Because of the whole deal with the laptop, Gu Xiao Xiao's mood hadn't really been good. It was obvious that Jin Jing, who was responsible for fixing her laptop, felt the same.

"Say, just who's laptop is this? The water had damaged it to such an extent, it's better to buy a new one!"

"Why do you have so many useless things to say? I told you to fix it, so fix it!" Jin Jing impatiently glared at the man who was playing around with the laptop, "Fix it for me within three days."

"Fix… I don't think it's fixable. The motherboard is burned. There's no way."

"You can't even fix a broken laptop, why do you have a shop!?" Jin Jing was furious and delirious. But she was useless when the reality was so.

After struggling for a long while, Jin Jing decided to buy a new laptop for Gu Xiao Xiao.

Though she didn't want to waste her money on Gu Xiao Xiao, thinking about what Chu Xiao Xi said scared her.

When she returned with her new laptop, someone was already there inside the dorm room.

Li Yan Ran could not believe that after only two days of not being in school, so much had happened. She shot Jin Jing a cold look before returning to chatting with Chu Xiao Xi and Gu Xiao Xiao.

"I am putting the laptop on your desk." Jin Jing put down the laptop and continued, "Your old laptop isn't repairable, so I bought a new one for you. It's the latest model. You lost nothing here."

"Where's the old laptop?" Chu Xiao Xi asked.

"I tossed it." Jin Jing said matter-of-factly.

"Tossed it?" Chu Xiao Xi wasn't happy with this answer, "It's almost exam season and there is so much important information in Gu Xiao Xiao's laptop. You tossed it just like that?"

"I wonder if it's true that the computer couldn't be fixed." Li Yan Ran played along.

"Whatever." Gu Xiao Xiao interrupted, "It doesn't matter if it's true or not. Jin Jing, I hope this kind of thing won't happen a second time."

Returning to her desk, Gu Xiao Xiao turned on her laptop and installed her normal software. Then, she called Chu Xiao Xi and them to go out and eat.

"Gu Xiao Xiao, you cannot let her take advantage of you like this forever!" Li Yan Ran looked at Gu Xiao Xiao, worried, "Or else she will keep on going too far!"

"I merely don't want to waste time with her," Gu Xiao Xiao said seriously, "I have a backup file of my old notes. I didn't lose much."

Gu Xiao Xiao didn't feel great about the whole thing but it's one less thing to deal with now. Since she had nothing to lose, it was fine to let it go.

She raised her head and smiled deeply. After a deep inhale, she looked over to the direction of the school entrance. She wanted to say something but the gulp of air got stuck in her throat, making her cough.

From a bridge, some man was slowly walking towards them.

Standing inside the thin fog, his figure was straight and tall and his face carried an arrogant expression that was as if nobody was around. His eyes were profound and his nose bridge was tall and straight. His features were perfect and it wasn't a surprise that he became everyone's focal point.

He was wearing a black and white sweater, a blue jacket, a pair of black pants and a pair of matching dress shoes. It was such a shame that a man who looks so handsome in those clothes and has such an attractive face wasn't a celebrity.

Gu Xiao Xiao stared at him without blinking. Her heart had gone up to her throat.

Why would the person who disappeared for days after getting a marriage certificate with her show up here?!

Gu Xiao Xiao's heart was pounding. She watched Chu Yi Chen with her lips parted. Fortunately, many people, especially girls, were staring at him, so she didn't stand out.

"Oh, a handsome one." Li Yi Ran followed Gu Xiao Xiao's gaze and looked over. She then exclaimed in a low voice, "When did someone like that him join our school? How come I have never met him?"

"Why is he here…" Chu Xiao Xi, just like the other two, was looking at the man who was coming closer and closer. Her words surprised Gu Xiao Xiao and Li Yi Ran a little.

"Chu Xiao Xi, you… you know him?" Gu Xiao Xiao bit her lip and asked nervously.

"Oh, he's my brother," Chu Xiao Xi answered casually. Her words, however, made Gu Xiao Xiao uncomfortable.

Gu Xiao Xiao stood by Chu Xiao Xi in the wind. When Chu Yi Chen arrived before them, she reflectively looked down and didn't dare to exchange any glances with him.

"Bro, why are you here?" Chu Xiao Xi asked.

"I am here to visit someone." Chu Yi Chen's answer was straight and simple. It scared Gu Xiao Xiao and she quivered.

"Who is it? Who is worthy of the young master's time to personally visit?" Chu Xiao Xi was curious and asked for more information.

"A former professor," Chu Yi Chen answered and glanced at Gu Xiao Xiao. "I have businesses to attend to today. I'll treat you guys to a meal next time."

Gu Xiao Xiao's head hung low but she still felt his gaze landing on top of her head. She subconsciously adjusted her hat. She was just debating whether or not she should say something when Chu Yi Chen's hand landed on her head and patted it.

"This hat is rather cute."

Gu Xiao Xiao wore a fuzzy hat today – in the design of a panda. She is scared of the cold, so during the winter, hats and gloves were essential. Today, she randomly put one on on her way out. However, after Xu Yi Chen's comment, she suddenly felt like she has good taste.

"Bro, when did you get so close to my Gu Xiao Xiao?" Chu Xiao Xi frowned. Her fox-like suspicious gaze scanned over the two of them again and again. She felt like something was up with Chu Yi Chen.

Towards unfamiliar women, he usually doesn't even have the energy to look at them. What's wrong with him today?

"Not close! We are not close at all!" Gu Xiao Xiao's head snapped upward. Without thinking, she denied her relationship with Chu Yi Chen.

Seeing how hard she was trying, Chu Yi Chen smiled meaningfully and answered, "Hello."

"Okay. If you aren't buying us food then goodbye." Chu Xiao Xi didn't want to speak to Chu Yi Chen any longer. She grabbed Gu Xiao Xiao's hand and walked past Chu Yi Chen. "Don't forget to call mom. She even came to find me."

After parting with Chu Yi Chen, the three girls arrived at a little restaurant just outside of campus. The moment they sat down, Li Yi Ran impatiently began to gossip.
