“Mom?”
“What’re you doin here!” I asked, staring at mom with my wide eyes as she was standing ahead of my hotel suite. My mother, Charlotte Redmayne is a woman of her own principle. But not when it comes to me. Opposite to my dad James Redmayne, who usually can’t tolerate my action, he is assured I’m a good for nothing son.
“Why even ask!,” Mom replied, exaggerating.
“Come inside!” My dad announced in his hoarse voice.
“Dad is here also,” I mumbled.
“Of Course, We’ve to take business appointments to meet my own son,” she poured her vexation with a wan face.
“Really mom,” I mumbled and entered the room.
“Evening! dad,” I said, in a mild tone, enough to be heard by him only.
"Sit," he said, shifting his gaze towards the couch of my suite.
“See…. this is the Great Gulf Project,” he said, sliding a tablet towards me.
“A mall over an island, that’s beautiful,” I mumbled, as the slide showed a giant blue mall over the island, which I owned.
“It’s a 4 billion euros project,” he said, trying to make me understand the importance of the topic.
“Ahm! Okay,” I mumbled, putting the tablet down.
“JK enterprises, want to collaborate with us,”
“Dad, why’re you telling me now?” I asked cutting him off.
“I mean! You’ve never discussed anything…,”
“Because, they’re your in-laws,” he said, cutting me off.
“In… In laws…. Mine” I stammered with a pale face.
“Yes, announce your engagement, you’re already twenty-seven, this is the right time,” he replied.
“But dad….,”
“And if you don’t want me to throw you out of my family and this industry, stop being a nuisance and come back home after this project,” he announced and stood up, to leave the room, without even giving me a chance to speak.
“Dad!… Dad!,” I said, after me.
He shut the door hardly, ignoring my effort.
“Hell!” I screeched, throwing my jacket on the floor.
“I won’t let you control me this time dad, as I’ve my plans this time,” I said scoffing.
I took my phone out of my Jean's pocket.
“Send me a wine,” I said, dialing to Noah.
“Now!” he replied.
“I’m going to take shower, and before I’m done, it should be here,” I said, hanging up on him.
