Chapter 8 :The phone call

THIRD POV～～～

 Last night was hectic for serene as those brief moments with Lorenzo seemed to bring back memories those she wished she could forget and the ones she knew she couldn't.

 Waking up she walks downstairs and sees her best friend already there eating her breakfast.

 "Morning Nessa"Serene says in that sweet yet empty voice of hers which seemed to lack any real emotions.

 "Morning Rene,you were back late last night were you with that stupid sergio"Vanessa asks the thought of sergio already annoying her.Chuckling at her best friends words serene shakes her head.

 "Nope I was with Lorenzo"She tells her best friend who soon starts coughing and chokes on the piece of omlette.

 "Lo-What"Vanessa asks after her coughing finally calms down and she downs a cup of juice.

 "Lorenzo,the one from school,Angela's brother"She tells her best friend who widens her eyes.

 "You saw lover boy Lorenzo"Vanessasays and looks at serene who smiled at the stupid nickname given to Lorenzo back in school.

 Back then Lorenzo expressed his love for serene so much he was referred to as Lover boy by the whole school.

 "Start spilling you idiot"Vanessa says glaring at serene for hiding something this huge from her.

 Serene starts by telling her how they bumped into each other to their surprise to him inviting her over for dinner and them just talking.

 "Oh mio Dio（my God),So much happened yesterday"Vanessa says gasping and serene just rolls her eyes at her friends dramatic acts.

 "Yes that is what happens,But remember it doesn't spoil the plan"Serene tells vanessa who nods her head agreeing with serene.

 They had both been there and watched what happened three years ago and vanessa would never stop her friend from having that revenge as she witnessed her bestfriend hating herself for months.

 "I am going to the office"She simply says and gets up adjusting her black pencil skirt,walking out she enters a beautiful bugatti cheyron and drives to her office.

 Sitting in her office she takes the phone from the table and rings her assistant.

 "Issa,my office"She says before dropping her phone back.

 going back to working on the documents a knock sounds on her office door and she says a 'come in' and it opens revealing her assistant Issa.

 "Good morning serene"Issabella says to her boss her voice filled with the immense admiration she has for her.

 "Morning Issa,welcome back.have you gotten what I sent you"She asks Issabella reffering to the errand she sent her on.

 "Yes ma'am we found the necklace you wanted and I gave it to miss bella"she says and serene nods her head telling her a thanks.

 "Ok email my schedule to me and you can leave go rest"serene tells her knowing she arrived last night besides she did not need an assistant today as she was going to her dance studio to reharse for the dance.

 Her assistant nods and walks out while Serene gets up and walks to the studio room in her office,connecting the phone to the speakers she starts placing a song and after changing into a pair of leggings and tank top she gets in the mood.

 Closing her eyes she soon starts dancing and while dancing the music and dance seemed to calm her dowm and that was what she loved the calm it brought her.

 she is interrupted by the ringing of her phone and picking it up she realises it is from an unknown number. 

 "Serene di vitto"she says when she presses the answer botton.

 "Cara"A deep voice on the other end says and she smiles slightly.

 "Enzo,it's you.good morning"She says and sits down on the couch in the music room.

 "Morning Cara how was your night"He asks her his voice deep and husky.

 "Wonderful how was yours"she asks him.

 "Tiresome but good I spent it thinking about you"He replies and she laughs at his reply her laugh warming his cold heart as relief seeped in.

 They talked for sometime with serene laughing and enzo chuckling at some things she said while unknowst to serene Lorenzo was in a meeting and he was starting to get angry thus he called her and now hearing her voice he smiled and laughed which scared the men in the room as their face turned pale and some even cleaned sweat off their forehead.

 The call finally ends and Lorenzo's face returns to normal while serene continues her dance.

 After dancing she changes and walks into her office where she meets sergio there sitting on the couch with coffee in his hands.

 "Sergio"serene calls and walks towards him embracing him.

 "Angel,Sorry I don't have much time I have to travel to italy today"He tells her while embracing her.

 "Hmm what happened can I help"she asks him to which he shakes his head saying he can take care of it,Leaving after promising to call once he lands in italy she places a kiss on his cheeks and he walks away.

 suddenly her private phone rings and answering the call a sweet voice says on the other side.

 "MOMMY"
