41 Lobo!

" Karee?! Keezy Kryptonian thinks he can frag with the Main Man?!" Lobo asked Superboy as he shrugged off his onslaught.

Connor looked at Lobo, surprised by the fact his punches did absolutely nothing to harm the man. Superboy is by no means a weakling. He might not be as strong as Superman, but he is not weak, and Lobo just ate everything he threw at him like it was nothing. Connor knew he couldn't beat Lobo, but considering the circumstances, he had no choice but to try.

" RAAAH!" Connor shouted as he leapt at Lobo once again. But Lobo catches his punch with ease and Headbutts Connor so hard it drooped him to the ground.

Meanwhile, Nightwing is recovering from the impact of Lobo's sudden attack.

" Ugh! Halo fly forager out of here." Nightwing tells the girl.

" Understood. Come on Forager." Halo told the bug. Her body started glowing yellow.

Forager nodded and hopped into Halo's arms and Halo began flying Forager away from the training field.

However, this escape attempt wouldn't go unnoticed by Lobo.

" Karee? No one escapes from the main man." Lobo Swatted Connor away with a swipe of his hand and then reached onto his back for his hook gun. He aimed at Halo and fired it into the girl's back, causing her to scream in pain. Lobo then yanked on the chain and slammed Halo and Forager both back into the ground. He then started reeling the girl's body towards him and once she was close enough, he put his foot on her back and pulled the hook out of her body with a sickening crunch as the hook tore through her spine. " I hate cleaning this thing." Lobo stated as he looked down at all of Halo's blood and bone on the hook.

While he was distracted, Artemis shot Lobo in the face with a foam arrow, skewering his vision.

" Gonna frag that keezy fem." Lobo spoke. However, while he was blinded, Nightwing threw two of his exploding wingdings into the foam. The wingdings exploded knocking Lobo back a couple feet right into another powerful punch from Superboy.

' This isn't even bothering him.' Nightwing thought to himself. " We need to work together. Trying to take him individually isn't working. Geoforce, Lighting. You're up." Nightwing shouted.

" On it." Geoforce replied.

" Right. CLEAR!" Black lightning shouted. He and Geoforce both struck at Lobo from the sides. Geoforce using his magma and Lightning with his black lightning. Geoforce then slammed his foot on the ground and created a lava pit below Lobo forcing him to fall into the burning ground below.

" Gonna frag all you fragin Bastiches." Lobo cursed as he slowly descended into the lava until he was completely sunk.

The heroes gathered around the cooling lava pit, trying to see if their attack had done the job.

" Did that do it?" Geoforce asked.

" I don't know. Lobo is one tough customer. I hardly doubt this will keep him down for long." Nightwing explained to the group.

" Well, right now he's stuck down there. We need to focus on getting Forager out of here and somewhere safe. You know, before he gets back up." Superboy told the man.

Nightwing looked at Connor and Nodded. " Right. Halo, we'll stay behind and make sure Lobo doesn't get out. While you fly Forager out of here. He can't shoot you from down there so you should be fine this time." Nightwing explained to the girl.

" Right, come on Forager. We need to get you out of here." Hal told the bug.

" But what about Friends Nigthwing, and Artemis, and Superboy, and GeoForce, and Lightning, and Doctor Jace?" Forager asked.

" Don't worry about us little buddy. We're not the ones Lobo is after. You get yourself out of here and try to contact the league." Superboy told the bug. He then smiled and patted Forager on his shoulder. " Don't worry, Forager. We're gonna be just fine." Superboy finished he then turned his attention back to the pit that Lobo had been buried in. " Now get out of here and Hurry." Superboy exclaimed.

Things seemed to be going well for the heroes, but before Halo could get Forager out of the area, the Lava pit started shaking. The heroes knew that Lobo was close to escaping and readied themselves. The ground trembled and Lobo exploded from the ground blasting all of the heroes away. He landed directly in front of Forager and Halo.

" Get away." Halo shouted. She changed her glow to yellow and tried to blast Lobo in the face. But Lobo raised his hand and slapped the girl away.

He then turned and looked down on Forager.

" Forager, Run!" Superboy shouted at the boy.

But Forager couldn't. His body felt heavy and his mind racing all over the place as he looked upon the man that towered over him ready to kill.

" Say goodnight, bug." Lobo told Forager. He grabbed forager by the neck and raised him off the ground. Lobo smiled and Forager closed his eyes. But just before Lobo could kill Forager, the sky around them darkened and a bolt of lightning struck down and hit Lobo right in his arm, causing him to drop shout in agony and drop Forager. " What the hell?!" Lobo cursed.

Lobo was stunned by the rogue bolt that struck him. He looked up into the now darkened sky and his eyes widened in shock.

Up above the storm of all storms raged. Shango Stabs the skies above with raging thunderbolts. Hurricane winds pick up and begin to Hammer Lobo's body. The birds in the skies fall to the ground and bow their heads like they would for the great Athena. The Amazons, Spartans and Greeks of old would welcome this sight with open arms. The heat of the desert intensifies, the air dries and Lobo's skin starts to burn. The ground begins to quake and tremble beneath him. The strength of Mahadeva, the great Shiva, is unparalleled amongst the gods. Lobo is no stranger to this power. He has faced it many times before, but never before has it been so intense. So, thick and full of anger. Lobo feels the presence approaching, just behind him. He grins in anticipation, over the coming battle. From ear to ear he grins. A fool to his own power. The others feel it too. But unlike Lobo, they are sheltered by this approaching storm. The lightning that dances around them is protective and acts like a shield, a feeling of relief washes over them.

" Took ya long enough." Superboy jokes.

Lobo turns to see the force standing behind him.

Standing there in all of his godly might, is none other than Captain Marvel. Lightning raging from his eyes and mouth. His hands ablaze with Fire and Lightning.

The captain ignores his friend and instead focuses his glare upon his foe and speaks.

" You have one chance. Leave now, Lobo!" Marvel demands. He orders. He exerts his powers to the limit. He has faced many a foe. And in all of his battles he has always had to hold back. The power residing in his fists could split a planet with ease. He could tear black holes in half with his hands. His fire and lightning could burn hotter than the sun itself. Yet he always has to hold back. Never using more power than necessary for the situation and he never will. Out of fear that if he does, he could kill someone. With Lobo. He does not have that fear.

Lobo is strong, stronger than most. He can heal from a single drop of blood, and Marvel knows this.

" Or you'll do what?" Lobo asks. His arrogance and pride over his strength not faltering under the might of the human turned God.

The lightning storm surrounding Marvel grows angrier and his body becomes engulfed in the raging storm. He stands ready to attack his foe. He then begins to walk towards Lobo, every step he takes shakes the very ground beneath them.

Lobo's grin spreads, and he begins marching to meet the captain.

The two men eventually come to a stop, just in front of each other. They reel back and both meet each other in a headbutt that craters the ground beneath them and causes a shockwave to push the others back further from them.

The stare into each other's eyes once more and the Captain Speaks.

" I won't let you kill one of my people, Lobo." The captain speaks. " It's not right, the game is over!" The captain has laid down the law, but can he take the heat? Having been on the sidelines for months, is he too out of shape to take on an opponent as Skilled in killing as Lobo.
