out duelists who don't respect their cards."

I snatch up my duel disk, designed to resemble a death scythe, with a retractable pole for added convenience. As I wield it, I exude an air of coolness and danger.

As we made our way to Duel Academy, it became apparent that one of our group had managed to slip away - the guy with the distinctive blue spiky hair. If he was going to skip out on this event, then I was definitely following suit. I wasn't able to get a chance to slip away.

Upon arriving at the school, it was clear that the entire student body was present. Chancellor Sheppard took the stage and began his speech, but I found myself tuning out until I felt a sharp elbow in my side. I turned to see an Egyptian girl giving me a questioning look.

"Why did you do that?"

The Egyptian girl pointed out, "Because Chancellor Sheppard calling your name."

" How do you know my name? I haven't even introduced myself."

The Egyptian girl: "Because Professor Thelonious Viper told us about each other when we got on the ship. You wasn't paying attention at that time ether. Before you ask for my name is Isis Ishtar. Now go up there!"

Ouch that girl got some power behind her. As I walked up to the stage as the floor got quiet. I smiled and waved.

Female Student: " He is handsome but why does he look creepy at the same time?"

Chazz Princeton: "He doesn't look tough. I bet I can beat him with my eyes closed."

Tyranno Hassleberry: " I wouldn't say that. He giving me the the Heebie-jeebies.

As my instincts warning me to stay away."

Chancellor Sheppard: "Now from the Egyptian branch. Isis Ishtar."

Isis walked up the stage. As I can hear many boy students going wild on her.

Syrus Truesdale: " I think I'm in love. She even beat my dark magician girl in beauty."

Chazz Princeton: " Yeah right, like a pip, squeak like you would a chance with her. Let the Chazz man take the shot."

Ojama yellow: " What about me boss?"

Chazz Princeton: " Not even in a million years."

Chancellor Sheppard:"Now from the North Academy, Jesse Anderson... Jesse Anderson."

I started to hear some student chat about Jesse Anderson. Hmm, crystal beast deck. Interesting. But my deck is better isn't that right you guys. As my deck closed but notice couple of people looking at my deck. They see it too.

The door suddenly open up loadly.

Jesse Anderson:" I'm here everyone! I'm sorry I'm late! This school is huge and I got lost."

Jaden Yuki: " Oh it's you."

Chancellor Sheppard :"Everyone calm down. Please welcome Jesse Anderson to the stage."

The student clapped around.

Chancellor Sheppard: "Now let me introduce Professor Thelonious Viper who will be helping at the Academy this year."

Professor Thelonious Viper started to give his speech. I just didn't pay attention to it until he said there would be a couple of duels to showcase us vs. the school at the start. He called Jesse Anderson and Jaden Yuki for a pair, then called a 2nd one. Myself vs. someone named Chazz Princeton since he wants to keep talking while Professor Thelonious Viper talked. Must have been a punishment for me not listening or the Chazz guy talking too much. Hopefully he's strong enough to get rid of my boredom. As all four of us went up to Professor Thelonious Viper. He put white bands on us.

As we walked to the dueling area. It was decided my duel goes first.

Chazz Princeton: "Let me show you all that champions don't stand a chance against the Chazz."

" "Haha, who talks like that? I can trash talk too.You might be entertaining enough for me. Hopefully, you can stand it, or you should be a clown with that talk."

Chazz Princeton: "I'll show you. Time to duel!"

Chazz Princeton: 4000 LP

Thanatos Crevan: 4000 LP

"Go ahead and go first, Chazzy."

Chazz Princeton: "It is Chazz! Don't mind if I do. I already got this duel in the bag. I play Polymerization to fuse my Ojama Black and Ojama Yellow to summon Ojama Knight in defense mode."

Chazz Princeton: "My Ojama Knight effect activates. I get to select up to two of your Monster Card Zones to block. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, the selected zones cannot be used."

Two old Ojamas took two of my monster zones.

Chazz Princeton: "Then I set 2 cards face down and end my turn."

"My turn to draw."

Chazz Princeton: "Hold it there, I activate my face-down trap card, Ojama Trio. This baby lets me place 3 "Ojama Tokens" (Beast-Type/LIGHT/Level 2/ATK 0/DEF 1000) on your field in Defense Position. They cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon, and each time one is destroyed, its controller takes 300 damage. Now you don't have any monster zones to use. Good luck getting around that during your turn."

Jaden Yuki: "Looks like that guy is in a rough spot. He might lose before being able to show his deck."

Jesse Anderson: "I wouldn't count on it. I heard he has a one-of-a-kind deck like myself. We don't know what he can pull from it."

Adrian Gecko: "I heard his deck is called Mementotlan."

Jim Crocodile Cook: "Looks like we're about to find out, mates."

"That's cute. Do you think this will stop me? I activate my spell card Dark hole. It destroys all monsters on both sides of the field"

Chazz Princeton: " What! You have that rare card?!"

Thanatos Crevan: 4000LP-900= 3100 from the Ojama tokens.

" Then I summon Mementotlan Dark Blade in attack mode.

Mementotlan Dark Blade: " Who is our enemy?! I will cut and slice them up."

Jaden and Jesse: ( It talked. He has spirit cards and can talk to them too?)

" I activate Mementotlan Dark Blade first effect. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: I can discard 1 "Memento" card, then target 1 Spell/Trap you controls and destroy it."

Chazz Princeton: " Not so fast. I activate my trap card to chain it. Ring of destruction. The target is your Monster. We both will lose life points equal to it's attack points."

" I chain as well with my quick play spell card. Mementotlan Bone Party. I can Destroy 1 "Memento" monster in my hand or face-up field, take 1 "Memento" monster from my Deck with a different name, and either add it to my hand or Special Summon it in Defense Position. Your ring of destruction miss it's target"

Chazz Princeton: " Say what!"

" You heard right Chazzy. Mementotlan Dark Blade. Your sacrifice will not be in vain."

Mementotlan Dark Blade node his head.

"I summon from my deck Mementotlan Angwitch in defense mode."

Mementotlan Angwitch flew around and winked at the attendance. Then looked at Chazz.

Mementotlan Angwitch: "Who am I putting a spell on this time? That boy is too ugly compared to my Thanatos."

"I activate Mementotlan Angwitch's first effect. When she is Normal or Special Summoned: I can add 1 "Memento" monster from my Deck to my hand, except herself. I add Mementotlan Tatsunootoshigo. Then if I do not control any face-up monsters, other than "Memento" monsters: I can Special Summon this card from my hand."

Mementotlan Tatsunootoshigo: "Nah, hopefully I don't fall apart in front of the attendance."

Mementotlan Tatsunootoshigo: "Here we go again."

In the stands:

Jaden Yuki: "What is he doing by destroying and sending monsters to his graveyard?"

Jesse Anderson: "I don't know. I don't like the feeling I'm getting from what he is doing. Something big is coming."

Isis Ishtar: "He is definitely planning something with that big smile going on his face. I don't like it."

"I send Mementotlan Angwitch, Mementotlan Mace, and Mementotlan Goblin to the graveyard."

Chazz Princeton: "What's the point of sending all those monsters to the graveyard?"

"Chazzy boy, it's because all rituals need to be set up correctly before they do something. Here are the results. I will bring back Mementotlan Mace, Mementotlan Angwitch, Mementotlan Goblin, Mementotlan Dark Blade, and Mementotlan Tatsunootoshigo from my graveyard to my deck. To summon the almighty Mementoal Tecuhtlica - Combined Creation from my hand."

Dark music sounds combined with drums playing. The ground rumbles.

A big bone dragon shows up from the ground, with a rainbow of colors. The audience gasps and stays silent.

Chazz Princeton: "5000 attack points and defense! I've never heard of a wyrm type or this monster. What is it?"

"To me, it is the beginning, but for you, it is the end. Mementoal Tecuhtlica, attack him directly."

Chazz Princeton: "Nooo!"

Chazz Princeton's life points hit zero.

"I hope my next opponents are stronger. I didn't show all my stuff yet. Yawn, I'm ready for a nap."

Turn around to leave. Head to the exit to go to the dorms we will be staying at, while the audience watches me leave.
