Chapter two: bullying

Quinn's POV:

I planned to avoid Ari after the incident in the library but of course it wasn't easy. The next day in school turned out to be a cat and mouse game. Ari knew my schedule as well as hers and everytime I came out of class, she always waited outside. I always tried to hide behind my friends but of course she always catched me. Then I tried to run away from her until the next period started and it seemed to work out just in time but now there was one problem...

I had a free period and she did as well so I had to run away from her for a long time... I was faster than her since I was cheerleader and got a lot of stamina but she always knew how to cut my way... I had to find a hiding place. As soon as I walked out of the class room, I saw her casually leaning against the wall. I didn't even bother to hide behind my friends. She always catched me anyway.

"We need to talk.", she growled out of frustration that I constanly ran away from her. I didn't even reply and just started running. She cursed and quickly ran after me. "You can't run away from me forever!", she yelled after me but I ignored it.

I might not be able to run away from her forever but I could avoid her as long as it was possible. I made a lot of curves while I ran, hoping I could make her lose me until I ran into two of my cheerleader girls.

"Wow what are you doing? You look like you've seen a ghost.", Amber said while I panted heavily. Amber was the head cheerleader and very shallow so she would definetely judge me, if I told her about what happened between me and Ari so I stayed silent. I quickly looked behind me and I noticed that Ari was gone and I sighed out of relief.

"It's nothing. Let's just go to the rooftop and gossip.", I told them and Amber's eyes immediately lit up. She loved to gossip especially about people she didn't like. We quickly walked to the school's rooftop, where we always had lunch in summer and sat down at the table. We were the only ones there since not everyone had a free period and Amber immediately was in her element and started to talk.

"You know Quinn... I know Ariana is your friend but I'm sure she is not as perfect as she seems. Her family is so rich and powerful that she can't allow herself to cause a scandal since everyone would find out and her family's name is disrespected.", she explained and my heart made a huge jump.

"Yeah especially after her brother came out as gay. It was a big scandal all around the companies also the one, which is owned by my mother.", Riley said and I tried my best to stay calm. Riley was a disgusting rich girl, who only made it into the squad by her parents paying for it even though she couldn't dance at all.

"Yes. Ariana can't allow herself to cause another scandal but I think there is something she hides. I'm sure she is also gay and I really want to expose her since I can't stand her perfect attitude and her so special talent.", Amber replied and I gulped. I didn't want them to harm Ari but I was too scared to say something...

"How can you be so sure?", I asked her and a sinister grin was all over her face.

"Come on, she is basically obsessed with you. I also saw her sniffing the shirt she put in your back so it smelled like you. She is so creepy and I want to proof it to protect other girls from her perverted nature.", she said and my eyes widened out of shock. I knew Ari's father... He already didn't accept that his son was gay, so he probably would go totally nuts when there was a rumor that Ari was gay as well...

"Amber please... That's just mean. We don't know it for sure and it's her choice, if she wants to come out.", I told her and she rolled her eyes very annoyed. "You are so boring Quinn. Who cares if it is true or not. I want to produce some 

"Just fuck off Amber. I will help Quinn.", she said and pulled me with her to the bathroom but I could see that Amber and Riley were about to follow us. "Those damn bitches. I can't believe you are friends with them.", Ari cursed and dragged me inside the bathroom. "Ari stop! This is a trick! Amber wants to expose you as a perverted lesbian to cause a scandal.", I warned her but she just shook her shoulders.

"I won't let you get a cold by running around with a wet shirt. Here take my sport shirt.", she said and pulled an extra shirt out of her bag. It always felt weird to get changed infront of her because the way she looked at me always felt different especially after the incident yesterday. But I knew Amber was watching and by going into a cabin, I would proof it that Ari was a lesbian since it wasn't a big deal for girls to get changed infront of each other.

So I stayed and took off my shirt while Ari was watching me with hungry eyes. I could see that her fingers flinched out of the urge to touch me but she tried to control herself. But the way she looked at my body was enough for Amber to intervene our moment. "Hey Ariana, do you see something you like? Well you are a rich bitch. Why don't you take what you want so badly?", Amber mocked her while Ari digged her nails into her skin out of anger.

I quickly wanted to put Ari's sport shirt over me but Amber roughly pulled it out of my hands so I still stood there with only a bra, which made Ari even more angry. "There she is Ari. Half naked with only a bra as her top. Why don't you take her?", Riley said and tears were developing in my eyes. I wanted to run away but I couldn't run out like that.

"Alright Amber... You want a show? Then you will get it. Let's do it Quinn.", Ari said and pushed me against the wall. Her anger took completely control over her while Amber grinned very satisfide. "Ari stop! You do exacly what she wants.", I told her and tried to push her away from me while she tried to kiss me. "You make me crazy Quinn and I know you feel the same about me.", she whispered only for me to hear and goosebumbs developed all over my body.

I realized that my body was completely heated and my heart was beating very fast. What did Ari do to me? Why did I feel these things for her? She was a girl and I was supposed to like boys. But I couldn't think about that right now. I had to stop her from embarassing herself even more while Amber and Riley cheered for us to kiss. "Ariana Stop!!", I yelled very loud and Ari's eyes widened in shock and she released me.

"Damn it Quinn. You stopped all the fun.... But anyway now I can tell everyone about the gay perverted nature of the perfect Ariana Grande.", Amber said and left with Riley. Ari put her hand on her forehead out of shock. "I'm sorry Quinn... My anger got over me...", she said very hurt, which made me feel so sorry for her. I gently touched her shoulder and hugged her. "It's okay. I know how provokative Amber can get.", I told her and she hugged me back tightly.

We stayed like that for a while until I noticed that I was just in my bra so I immediately got out of the hug and blushed. "I should finally put the shirt on.", I told her and she giggled. After I was done I looked at her very unsure. "You should go to the principal before the rumor, Amber will spread gets to your father.", I told her and her face darkened. "I will take care of Amber. Just go to your next class. Free period is over.", she said and walked out of the bathroom leaving me confused about what she would do...

I didn't saw Ari during the rest of the day, which made me very worried... Did Amber do something... Or did Ari do something to Amber? I really hoped she was alright but I couldn't stop thinking about her while I was on my way home until my thoughts were interrupted by a big, black car driving towards me. I saw a boy with an unique hairstyle and kinda girly clothes walking out of the car and I realized that he was walking towards me.

"You're Quinn right?", he asked and I nodded very unsure. "I'm Ariana's big brother Frankie. She probably told you about me. Ari got into a fight with a girl from your school and got injured. She wants to see you.", he told me and my eyes widened. My heart stopped beating for a second and sweat was all over my forehead. I couldn't believe that Ari got hurt! I quickly followed Frankie into the car and he drove me to their house.

Ari never wanted me to meet her family so I never was inside her house. I nervously played with my thumbs... I Really hoped she was alright. I never was so worried in my entire life... My Ari got hurt... Immediately after we arrived, I quickly followed Frankie, who brought me into her room, where she laid on her bed, eating a yoghurt. "Ari are you okay?", I asked very concerned and sat down on her bed.

She just chuckled and sat down right beside me. "I am. Amber isn't that strong.", she said and I noticed that she got a violet bruise under her right eye. I gently rubbed my finger over it, which made her stop breathing for a while. "But she hurt you!", I told her very concerned and she blushed. "So you are worried about me?", she said and moved closer to me and I quickly moved away to keep my distance and looked down to hide my blushing.

"I mean... Of course. You are my best friend after all.", I stuttered out very nervous and she moved closer to me again. "I think there is more to it.", she said and I sighed. "Quinn...", she breathed out and pulled me into her arms to hug me very tight. I immediately pushed her away from me to stop my feelings from coming out. I mustn't feel something like this for her... My parents would never allow it.

"Stop being so clingy. Are you really so needy for a boyfriend? Don't you feel disgusted?", I asked her very frustrated but she gently grabbed my chin to make me look into her eyes, which always made my heart melt. "If it's you then I don't feel disgusted. I like you a lot Quinn.", she said and my stomach was filled with such an unfamiliar warmth, which I never wanted to go away. She moved her face closer to mine and I noticed that our lips almost touched so I quickly got out of my hypnotised state and moved my head away.

"Ari please... We are both girls.", I whispered but she moved her face closer to mine again. "I don't care. I want only you.", she whispered and almost reached my lips but then I realized that her mouth was still full of yoghurt and I moved my head away again. "But your mouth is still full of yoghurt.", I told her and she giggled before she came closer again. "Then let's taste it together.", she said and finally closed the gab between our lips.

Her kiss was gentle and sweet. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the taste of strawberries from her yoghurt. Everything around us seemed to disappear and I never felt something so wonderful in my entire life. Then she pulled away and we looked deep into each other's eyes. I melted from her loving expression and she sighed very excited when she kissed me again but this time with more passion.

I could hear her moaning into the kiss and my stomach felt like a firework was inside of it. I never thought someone could make me feel this way but Ari was special... She kissed me with a lot of greed and explored my mouth with her tongue while my hand was running through her hair. It was so peaceful and magical that I almost forgot that we weren't supposed to do that. If that was wrong, then why did it feel so right? I just couldn't stop to think about how much I actually loved Ari...

But then I had to pull away since I ran out of air and we both panted heavily. "That was even more beautiful than I imagined...", Ari breathed out and I couldn't help myself anymore. I just had to hug her very tight and she immediately put her arms around me.

"What are we?", I asked her and she giggled. "I want you to be my girlfriend Quinn. I want to make you completely mine. I know you're not familiar with loving a girl but I promise that it's not different from loving a boy.", she told me and I sighed.

I couldn't hold my feelings back anymore... I did love Ari but her father and my parents would never allow this. "But...", I wanted to say but she interrupted me. "We can go slow. No one has to find out. I just want to be with you. I want to hug you, kiss you and call you mine.", she said and holded me tighter against her. My eyes were filling with tears... I couldn't say no to her... It would break my heart. "Okay... I will be yours.", I told her and her eyes were shining very bright before she kissed me again very passionete as if she wanted to suck my heart out of me.

"You won't regret it my love.", she said and I gave her a warm smile. I never was so happy in my entire life but I was also scared... My parents would beat me up, if they found out... But Ari interrupted me from my thoughts by giving me a headphone. "I wrote a song about you and recorded it in my own studio. I want you to hear it. It's called 'imagine'.", she said and played the song. She made me lay down on her chest while tears came out of my eyes when I heard the song... The fact that her beautiful voice sang about me made my heart melt even more... I truly wished that this peaceful moment would never end...
