"Did you kill him? The owner, I mean." Jessie asked in a curious tone.
Viktor turned to her and looked directly at her eyes. He took a second to think before he eventually nodded. He thought that the answer would affect his chances to access the pillar.
When she saw him nod, Jessie raised her eyebrow in surprise. "I see… I knew it. You're not a simple man, aren't you?"
Viktor only responded with a shrug without looking at her again, and Jessie immediately understood that he didn't want to discuss the matter.
The girl went ahead and helped remove the old bracelets before she told Viktor to touch the stone cube.
Right as he did, a bright light shone from the top of the cube, before it swiftly solidified into some letters. The golden letters were reflected on the hand touching the cube, and as they blinked, a new bracelet was formed directly into his wrist.
