5 Chapter 5- Regrets follows selflessness

Jin was ferocious to know what his uncle had done to his child, and he decided to take revenge. "I will never let him see Qian Mu again. Even if he comes and begs me."

A man walked into the lobby and found Jin sitting with his head down, glued to the floor but lost in his world. This blonde-haired man was dressed in a custom-made suit. His forehead was wrinkled up, and his handsome, friendly-looking face was troubled with the sight of his friend sitting in frustration.

Jin looked up as he sensed the man and called out his name, revealing his fatigue and frustration, "William!!! How come you are here? It's late."

William stepped toward him and avoided the chaos in the hospital. He took a seat, put his palm on Jin's shoulder, and said, "It is never late in London."

"Sheng told me about your cousin. I rushed here to comfort you. But I never thought you would be in this condition." His voice turned deeper as he spoke further, "I have never seen you like this since I met you."

"What do you mean? That I was too sensitive and lost my composure over a little boy?" Jin asked, annoyed with him.

"Nothing! It's good that you know. I just don't want you to be carried away in emotions."

Jin moved his hand away and said, "He is my cousin, after all. He is the only child of my uncle for now. He needs to carry the bloodline of my uncle. So what if he is a jerk."

William chuckled and said, "I didn't know you would talk like an old mandarin woman. Being paranoid about bloodline."

Jin grabbed him by his collar and said, "Don't you dare mock me for this!"

William could not stop smiling, "Okay! Okay! I won't. Let go of me!"

Jin left him and sat back, taking a long breath, "Why are you so worried about all this bloodline thing? You did not believe in all this before."

Qian Jin gave him a cold stare, making William zip up his gossiping mouth. A few minutes passed, and Jin spoke out of the blue, "I never believed in all this nonsense and never listened to my grandfather. He was alive and wanted me to get married to a girl of his liking. For the same, He used to throw taunts at me, that I was supposed to carry the blood of my Qian family and have many children. I found it weird. Maybe because I was shy.

You will find it strange when my uncle was supposed to get married. My grandfather showered him with pictures of beautiful women. Each was powerful, independent, or belonged to a strong family. He did not mind the nationality but kept pushing him with blind dates until he married my late aunt.

I thought I would experience the same thing, so I distanced myself from him. However, Every time we met, He would ask me to look at a young lady's photo, and ask if I would; he always carried his diary.

I asked him to show me after several convincing. But then he refused to show and asked if I would look at the girl. I must marry her in any case."

"You tell me, How can I? What if the girl is not my type?" He looked at William after pouring his complaints.

William gave a faint smile at him and asked, showing feign curiosity, "What is your type then?"

Qian Jin thumped his shoulder, and William almost lost his balance, "What??"

"Don't tell me you love me?" He squeezed Jin's cheek, pulled them, pressed them again, and said, "You look like a Gold Fish, Jin."

He pushed William and said, "I am serious."

William tried to hold in his laughter and then kept quiet for a while. "I wonder what kind of girl she might be? What if you ever have seen her picture? It means your grandfather would not let you marry her forcefully. But if you did, you should marry her no matter if she is a fat, ugly duckling." He mocked him again and received a kick from Jin straight away.

The gloomy morning came, the sun was peeping from the clouds, and the old Doctor went out of the room. He stretched his body and yawned.

"What a sweaty night!" He joked with other doctors, they forced a peal of laughter, but their red eyes revealed otherwise. William was dozing off on the bench. While Jin hurried to the old Doctor and asked, "How is he? Can I meet him?"

The old Doctor looked at him with a weird expression and asked, "Who are you, young man?"

Jin could not believe that the old Doctor was in the mood to joke around. However, he did not bother to say anything else and answered, "I am Jin."

"Can I meet him now?"

"So you are Jin?" The old Doctor shook his hand with Jin and said, "Hello, I am Aladdin."

Qian Jin pulled his hand back and said, "Doctor?? How is my cousin?"

"Jasmine raised him to be a fine man. Even I have not seen your cousin for a long time." The Doctor spoke, hardly holding his laughter.

The doctors beside him were faking their laughter as hard as they could. They could not stand the growing temperature of Qian Jin, and neither could they offend their chairman.

"Doctor, I am Qian Jin and my cousin who you were treating all night. How is he?"

"Can I meet him?" Qian Jin gritted.

"Oh! Your son! He is fine now. Let these doctors take care of him for a few days."

He took a breath of relief and went inside to take a look. The temperature of the room was quite hot. The doctors were putting away the blankets and heaters.

Qian Mu was still unconscious. Jin held his little arm and kissed his forehead, he then closed his eyes, praying to the Omnipotent for his quick recovery.

William opened his eyes and saw the rush in the hospital. "I have never seen such chaos in normal wards lobby. My friend has gone crazy."

He walked inside the hot room and saw a breathtaking moment of cousins. He took out his phone and clicked a photo, "I will tease him with this later." He mumbled.

Qian Mu slowly opened his eyes and applied a little effort to pull his hand away from Jin's huge bony hands. "Who are you?"

Jin opened his eyes at the soft voice of his little cousin, "I...I...I am your cousin, Your brother." He said as his face filled with joy.

"Did you save me?" He spoke in a soft tone. He was blinking, his half-open eyes. Jin nodded with a smile as water filled his eyes.

"I was scared." The little child Qian Mu started crying as he sat up and hugged Jin with his little hands warmer than the last night. Jin rubbed his back and hugged him tighter. None of them noticed William taking photos of them.

Jin tried hard to hold back his tears, but he did not let one drop be a discouraging tool for his cousin. Finally, Qian Mu looked at him and asked, "Father said I was a nuisance to him. I should die if my bad cousin doesn't take me."

"Your father is the bad guy." Jin blurted out without a second thought.

"You tell me! Am I not here? With You?" He asked, caressing him. Qian Mu nodded with a little smile. "Ge! I heard you getting mad at the doctors last night. Why do you care about me so much? When even my father hates me."

Jin spoke faintly, "Because once I was you." Qian Mu did not understand and wiped the one tear that fell from his eyes while he said that.

"Anyway, don't get mad anymore at other people. I know it hurts to be scolded." Jin nodded as he looked at his cousin's eyes which reminded him of his grandfather.

William jumped into the conversation and mimicked Qian Mu, "Oh, it hurts to get scolded. Don't scold anyone. Oh!!!! HEY! little one! What are you? his girlfriend?"

Qian Mu looked blank and asked Jin," Do you also have a girlfriend like my father? Will you abandon me for her?"

Jin hurried to explain and said, "No, I don't have one. I will never get a girlfriend who will make me abandon you."

A pinch of happiness spread across his face, and he spoke excitedly, "Okay! I will get you a girlfriend who likes me and you both."

William burst into laughter and said, "You two will share a girlfriend now? Should I introduce some to you? Little Master Qian, What type do you like?"

Jin threw a cotton roll at him and scolded, "Get Out!"
