Chapter 26:Risking his life

SERENE'S POV～

 I wait for the pain of the bullet my body tense and waiting for the familiar sting as the bullet pierces my skin.

 The pain I wait for doesn't come as I feel a sudden weight on my back and the sound of bullet entering the skin is heard.

 Scenting the familiar cologne and the deep voice that grunts my eyes instantly widen and I turn to confirm my suspicious.

 'No,No,No''I whisper my heart beat slowing down at the sight before me,I feel the blood pumping into my viens my ears ringing. My eyes instantly turn bloodshot.

 Turning to look at the idiot who fire that shoot I raise my gun and pull the trigger,my bullet pierces his forehead and he drops dead.

 I scot down holding his body in my arms, my body trembles at the amount of blood gushing out of his wound.

 I know he is stupid but not to this extent,hr should have allowed the bullet to hit me, he should never have entered.

 ''Enzo''I whisper still holding his head to look into his beautiful grey eyes. his eyes start dropping close and I watch how he tries to control them but fails.

 ''Enzo,don't close your eyes baby''I tell him my voice choked and hoarse,I try to clear the clog in my throat but I fail to even speak properly.

 The others soon gather around my bodyguards and enzo's coming out to create a shield around us.

 Kneeling with his body still in my arms I watch his eyes open and close while looking weak.

 ''Are you ok cara''Enzo asks his brows crease and I almost slap him for that question.

 he is the one shot and he still is asking if I am alright.

 ''No shut up,you better don't die on me''I warn him through gritted teeth while glaring at him.

 he chuckles and I smile at him,my smile instantly disappears when his eyes close.

 ''Serene''I hear somebody call behind me but I don't turn to look,instead I continue looking at Enzo while I try to apply pressure on the wound.

 Soon Mariano,Gio and vince step forward and carry Enzo up.

 ''We have to take him to the hospital''Vincenzo says stepping closer to my body and he pulls me into his arms,sighing I hug him.

 ''Lorenzo,what happened to him''A shrill voice screams,I turn only to see Enzo's fiancee standing there her hand clutching her dress while tears stream down her face.

 We pay her no mind and I turn towards my brother and the boys.

 ''We are taking him to the mansion the doctor will take care of him''I tell them and they nod their heads in agreement.

 The doctor at my mansion is one of the best and I have a room fully equiped with the best medical items for emergency sake.

 ''where are you taking him''The same pig like voice screams irritating me further.

 ''He should be in a hospital''She says and starts walking towards Enzo. 

 she instantly stops when the men around bring out their guns pointing the guns at her.

 ''What do you think you are doing,do you who I am''She says and tries to walk forward while also trying to sound brave.

 But that is all an act because her voice sounds uncertain and by the tremble in her legs I can tell she is terrified.

 Holding out my gun I aim and shoot close to her shoe and the idiot lets out a shriek and lands on the marble floor.

 ''Next one will be in your skull''I tell her and her eyes widen.

 Turning I start walking out the boys and my men following behind me.

 looking at the ballroom that has now become like a graveyard I see some people still fleeing.

 the whole place reeks of blood.

 We get to a huge van and they place Enzo inside his head resting on my shoulders.

 I nod at the boys and look out to see Angelina crying while looking at her brother.

 Looking at Vincent who tries concoling his womam I smile.

 the car soon starts driving towards my mansion.

 'Please be alright Enzo.'
