Chapter 19 memory of an old friend

Now, huang zhilan almost went crazy because she didn't know what present she wanted to give to wang xixi.

"Arghhh!!" She covered herself with her pillow amd her comforter. Tomorrow, it will be wang xixi birthday and she was sure that the guests will give her pricey gifts to lick her boots. But she know that Wang xixi never lack anything. She looked on the ceiling and mumbled, "Auntie Gu was close to mother...."

As if she had got an idea, she quickly sat up and smiled brightly. That's it! She quickly scrambled to her closet and found an old chest. She hurriedly opened it and searched over the photos and found an old photo. She smiled and gently caressed the tip of the photo.

It was the photo of her mother and Wang xixi during their schooldays. From their shool uniform, it was clear that they were from wealthy school and the two of them were close like sister.

"Mother..." she looked gently on a girl looking plainly on the camera with her beautiful face flashed a bit coldness. Huang zhilan mother have a beautiful face but her personality was cold. She then looked on the girm beside her mother who clung her arm with her mother's. She smiled gently and her beautiful face was cheerful and full of joy, that's wang xixi.

Huang zhilan worked on making a frame of the photo all night and tucked to sleep after she have finished.

The next morning, she wake up early and take a shower swiftly. She dressed to an pastel pink dress and designed her hair with a few pearls on the side and combed it gently. She then put on a simple pink bracelet on her wrist and put on her heels. She then took the small rectangular black box on the bed and walked out from her room.

Huang peizhi and ke liling also have dressed up and was waiting for her. They ate breakfast and went to the Gu residence after that.

Half an hour later,

The large and luxurious mansion have many cars parked. There are also ladies wearing their finest dresses to attract men. Men formed groups and talked with eah other about businesses.

When they have arrived, huang zhilan was the last to alight from the car. The moment she alighted, a small smile hung on her lips and she unknowingly took the spotlight.

"Thank you for coming ah. Peizhi and zhilan along with liling...." wang xixi was smiling ear to ear seeing them. She looked at ke liling and huang zhilan in gratitude. She smiled at Huang peizhi and invited them in.

In the mansion, Gu junjie and gu jinhai was sitting on the living room, talking with a few people. However when they saw wang xixi and the huang family, they stopped talking and stood up instantly.

"Zhilan and liling is also here!" Gu jinhai smiled and shook hands with huang peizhi.

Huang zhilan and ke liling simply smiled and took their seats on two different sofas. Huang zhilan sat on an empty sofa while huang peizhi and his wife sat on another sofa.

Ke liling gave wang xixi a beautifully wooden religious bracelet. "Its not that much but I know that you like things like this".

Wang xixi was touched by her gift. Other ladies would give her jewelleries but ke liling didn't do the same thus she took the bracelet and quicky wore it.

Huang zhilan then gave the box she have been holding. "Auntie Gu, its an old thing. Hope you didn't mind".

Wang xixi looked at her with raised brows and opened the box as she placed it on her lap. She gasped seeing that it was a frame photo of her and huang zhilan's mother. "Oh my, where did you get this?"

The guests peeked on the frame and finally know why wang xixi was so surprised. Everyone know that Wang xixi is just a nobody but huang zhilan's mother helped her and even paid for her school fees by herself. The to of them become bestfriends and when wang xixi successfully married with the master Gu, huang zhilan's mother then got married with husng zhilan's father. Even when her parents died on the car crash, wang xixi almost fainted in the funeral hearing her only bestfriend passed away.

Such a gift, of course it will make wang xixi even more loved huang zhilan.

"I kept all of mother's things. She keep her old photos in a chest and I checked it to see if there's a photo of you and her," huang zhilan gently explained.
