Chapter VI - My Strawberries, The Foundation
"Noah! Noah! Wake up!" Noah looked up with a tired look at the two who's been jumping on chest and bed 30 minutes ago.
"Older Brother told us that if you wake up early today, he will give you 2 bowls of Candied Strawberries! " Noah let a few seconds go to process the new information on his awake yet sleepy head, the twins smiled in a cheeky way as their teacher who is always fast at answering questions without a single pause is now slowly processing the information and is actually not a morning person.
"Noah's head must be slow " they both said in union as they went down the bed. As soon as they got down, Noah shot up from his bed and looked directly at the both of them with sparkles floating around him. He then eagerly asked them, "Is that true?! Your not kidding right?!" yet he looks so funny and lovely at the same time with his disheveled and newly awoken appearance.
"Yeah! That's why we have to hurry! We only have 2 minutes left!" With that said, Noah quickly took his riding clothes and put them on in the separate bathroom and not even a second was he already dressed!
"How are you getting ready so fast?" they asked. Noah was fixing his crooked cravat, "Magic, specifically Wind spirits "He said as he grabbed both the twins by wind magic and opened the door with wind spirits.
"You two better brace yourselves!" He warned as they flew towards the Dining room, "Wait! This is too fast!" they said as they both screamed.
"If your a mage, this is the mid-slow flight magic you can use." He explained as he told the wind spirits to open the door to the room. The Guards were startled and flew away from the doors while Kevin stood frozen in place, his pocket watch swaying slightly on his hand as his hair tousled, the sudden wind that flew in front of them were fast as he looked at the poor maids in the hallway that experienced it.
"I didn't expect you to use magic as a way to come here." Vincents' voice came from the place he always sat on.
Noah looked at Vincent first before slowly letting the twins down, "I'm sorry! I'll teach you later how to resist the air speed and pressure, I promise!" He said as he healed the twins of their fatigue as they were unusually pale than their skin color.
[Cure] was a healing spell with lots of uses, but it's only the lowest of healing spells created.
"You were 2 seconds late Iris. " Vincent's sudden declaration froze Noah from his spot, " It was only 2 seconds. " Noah said quietly and slowly walked towards the corner of the room and sat down faced towards the wall. The twins who saw this panicked, and Vincent was also startled.
"He's gonna be like that again, huh?" Vincent said with a sigh and face palm, the two looked curious and asked "Again?" he then stood up and the twins followed, and as they went near and closer to Noah they all started to notice notice some kind of gloomy vines and leaves were growing out of the wall.
"This is what I meant. His feelings affect those who are closer to nature as their clan, Wisteria also has a unique line of ancestry. And because of that, every time he's happy the plants will grow and flourish. But when you gave him negative energy, he will grow these things out of magic. " Vincent explained, not daring to touched the plant.
The Twins observed the plant and found out that the vine like leaves were Poison Oaks and Ivy while the ones on the carpet floor were jequirity beans. They both understood why their Brother didn't dare to move Noah yet.
"This was a miscalculation on my part. It seems like Noah still haven't change that habit of his." Vincent said with a sigh.
"I've seen him only once angry, you wouldn't want him to get angry children. It was a terrible day with a terrible downpour. And what's even more worse is that, we forgot to re-stock Strawberries for Noah and we can't move out until the rain died down. But, it was a nightmare. " He said as nudge Noah on his shoulders, his long sleeve coat act as a barrier for the poisonous leaves..
"We know that Iris is very very fond of strawberries, his Mother specifically asked the Duchess to purchase as many as possible, but when he found out that we don't have strawberries. He went dead quiet." he told them more as he finally grabbed Noah and put him in his chair and placed a bowl of Candied strawberries on his table.
"At first, we thought that he will cry and and throw a fit. But we didn't even noticed the sudden wash of rain in the sky. The wind blew and the rain drops knocked loudly at our window and the sudden flash of thunder was heard and burned one of the largest trees in our forest. " Noah didn't mind the story and just continued to eat his strawberries, his mind was still recovering when the negative energy took control on his mind.
The twins already sat when Vincent placed Noah on his lap, he already removed his coat and burned it and also his gloves and took another pair of gloves he has. "Then, does that mean that Noah was the one who caused that?" They asked in union.
Vincent only nodded his head as he recalled that how many days they all endure to satisfy Noah's tendency to rampage when his mood sudden fell in such level. "I would advice you not to touch that plant, they're extremely poisonous and would cause a sudden outbreak of rash." He said as he didn't even looked at the maid who pulled back her hands from fear on accidentally touching the poisoned vines. The twins only looked briefly and continued to listen.
"Now now, Iris. Why don't you pull them back now? You know they can't stay in here." Vincent asked in a carefree tone, like he was talking to a child. Noah nodded and directed his right hand towards the wall. [Go Back] The vines slowly crawled back and disappeared.
"Sorry for acting like that." He said with a sincere sorry look at the twins, the twins understand and nodded then looked displeased at their smiling brother. Vincent noticed their glare and purposely got closer to Noah who is still busy eating strawberries with occasional sip of bitter tea.
His actions lead to the twins getting angry, yet they stopped because their teacher smiled at them, "We are going to learn about Origins and Magic foundation later, and a little bit of the Empire's leading figures." He said as he finished the last piece of strawberry and took a bite of a bread slice, the twins already started eating before starting a staring contest with their brother.
"Origins and Magic foundation?" The twins asked while eating their bacon and eggs with hot chocolate for their drink with a separate cup for clean water.
