Waking up in the morning I stretched and got up, turning to my side I saw my duel disk with my deck loaded into it. Getting up, I walked to my bathroom and washed my face and took a light shower, before changing into my school uniform.
Looking in the mirror stood a 5'7'' boy, with wheat colored hair and golden eyes. My skin was clear and smooth while my physic was slightly lean yet muscular, I was even proud to say I had a six pack. On the topic of my phasic it seemed all my body's functions seemed to be boosted from my senses to my metabolism, even my liver.
In terms of my clothing I was wearing, I was wearing yellow boots, dark grey jeans and an alternate version of the the Ra Yellow jacket over a form fitting black shirt, which you could see the outline of my abs through, a personal choice.
Admiring my looks I picked up my duel disk and put it on, although my duel disk looked like the older modal used in the original series of Yugioh, it still looked good. I was offered a newer modal for students by the school, but I declined, making up some excuse about it having sentimental value or something.
Checking the time, it was 7:00am since I had made a habit of waking up early I usually had a lot of extra time in the morning. Deciding to explore the campus and find all my classes before hand, I headed off to the academy.
Walking around I ran into Crowler who greeted me.
''Oh, Illumi my boy! What brings you here so early?'' He asked in a happy tone.
''I usually wake up early, so I thought I might as well look around the campus and find all my classes, ahead of time.'' I answered and Crowler seemed satisfied with my answer.
''Hahaha! As you should, it's rare finding such a studious attitude even among some of the Obelisk Blue students!'' He exclaimed in an approving tone.
''Then I'll be on my way, Dr. Crowler. See you in class.'' I said with a slight bow, it seemed he liked praise as much as he liked being addressed as doctor.
''Alright my boy, see you in class! Oh and a piece of advice; it's best not to hang around those Slifer Slackers, they'll rub off on you.'' He said with a hint of venom in his mouth when mentioning the Slifer students, nodding my head I went on my way.
Soon I had walk around campus and familiarized myself with it faster than I had expected.
Did my memory get boosted too?... I pondered.
But suddenly I was interrupted by a quite and muffled voice.
''ma---- --n --- --ar -e''
My head snapping up and looking from side to side in an attempt to find the source of the noise, but I couldn't find it. Confused I shook my head and continued my walk.
''It must have been my imagination...'' I muttered and turned my attention to the time. It was already about 7:50 and some students where beginning to walk around the campus so I decided to head to class even if I was a little early.
...
Walking through the classroom doors, I walked into Doctor Crowler's classroom, which was my first period. Yesterday I had confirmed I was in the same class with Jaden and Syrus so I wasn't too worried about getting involved with the antagonist in the main story.
Looking around not a lot of people where here yet but it made sense, after all everyone in this class are first years, other then the honor students like Bastion and Alexis the only other people who'd show up early are Alexis fan club.
The people who where already in class, that I knew where Alexis and Bastion. Walking down the stairs Alexis noticed me and waved at me, I waved back with a smile and the two girls sitting beside Alexis... Mindy and Jasmine I think, started to gossip with Alexis after seeing me.
Walking over to Bastion, I noticed he was reading some book on... advanced summoning theory? Shaking my head I snuck behind him and while he was in grossed in his book, I jump from behind him, grabbing his shoulders and said the scariest thing a math nerd could think of.
''zero divided by zero!'' I said and it seemed to work as Bastion threw his book in the air and screamed.
''AHHH!'' He screamed and turned around to see me laughing. With a light cough, he regained his bearings and addressed me.
''Cough That was not funny...'' Bastion stated with a serious look on his face.
''Sorry, sorry...'' I said in surrender, taking the seat beside him. Looking around it seemed we had gotten everyone in class's attention, as everyone had a surprised look on their face, except Alexis who was shaking her head with a tired expression, probably reminded of when I did that to her.
''...and seriously 0 divided by 0?'' Bastion asked, looking at me oddly.
''What else would a nerdy person be afraid of?'' I asked back defending myself, causing Bastion to just sigh. I had done this once before to Bastion so he was kind of used to it.
''I wouldn't be afraid of an illogical math equation...'' Bastion mumbled.
''So what are you afraid of, Goldbach's conjecture, Riemann's hypothesis, Fermat's Last Theorem?'' I asked rapidly in succession and Bastion became over whelmed.
''Um... ah...'' Bastion struggled to respond and fell into deep thought, I smiled as I had successfully made him short circuit and sneaked away, going towards the general area where Jaden and Syrus sat in the anime.
Soon enough the room started to fill up and Jaden and Syrus eventually made it to class a few minutes before it started. Rushing to the front, they sat beside me, Syrus sat to my left and Jaden sat on Syrus's other side.
After talking a little bit, Dr. Crowler started the class. Giving a once over on the class he began the class introducing himself and his achievements. After that he started talking about duel monster cards, and their types.
''Now can anyone tell me about the type of cards in duel monster and their categories?'' He asked and after taking a look around the class turned to one of his students.
''Alexis Rhodes, can you answer the question, dear?'' He asked with a smile and Alexis nodded getting up and giving a novel answer.
''Duel monster cards can be grouped into normal monster card, fusion monster cards, ritual monster cards, effect monster cards, trap cards and spell cards. Trap cards can be divided into normal traps, counter trap and continuous traps. Spell cards can be separated into normal spells, continuous spells, equip spells, quick play spells, ritual spells, and field spells.'' Alexis answers giving a textbook answer.
''Perfect!~ Well done, Alexis. Of course I wouldn't expect anything less from one of my blue obelisks.'' Crowler said with a satisfied tone, taking an unconscious jab at Ra Yellow and Slifer Red students.
''Yes, Dr. Crowler.'' Replied Alexis before taking a seat.
''Hmm, now who should we question next?'' Crowler mumbled while looking around the room and stopping at Syrus.
''You, Syrus Truesdale!'' Crowler singled out and Syrus nervously stood up besides me.
''Explain to the class what a field spell is, please.'' Crolwer asked and Syrus nervously mumbled around not being able to answer.
''Umm... umm... a field spell is the thing... that affects the thing, that...'' Syrus tried to explain but nervously stuttered over himself.
Suddenly someone threw a jab at him and a few people started laughing.
''No, I know! it's... umm...'' Syrus tried to deny but his cheeks flushed and he couldn't speak properly.
''Relax Sy, you totally got this.'' Jaden pitched in and I nodded, but it seemed Crowler had enough of his mumbling.
''I think not, sit down. Now will someone please give me the answer? Preferably someone not wearing red, thank you.'' Crowler said and Syrus sat down in shame. Though I could kind of understand Crowler, although Syrus had severe social anxiety, that question was something anyone should be able to answer.
''You know something teach? You really shouldn't go and make fun of us Slifers like that. I mean, I'm a Slifer and I beat you, so when you make fun of us, your really making fun of yourself!'' Jaden chipped in and a vein popped up on Crowler's head.
I sighed to myself and shook my head. This is exactly why Crowler kept trying to get Jaden expelled. Deciding to mediate for Jaden and hopefully placate some of Crowler's rage, I swatted Jaden's head and he bent down and grabbed it.
''Ouch!'' Jaden said holding onto his head and Crowler seemed to be a little less mad.
''Don't piss off the professor, Jaden.'' I said to him and turned to Crowler after receiving a nod of confirmation from Jaden.
''Sorry, Dr. Crowler. Syrus is just a little shy when it comes to crowds, but he knows the answer.'' I stated and apologized in Jaden's stead. Seeming to be a little more understanding, he nodded and turned to Syrus to answer again.
''Um!'' Syrus seemed a little bit nervous, but I nudged him with my elbow and reassured him.
''You got it, Syrus. Just focus on the professor and no one else. You know the answer!'' I reassured with a smile on my face and he gave a resolved nod. Getting up Syrus answered the question, this time not stuttering as much.
''U-um... A field spell is a type of spell played in the field zone. It's effects vary, but on average affects entire field, either your side or the opponent side as well. Usually field spells just increasing the attack and/or defense of monsters with a certain type, attribute, or archetype. B-but they can do other stuff...'' Syrus answered up to what he could in front of everybody and sat back down.
Crowler hearing his answer gave a satisfied nod and turned towards the class.
''There was a few things you could touch up on, but you've captured the essence of it.'' Crowler said with a nod and turned towards the class to ask about the next type of card.
Syrus on the other hand smiled happily and mumbled 'I did it' with his hands clenched. He seemed really happy, good for him.
Jaden who saw this also smiled slightly but quickly grasped the top of his head in pain.
...did I hit him too hard, I wondered.
Deciding to buy him something to eat later, I snickered. During our next class, duel alchemy, professor Banner thought us and I was reminded he was a good/bad guy. Though I didn't put much importance on it as I picked up Pharaoh in my lap and pet him throughout the class. It seemed he liked me, maybe it was another perk from my body, I thought. But I didn't complain, any ability that makes it so cats actively search you out for head pats is a plus in my book!
When class ended, it seemed Pharaoh didn't want to leave me as it hissed at anyone who tried to pull him away from me, even professor Banner, which greatly surprised him.
''It's rare for Pharaoh to take to someone new this much.'' He said with his unique accent and I strained a smile.
''So what do we do?'' I asked and after a moment professor Banner came up with an answer.
''Can you take him with you for today? I'll tell the other teachers in advance, so not to cause trouble.'' Banner asked and my smile strained further, seeing this he added.
''Just until we can figure something out. I'll even give you a few DP for taking care of Pharaoh.'' He offered and I began feeling bad.
''You don't have to pay me, I'll take care of him.'' I sighed and he seemed appreciative.
''Wonderful!'' He said and Pharaoh seemed to also agree.
''Meow!'' Pharaoh meowed in delight, quickly removing himself from my leg and jumping to the table and then to my shoulder. A feat of athleticism, I wasn't expecting from such a tubby cat.
Both me and professor Banner broke into laughter at Pharaoh's antics.
''Alright, I appreciate this.'' Banner said and I nodded heading off to my next class.
Throughout the rest of the day, Pharaoh sat or slept near me for nearly the entirety of every class, until P.E.
Walking into the boys locker room me and Jaden started changing. Taking off my shirt to reveal my chiseled body and defined six pack, Jaden exclaimed in awe.
''Woah Illumi, your jacked!'' Jaden said in surprise staring at my six pack. Looking around, it seemed a lot of people where staring at my muscles, some at my biceps, others at my pecks, many at my six pack, one even at my crotch... wait what.
Well one thing in common was everyone showing either an expression of awe or jealousy, except one but I'm going to stay far away from that one...
''What did you do to get like that!'' Jaden asked with stars in his eyes. Many people around us leaned in closer for my response.
''Well... just a healthy diet and an active daily routine.'' I answered and covered up my chest with my gym shirt.
Quickly changing, I picked up Pharaoh who was resting near my legs and checked myself in the mirror. The uniform for P.E. was a full white and blue track suit; a white track jacket with blue sleaves, fully blue track pants and white shoes.
Although it seemed my track jacket was a little small for my body, it wasn't a problem about the length, it was just too tight, though the pants where fine.
Going up to the teacher I tapped her shoulder.
''Excuse me.'' I asked and she turned around
''Hi there, what can I help yo-'' She asked but when she turned around she saw a boy her height and with a tight track suit, pressing against his chest.
Regaining her bearings, she wiped a bit of drool from her chin and asked again, but this time in a cutesy tone and twirling her one long bang.
''Hi there, what can I do for ya? I'm Fonda Fontaine by the way, but you can just call me Fon *wink*.'' She introduced herself taking a step closer to me and staring into my eyes.
Straining a smile I took a step back and coughed before replying.
''Cough cough... Well... Mrs.Fon, my-'' I tried to speak but she cut me off.
''Please, Fon is just fine. I'm not old enough to be called a Mrs. yet!'' She said with a cutesy tone.
''right... Mr- Fon, my jacket seems a little to tight.'' I said pointing to my jacket and she her eyes fell on my chest.
''I can tell...'' She mumbled, but I heard her clearly, due to my enhanced hearing, it's just... did I want to hear that?
''You know I'm 15, right?'' I finally asked flabbergasted at her actions.
''And I'm 15 at heart.'' She quipped and I couldn't help but become speechless.
Shaking my head, I gave up and got back on topic.
''Well anyways, I was wondering if I could get a bigger size?'' I asked and my she seemed displeased at the thought of me wearing baggy cloths, after taking sometime to think with her hand on her chin, she finally answered.
''Alright, I'll get you a different jacket next class, for now just participate without your jacket.'' She said as she stuck her hand out, waiting for my jacket.
Belatedly I took it off, displaying my chiseled body under my tight black T-shirt for the world to see. Taking in my physic Fonda took out her phone and quickly took a picture and put her phone away.
''...''
''Did you just take a picture...'' I asked staring at her disgustedly.
''I don't know what you mean?'' She said tilting her head, deflecting my question.
''...'' Unable to find the words I walked back to the group of boys, some looking at me with envy in their eyes. Standing beside the the innocent Jaden I stared off into space... was I just harassed...? I feel dirty...
''Where's Sy?'' Jaden asked, ignoring my inner turmoil, and I was reminded of the short blue haired guy...
Suddenly remembering something I involuntarily cursed.
''Shit...'' I cursed and Jaden rebuked me.
''Cussing's a bad habit.'' Jaden said like some cartoon characters talking to the audience.
''Scheiße.'' I rephrased.
''What?'' Jaden asked dumbly, not understanding the language.
''Neverminded. Just... if something happens to Syrus or he gets in any trouble, let me know ok?'' I asked tiredly and Jaden nodded, cluelessly.
''I don't know if he'll get in any trouble, but you can count on me!'' Jaden said.
After that we continued P.E. with a the P.E. instructor, Fonda, hitting on me hear and their. After a while I just stopped feeling weird about it and took it as a compliment, it felt oddly flattering. Though to be fair, the only other adults here in her strike zone would be some one like Zane. However Zane was... Zane...
On another note, Pharaoh who was usually on my shoulder was taking a nap at the side. It seemed he was tired out from today and I could probably return him after class... if I can keep him asleep.
Luckily by the end of it, Pharaoh was still asleep. So I in my genius, placed Pharaoh gently in a bag and asked Jaden to take it to professor Banner without telling him. It'll either end really good or really bad... for Jaden.
Either way, comedy gold.
