Disha-

Gosh! Is it his way of saying that he is going be with me only? My gosh!! I really hate myself right now to think like that, he must have meant it casually. Why do I always take things so seriously? And these damn cheeks, they are like burning from blushing. I need it to stop.

Thanks to the waiter who walked in with the foods right at the time. It gave me a little time to control myself and to push away the heats. These items infront me were something I have never had. I quickly took my phone out of my bag and clicked few pictures for my ig story.

I took a sip of my tea while I asked him to answer the next question. He was going to read it out loud again, when I stopped,

"Don't... don't read it out loud. I'll tell you. Well, you are clearly benefiting from this wedding. But what do I get? I mean what's in it for me?" I asked the question from the contract.

His eyes looked as if he hadn't even thought of this question. After taking a while to collect his thoughts he said,

"You will get a tension free life. I'll take care of your everything", he said looking right into my eyes.

"That's a must from you, if you are my husband. But I want you to do all my thesis", I said, trying to take advantage of the situation.

He shook his head. "I won't do your thesis for you. Cause it'll hamper your educational growth. I'll, top, help you. Here comes another thing, inside the club I'm not your husband so, don't think of any favor from me and outside the club I'm not your captain. So, again don't expect any help from me, in something that YOU are supposed to do", he said putting more pressure in the last sentence than necessary. I nodded.

He wrote the answers and signed the contract. I followed him.

"Contract sign done. I'm assuming that you've agreed to merry me, then?" he said pointing me to keep the file inside the bag.

"Yes. But then again, I've got few questions about you that I never dared to ask. But Since we might end up spending our life with each other, I think I should clear my doubts".

"Right, so what are your doubts?" he said clapping his hands together.

"You are never in the campus on Thursday and always late on Friday... Why is that?" I gave a suspicious look .

"What do you think, why? Let me hear your theories...! I'm pretty sure that you have come up with a few ones!!" he said in a teasing voice.

"I think.... Maybe.... Vampire..." I said in doubt.

"Look outside...." he said pointing outside the window.

"What?" I asked in confusion not being able to understand what he asked me to see.

"It's sunny outside and if your theory was anything to be right.... Then I should be shimmering right now, don't you think so??" he said. A little smile appeared on the corner of his lips.

"Right, ummm.... Secret agent? And you have to report to duty on every Thursday?" At this point, even I don't know what I'm babbling.

"Like the FBI or the royal security?" he asked in confusion."More like an Interpol...!!" I said, grinning.

"Ok so,...Interpol has an age limit even though I've reached it but I still wouldn't join them. They don't deserve me", he said sarcastically.

"Are you terminally ill? So, you have to go for check up?" I said, completely ignoring his sarcasm.

"Maybe heart disease?" he made it sound like a question.

"How serious is that? You wouldn't die anytime soon right? Come on I don't wanna be widow at this age...!!" I said, widened my eyes.

"No, I'm kidding. No one's ill. And I'm perfectly healthy," he sounded honest.

"Then why?" this time I am seriously curious.

"I'm.... Ummm.... I teach in Harvard's physics department. I usually leave on Wednesday night and arrive around noon on Friday. My class is in Thursday every week", he explained.

"Oh, OK. But your flight, if direct should take around 18 hours, going and coming. And how many classes do you take?"

"3 classes and 2 solving class including exam. Each class more than 65 minutes. And solving classes... I give top 120 minutes" he gave me the whole info in detail.

"Ok so, 5 hours and 25 minutes sort of. So, it's like 23 hours 25 minutes. Including Wednesday, you are out of country like, more than 45 hours, if you leave on 7 pm Wednesday. What do you do these left 16 hours and 75 minutes?" I know I sounded like a suspicious wife asking these but bullets were already out of the gun.

He chuckled and after a long stare said,

"I didn't know you were good at math. Maybe I should let you handle math from now on", he teased again.

"No no, no chance. I'll never do that", I said waving my hands in the air.

"You are up for it from tomorrow. And about what I do in these times... (a long suspenseful pause, he is pretending to think) I SLEEP."

He brust into laughter. While I was irritated. I had expected something else. Not sure what, but definitely not sleep.

"Lam, I'm not a robot. I'm human and for humans sleep is necessary, because.... "

I cut his sentence and spoke myself , "Because on the perspective of energy conservation, sleep helps us to replenish our brain glycogen levels, which fall during the hours we are awake. I know why sleep is necessary", I said pouting.

"Good, you are handling both math and psychology from tomorrow", he said with a smile.

But there was no teasing in his voice. He sounded serious. I felt timorous.

"You can't be serious, right? You know I would rather marry you than handling those stuff", I said in nervousness, my feet felt cold.

"Well, you are" he said with a smile that comes out of satisfaction. I blankly stared at him.

"Marrying me. You are marrying me. But Lam," he paused 1 sec, 2 sec, 30 sec, a minute later he said, "Once you are mine, you'll be mine forever. I won't let go of you. So, cut the thought of divorce out of your head", he said looking into my eyes.

Gosh!! His ocean blue eyes, I felt like drowning into them. My heartbeat got so fast. And my blush, it must be like crimson red.

"Ok, I got it. I don't even know what divorce is anymore", I said. He chuckled.

"Ok, so since you have agreed, shall we discuss about the date and all?" he said, biting a biscuit.

The biscuits tasted good. He must have liked them.

"Date? Wedding date?" I said, making a shocking expression.

"Yeah. We must decide them as soon as possible. How about this weekend? It'll be perfect if we pick this weekend," he said, taking another sip of the tea.

"How many people are you thinking of having in the wedding? It won't be the whole Oxford right?" I asked, grinning.

"If you want, I don't mind".

"No, holy crap no. I would never want that. I am expecting it to be as small as it can be. Maybe just you and me", I said taking a bite of the tea sandwich.

He didn't answer, I guess he was staring at me but I am not sure. Cause I didn't want to meet his eyes. So, I kept on looking inside the sandwich, searching for their secret behind making it so tasty.

A while later Raidan said, "Fine, if that's what you want. I don't mind".

"Okay, thank you. I've a solid reason behind it. I'll tell you but maybe after our marriage. By the way, I think it'll be hard for my husband to handle me, will you be able to do it?" I asked teasing him.

"If you let me, I can", he said with a smile.

Suddenly I thought of the file that I had made about the case yesterday so, I thought of talking over it with him. I had the butter of the sandwich in my finger , I licked them and wiped them with a tissue and turned to my bag to take out that file. I took it out and hold it infront of Raidan. He looked confused.

"Another contract?" he said.

"No, these are few datas that I've collected about the case Mr. Bailey had assigned us".

He was looking inside the file but as soon as I told him what it was, he gave it back to me and said, "Told you, outside club I'm not the captain".

"But you are not my husband yet, so you can see it. And it isn't just about me, it's about all of us", I said with a devilish proud smile.

He took the file back and looked inside it.

At a moment he was about to say, "What a bust..."

He cleared his throat and said, "what a disgusting man he is. He left his kids behind to fend for themselves?" his face is full of anger.

"That's right. It's a regretting thing that people like them exist. But you know you can curse him, no one else is here. So, you don't have to think of your image", I said teasing, trying to subside his anger.

"Well, you are here. And you are not my wife yet, so, I've to take care of my image", he said with a grin. To think, we'd already gotten closer, more than we had been in the past six months.
