Your world is our world?

This is a story about a wolf... Well she's actually a Werewolf who only knows the life of a wolf. Until now. When she turned 18 with no mate, she was kicked out of her pack. This is their pack law. If she survives a year on her own she will be able to come back, since she will then be of some value. But wolves are not supposed to survive on there own. It's up to her how she goes about living, either blend in with the humans or stay hidden from other packs. Choosing to live among the humans she is greeted by an arrogant guy and his friends. Who she defiantly doesn't try her best to blend in with other humans, when they are around. Can she keep her secret or will she find herself being hunted down? Or maybe there's another question that needs to be answered. Who is this arrogant guy?

Chapter 4: "Blending in"

Time skip to Lunch break~

Getting up from my seat, I walked out of the classroom. We stay in the same room for every lesson but every hour we get a new teacher who will teach us a different subject. Up to now, the teachers have welcomed me individually, they seem nice. It's just a bit repetitive and not to mention awkward. Lining up to get food, I waited with one earphone in my ear, playing music.

It didn't take long to get the food which was mostly all meat and a bottle of water.... I couldn't help the fact I'm greedy for meat it's my natural instinct. Anyway, people would just think I have a strange diet or something. I continued eating my meal, alone. I never knew a phone would be so useful. Maureen, the kind old lady, had bought me a phone. So that I would fit in with the people of my age, I still didn't know how to use it though. I only knew how to listen to music and contact people, but that was good enough for me.

When I had finished, I took my tray back and walked back through the middle of the hall. Suddenly, seeing the person in front of me get tripped up by an outstretched foot they started to fall. But since it happened so quickly and unexpectedly, I couldn't catch them in time. To make matters a whole lot worse, their arm had gotten caught up in the wire of my earphones, dragging the music out of my ears. But thankfully, my tray didn't fall to the floor as I held it up away from us both.

I first gathered my earphones as that was a top priority for me, but I quickly helped the girl up.

"You okay?" I asked but she seemed shaken and I could tell she had hit her head. When I looked up at the table I saw those 4 again, and the one who had tripped her up was no other than Neo himself. Why were they like this?

I narrowed my eyes at him, out of anger I lunged forward and slammed my tray in front of him. Without knowing I grabbed the collar of Neo's shirt.

"Stop being an ass and grow up." I threatened, he didn't flinch he just stared into my eyes and smirked.

"Hey! New girl who do you think you are?!" Lucy had raised off her chair and started yapping at me, I turning my head to her and slightly snarled as humanly possible,

"Pipe down chihuahua."

I roughly let go of Neo's collar and turned my attention back onto the girl. Surprisingly the other girl, Maria, had come over and we both took her out of the hall. Leaving my tray for them to clean up.

"Is she in our class?" I asked and Maria nodded.

"Yes.. she gets bullied a lot by Neo and the others because she sits in front of them. I don't get picked on as much but Lucy tends to boss me around a lot..we used to be friends." Maria spoke with a sad tone.

Maria had taken us to the nurse's office and she told me a lot about that group. Apparently, the 4 of them have been friends from a very young age and were treated differently because their families have lots of influence over the town. As well as a lot of money which is why they think they are better than everyone else, it doesn't help that they get away with it either. Money seems to be a keyword for humans since it's what gives you status. Whereas in a pack it would be the physical strength and the one who can show leadership who would be given the rankings.

She also warned me that my actions towards Neo would have an effect and that I should be careful, I laughed at that but she only looked at me with a more worried expression. After the nurse told us that the girl would be okay, I finally got to learn her name, Katie. I made a promise to her that I would take her seat in class from now on so that it would limit her chances of getting picked on.

For some reason these two humans had elements that my mother and my brothers had when I was in the pack, I wanted to protect them. While I was there I also asked the nurse to check my injured wrist, as that was the one I used to grab Neo's shirt with, I'm not gonna lie it still hurts a lot when I use it.

I told the old lady what had happened too. She told me it wasn't broken and that I have just severely torn and strained the muscles.... With maybe one or two liniments broken. She said it would take a maximum of 6 weeks to heal properly.

The nurse suggested I should see a doctor but I heal faster than humans and if they took samples of my blood or even listened to my heartbeat, they would know something was wrong. I didn't tell her that. Instead, I agreed with a nod of my head. Walking back to class, the girls had asked me about my wrist but I just told them I fell off my bed. Opening the door to our classroom, I grabbed my bag and swapped with Katie's place.

".....Wait...WHAAT?! WHY ARE YOU SITTING THERE?!?" Lucy started to yell defensively.

"Can you please keep it down, you give me a headache." I said back, feeling no happier than she felt. Katie's seat was next to the wall and one seat down from the last row. I was basically in the same place just on the opposite side of the room. With no nice view of the forest...

Behind me was Zack, next to him was Lucy and then the guy who I think is called Jay if I remember right, he doesn't speak much but he answered to the name Jay on the registration, so that's how I guessed. He was also the guy who spoke rudely to Maria this morning. Then you have Neo who sits next to Katie's chair, which is now my chair.

I was already in a tone of pain, from using my hand before and I wasn't lying when I said I had a headache either. I rested my head on the table and huffed out a sigh, leaving my arms to dangle at my sides. Feeling a consistent pulsation of pain, reminded me of how much I regretting not using my brain in that situation.

"What happened to your badass fighting spirit from before?" Zack whispered as the class had already started again, I glanced over my shoulder at him.

"Very funny." I said sarcastically, only to catch Neo's eyes glaring at me as I went to turn around to face the front.

"What?" I asked him rudely, only for him to grin and say,

"Have we met before? Your eyes and voice are very familiar to me." I just stared at Neo and it was only then I heard the teacher say my name.

"LARS! I've been calling your name for ages now, please pay attention, answer this question on the board." The teacher said and I slowly sat up to straighten my posture, wait what lesson am I in right now? Looking at the board I tilted my head. Oh, geography? Thank god, this should be fine.

Getting up, I walked to the front.

"Which question?" I asked, it looked like it was a map type of question... about this country. I looked at the question in disgust, why write it so complex? Do they want students to fail and get bad grades?!?

"Well if you can do it all by yourself, then you are welcome to do it all." She spoke with a smile.

Picking out parts of the question I knew, it was asking where a certain type of biome was lived. To get the answer to how they were asking, you needed to figure out and compare different locations of the land before concluding. Fortunately, I have been to many places and this was about a certain plant, which I know of because I lived there.

"The answer is mainly in the North but they are also a few in the North West," I said simply.

"How do you know that? Did you guess?" She asked I shook my head,

"

"No, look at the answer booklet and the answer will be the same," I said and walked back to my seat and sat down.

Closing my eyes again I waited until the teacher found the answer.

"Ohh! Well done Lars have you been to that part of the country? Normally they pick biomes where no one lives or travel to. That's why you have to do so much explaining and comparing." She said scratching her head slightly confused. My eyes slightly widened at her statement. They do?

"Right.. well...my family own a...caravan..(?)..so we travel a lot, but right now... I'm living with my Grandma." I said with a small smile at the end. I'm not good at lying and I'm even worse when I'm put on the spot. Thankfully I saved myself from the teacher (I think) but Neo had probably gotten more suspicious about me. I hope he wasn't serious about the whole pet thing.
