[Somewhere on the road]

As they approached the cargo, a white truck with grey outlines appeared on the dark road, the lack of moonlight creating a calm yet tense atmosphere in anticipation of what was about to happen.

Each team had arrived at their designated spot, no contact had been made with the cargo, they just followed along behind the trucks.

Asher relished the caress of the wind, his fiery red eyes transfixed on the mesmerizing moon above. The cross earring hanging from his earlobe swayed with a graceful rhythm, while his nebula-like hair shimmered as if it held a constellation of stars within its strands.

Kulduran's voice rang in the air, "Asher," His green eyes focused ahead, "I as the team leader must make sure the team works as one, so I want to hear your thoughts on the team." Eyes still on the road, Asher could feel the seriousness in his voice.

"What do I think of the team?" Asher's head inclined, his gaze briefly following Kuldur's figure ahead before returning to the moon's radiant presence, "Communication and naivety." he responded in a smooth and composed voice, the tranquillity of the night embracing his words.

"Care to elaborate?" Kuldur inquired urgently.

Asher pondered for a moment longer, a hush falling upon the duo. The rumble of the truck's engine and the rhythmic hum of the wheels on the asphalt road enveloped them, creating an ambient backdrop that rendered the silence between them not awkward but contemplative.

"The team lacks attentiveness, often acting impulsively without heeding instructions, leading to repercussions, to me Your experience should serve as a lesson for all, as Robin and Kid Flash seem to understand this concept the most," Asher articulated, his words carrying a weight of wisdom and reflection.

A pause settled between them, a moment of introspection as they each turned inward, lost in their own contemplations. The night enveloped them in a cloak of silence, the only sound the steady hum of the truck's engine and the soft whispers of the wind. In this shared stillness, their thoughts danced in the moonlight.

Asher continued out, "You know, Conner's the only one who gets it. We're both lost, trying to figure out who we are in this crazy world. Sure, our problems aren't exactly the same, but they're close enough. We're both on this wild ride of self-discovery, trying to piece together our identities. You guys, you've had years to figure yourselves out, people guiding you, dreams driving you. But us? We're just starting out, trying to make sense of who we are and what we're meant to do. It's like we're navigating through a maze with no map, learning and growing every step of the way."

"You all have not made me feel like I belong, but recently a start was put into the workings-"

Something caught his hearing from a distance, "We have company, warn the rest." Asher spoke.

Kuldur whose eyes were on the road turned to Asher, his eyes followed where he was looking, 'Team the enemy is approaching, prepare yourselves, defend the cargo, and escape if it becomes too dangerous.' After the mental warning, his arms began to glow.

Asher's concentration deepened as the small orb of compressed blood floating around him began to rotate faster, a crimson blur in the night. He had been stockpiling this blood, and now it pulsed with a menacing energy, ready to be unleashed.

From the moonlit horizon, a swarm of metallic figures with glowing green neon lines streaked towards them, their forms growing clearer by the second. The eerie, mechanical screeches of robotic monkeys filled the air, a cacophony of artificial rage.

Kuldur didn't hesitate. In one swift motion, he leapt off his bike, which astonishingly didn't crash but accelerated to keep pace with the speeding truck. Asher couldn't help but smile at the sight. He followed suit, jumping off his own bike. The floating orb of blood responded instantly, tendrils from the blood orb began shifting beneath his feet to form a solid, circular platform that hovered in the air.

With a determined roar, Kuldur brandished his dual morning star clubs, each crafted from swirling, powerful water. He swung them with brutal precision, smashing one of the robotic monkeys squarely in the head. The impact was devastating, the force of the water clubs crushing the metal skull with a resounding crack.

Asher watched, the blood orb and platform pulsing beneath him, ready to be wielded in the chaotic battle that was about to unfold. The night was alive with danger and anticipation, each moment charged with the potential for violence and heroism.

Asher raised his right hand, his index finger pointing steadily at the approaching swarm. With a voice as cool and calm as a whispering breeze, he simply commanded, "Go." In an instant, thin, yet powerful tendrils of blood shot forth from the orb, slicing through the air with lethal precision.

The blood tentacles moved with a relentless, almost sentient determination. They pierced through the robotic monkeys effortlessly, each striking a deadly ballet of crimson and metal. Some of the mechanical creatures tried to evade the assault, their movements frantic and desperate, but the bloodlines were unyielding, weaving through the air like serpents honing in on their prey.

In a matter of moments, the scene transformed from chaos to eerie silence. Asher's simple gesture had rendered the battlefield clear, each robotic monkey lying motionless, dispatched with clinical efficiency. He lowered his hand, the blood tentacles retracting back into the orb, which hovered obediently by his side, pulsing with latent power. The danger had passed, but the air was still thick with the tension of what had just transpired, a testament to Asher's formidable control and strength.

Kuldur was stunned, staring at Asher with disbelief. To him, Asher's power was overwhelming, far beyond what he expected from a teammate. In Kuldur's eyes, Asher seemed more suited for the Justice League, though he knew that kids weren't allowed in the league. These thoughts were tinged with a hint of resentment.

Putting on a brave face, Kuldur forced a smile. "Good work, Asher," he said, trying to mask his awe. Asher stood on his blood-red platform, hovering effortlessly beside the truck as it sped down the road. His nebula hair flowed in the wind, and his expression remained indifferent, almost bored. The glint of his cross earring added a striking touch to his overall look.

Turning back to assess the situation, Kuldur sent a message through their mental link, 'Our end is clear. How's the situation looking?' The responses came swiftly.

'Not looking good. These robot monkeys are too much; it's taking all our effort to keep fighting,' Artemis replied. 'Yeah, these guys are no joke!' added Kid Flash.

Each team was struggling with the relentless onslaught of robotic monkeys.

[Elsewhere]

Supergirl charged through the hordes of robotic monkeys, bulldozing through their ranks with ease. Explosions followed her path, and occasionally, her eyes would glow red as twin beams of laser vision ripped through clusters of robots, causing even more destruction.

Raven, on the other hand, dealt with the enemies with relative ease. With a clench of her fist, she crushed numerous robotic monkeys into a compact metal ball, which she then hurled at another swarm, clearing the area with efficiency.

Before long, the area was secured. Supergirl hovered above the truck, her presence commanding. 'Our side is clear too. You guys sure do finish quick,' she remarked.

[Inside the bio-ship]

"I'm going to go help Artemis and Kid," Powergirl said to Miss Martian, who nodded and opened a hatch. With a final look, Powergirl leapt out of the bio-ship, her blonde hair and red cape fluttering as she descended, causing a sonic boom.

Suddenly, Robin's voice echoed in their heads, 'Guys, we have a problem. Our cargo has been taken, and Superboy chased after it alone. Don't worry, I'll go after him.'

[Back to Kuldur & Asher]

Asher's mind flickered like a dying fluorescent bulb, a memory from Conner's – no, Superboy's – past life sparking to life. Images of the cocky Kryptonian getting pummelled by a toymaker with a superiority complex flooded his vision. A fierce protectiveness, a feeling entirely alien to him, flared in his chest. He wanted to help Conner… but was it truly Conner he cared about, or a sliver of humanity surfacing from the depths of his loyalty to the team? The answer hung in the air, a question mark twisting in his metallic gut."Vampires social creatures?" Asher scoffed to himself, the words harsh against the rhythmic thrumming of the truck's engine. He swivelled towards Kuldur, his voice cold yet laced with a tinge of urgency. "I'll go after Superboy. I am the fastest one on the team"Kuldur's single eye narrowed, a furrow etching itself into his brow. He studied Asher for a beat too long, the silence thick with unspoken thoughts. Logic dictated keeping Asher by his side, a failsafe against any remaining robotic threats. But a flicker – was it concern? – flickered in Kuldur's metallic depths. Finally, with a slow, deliberate nod, he conceded."Very well," he rumbled, his voice a low vibration. He reached into his metallic form and produced a sleek, phone-like device. How it relayed Superboy's location was a mystery Asher neither knew nor cared about. He snatched the device, the cool metal a stark contrast to the simmering heat of his newfound purpose.A curt nod was his only farewell to Kuldur. He hopped off the blood platform with a practiced grace, landing soundlessly on the truck bed. The crimson liquid hissed softly as it retracted, morphing back into the pulsating orb. Then, in a heartbeat, the orb solidified into a blood-red crystal, settling comfortably in Asher's palm. He slipped it into his pocket, a secret shard of power nestled against his synthetic skin. With a final, steely gaze at Kuldur, Asher took a step towards the edge of the truck. The world lurched as he launched himself off the side, a blur of silver and black vanishing into the twilight. No hesitation, no fanfare – just a single-minded focus on the flickering image of Superboy on the device in his hand. In that moment, Asher, the ruthless vampire warrior, was gone. In his place, a sliver of something more, something unexpected, raced towards the horizon.

[Asher's Pov]

Down I stared at the tracker, a tiny window into a world I couldn't fully grasp. My own movement, a blur to everything else, rendered me frozen on the digital map. Frustration gnawed at me – a tick in the grand clock of my mission. With a reluctant sigh, I forced myself to slow, a jarring contrast to the breakneck pace I'd maintained. Only then would the tracker catch up, a stuttering blip recording my progress. The pleasant chill of the previous landscape became a suffocating weight. The air, once crisp and clean, now reeked of a familiar stench – a toxic cocktail of exhaust fumes and decaying waste. It was a smell that ignited a dormant fire within me. Anger, hot and raw, threatened to consume me, a feral beast straining against its leash. This time, though, I fought back with a ferocity born of desperation. It took every ounce of control I possessed, a feat more difficult than anything I'd ever faced in my short existence, to quell the rising tide of rage. But the embers of anger still flickered, a constant reminder of the violation. Then came the blood. A metallic tang assaulted my senses, a putrid undercurrent to the city's already foul symphony. The very air felt greasy, clinging to my skin like a second, unwelcome layer. The urge to purge rose in my throat, a visceral reaction to this grotesque environment. Gotham. The very name left a bitter taste in my mouth. It had been my point of origin, a place I'd once begrudgingly grown accustomed to. Now, after a taste of something cleaner, something purer, it felt like a festering wound, its ugliness magnified tenfold. With renewed determination, I pushed the revulsion aside. Time was of the essence. I rocketed towards the school, a beacon in the sea of decay. Superboy would be there, I was certain. If not now, then soon enough. It was a race against the clock, against the suffocating city, and most importantly, against the simmering rage that threatened to boil over at any moment. Every fibre of my being strained towards my objective, a singular focus fuelled by a potent mix of urgency and barely contained fury.(A/N: Finally finished this chapter and getting back my lost mojo, my Hopes is to release faster and better in quality, there is no more need to vote stones per chapter, I just wanted to get in the rankings to gain more readers, anyways hope you guys enjoyed the chapter, I am trying to focus more on the characters of the story, to make them more real and more loveable.)(A/N: Next Chapter Superboy's Fury!)Stay tuned!
