Chapter 3

"Thank you, Kanae-sensei," Hiashi said gratefully as the doctor start examining her.

"It's alright, Hiashi-sama," the doctor replied, addressing Hinata's father.

"When were you born?" the doctor inquired.

"December 27th," Hinata replied.

"What is your father's name?"

"Hyuga Hiashi."

"And your mother's name?"

"I don't remember."

"Do you recall the names of your uncle and cousin?"

"Hizashi and Neji."

"Do you remember how to write?"

"Of course..."

"And what about this?" the doctor pointed to the door.

"I'm not a mental patient, sensei..." Hinata responded, slightly amused by the absurdity of the question. The barrage of inquiries continued, and Hinata answered them based on her knowledge from anime.

---

"The doctor says you're healthy, but you have partial memory loss," Hiashi relayed to Hinata.

The revelation didn't come as a surprise to either of them. Hinata had admitted during the examination that she couldn't remember many things, although she still had fragments of memories that allowed the doctor to draw some conclusions. Hiashi, having experienced similar feelings, accepted the doctor's diagnosis.

After the examination, Hiashi, Hinata, and Hanabi gathered in the living room.

As they sat facing each other, the weight of guilt was heavy in Hiashi's heart.

He recognized the immense pressure he had put on Hinata and the impatience he had shown while educating her. Now, he was witnessing the consequences of his actions.

What should I do?

Hiashi wondered, feeling lost.

"Hinata..." he called out to his daughter.

"Yes, Dad?" Hinata responded promptly, her gaze fixed on Hiashi was unfamiliar.

"Dad, huh..." Hiashi noticed that Hinata had never called him that before. She had always been fearful and addressed him more formally as "Father."

It wasn't just her memory that had changed; her entire character seemed different now.

At that moment, Hiashi contemplated his role as the head of the Hyuga clan.

From a clan perspective, Hinata's current character might make her a better shinobi. However, from a father's perspective, he felt like trash for not being able to protect his daughter, especially when she couldn't even remember her mother's name.

"Sigh... If you're facing any difficulties, just speak up and tell me," Hiashi said, closing his eyes.

He had made up his mind to prioritize the protection of Hinata and Hanabi, disregarding the expectations the clan had placed upon them. He knows that the opinions of disappointed clan elders and branch families paled in comparison to the well-being of his children.

'But can I protect Hinata?' Hiashi pondered, realizing that the Hyuga clan would become even more chaotic now. Hanabi, despite being five years younger, possessed great talent. On the other hand, Hinata is average and had lost her shinobi abilities due to unfortunate circumstances.

'Should I seek help from the Yamanaka clan? But it feels like I'm doubting my daughter,' Hiashi contemplated, his mind filled with confusion.

As he grappled with these thoughts, both Hinata and Hanabi were caught off guard by his statement.

"Oh?" Hinata exclaimed in confusion.

Hinata knew that the clan and her father had placed high hopes on her, hopes that were now shattered.

"What do you mean, Dad?" Hinata asked, seeking further clarification.

"You said you don't remember anything about your skills as a shinobi. If the clan elders hear about this, they will surely know-" Hiashi said, gritting his teeth in annoyance. Hanabi, still unaware of the clan's dark side, wondered if her father was angry.

Hinata's eyes widened briefly before returning to normal.

She nodded, signaling the end of the painful topic.

"If you encounter any troubles, the head of the clan... no, your father will support you," Hiashi said, surprising both Hinata and Hanabi.

Had this once cold and stern father suddenly softened?

"Ahem! Onee-chan can always rely on Hanabi too," Hanabi chimed in proudly, unaware of the clan's hidden secrets. Her youthful innocence made her determined not to be outdone.

A faint smile graced Hinata's face as she felt a slight weight lifted off her shoulders. Hanabi's spirited words reminded her of the bond she shared with her younger sister, though guilt lingered in her heart.

In her current state as Hinata, she could do nothing to change her circumstances.

"Thank you," she whispered, knowing that those words were all she could offer for now.

"Well then, let's have dinner," Hiashi declared, clapping his hands.

Hinata's stomach growled in agreement.

She thought, 'That's right, I'm feeling hungry after my daily quest.' She couldn't help but chuckle inwardly, feeling her body's need for nourishment.

Soon, maids entered the room, carrying dishes that made Christine's mouth water with anticipation.

'What is this? Do rich people eat like this every day? Is that... wagyu?'

In her previous life, Christine had been a poor girl who relied on hard work to put food on the table although she might have a lot of chances of finding a sugar daddy given her beauty, she's not. The meal before her was a first-class Japanese full course, turning the once dull wooden table into a masterpiece of culinary art.

---

Time slipped away, leaving Hinata alone in her room. With the echoes of encouragement and warnings about the future still fresh in her mind, she immersed herself in her studies, determined to arm herself with knowledge.

"Knowledge is a weapon," she muttered, her eyes brimming with determination as she surveyed the numerous scrolls and books scattered across her room. "First, I must unravel the mysteries of this system."

Ah, yes, the cheat is called System. Hinata couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all. She had stumbled upon a hidden power that granted her extraordinary abilities. Perhaps, she mused, it had something to do with chakra, the mystical energy of her world.

Chakra is the synergy between physical and spiritual energy.

By enhancing her stats, Hinata deduced that she could increase her chakra capacity.

Picking up a brush, she began writing down her hypotheses and experiences with the system. Frustratingly, the system provided little information beyond achievement points, leaving her to figure out the optimal distribution of her stats on her own.

"Speaking of achievement points," she muttered, a blue screen materializing before her, "I'll need to complete upcoming quests, daily tasks, and maybe even influence some of the story's key events. It's all connected to the main cast, I bet."

To harness physical energy, she needed strength, agility, and stamina. As for spiritual energy, she must cultivate her senses and intelligence.

Hinata scribbled down these insights, making notes of what she deemed important.

[Stats]

[Strength: 1.1 (F)]

[Agility: 1 (F)]

[Sense: 1.1 (F)]

[Stamina: 1.1 (F)]

[Intelligence: 1 (F)]

***

[Achievement Points: 3]

Three achievement points are in hand.

Each stat received a minor boost of 0.1, except for Sense, which increased more substantially due to her stealthy escape from the Hyuga Compound after sensing the distracted gatekeeper she managed to raise it by 0.1.

Intelligence received a similar increase as she delved into books and attempted to tap into the essence of chakra through meditation.

"So, that means I'll have to intensify my training further..."

she pondered, her body protesting at the mere thought. However, the image of Kaguya flashed in her mind, instantly reigniting her resolve.

[Stats]

[Strength: 3.1 (F)]

[Agility: 2 (F)]

[Sense: 1.2 (F)]

[Stamina: 1.1 (F)]

[Intelligence: 1 (F)]

***

[Achievement Points: 0]

With no achievement points remaining, Hinata faced a crucial decision.

She decided to allocate her points, dividing them evenly between strength and agility.

She couldn't help but raise an eyebrow in disbelief.

Was that all it took? She expected something more dramatic to occur.

Chuckling to herself, she dismissed the comical sight of being enveloped in a strange aura.

---

The next morning, darkness blanketed the world as the sun had yet to rise. Hinata embarked on her daily quest, her childlike voice echoing through the cold air.

"Hah, hah..."

Concern etched on his face, Ko approached Hinata. "Hinata-sama, are you alright? You should take a break."

Ignoring Ko's worries, Hinata remained focused on the path ahead, her limbs straining to their limits.

Seeing her determination, Ko gave up trying to persuade her.

"Youuuuth!"

-Shhh!

Like a speeding vehicle breaking the sound barrier, the duo watched a green beast zoom past them.

Despite the peculiarity of the situation, Hinata couldn't help but chuckle. She always found amusement in Guy's eccentric character.

"To think I witnessed that firsthand..."

Hinata mused, her words sounding strange to Ko's ears.

"Ah~ what an adorable black cat. Is it safe sleeping there?"

For a moment, an odd expression crossed Hinata's face, but she quickly regained her composure and corrected herself.

"Oh..."

Hinata-sama is still such a kind-hearted individual, Ko thought.

After a while, they had covered a distance of ten kilometers, and the sun finally graced the village of Konoha with its warm rays.

"Wow..."

Exhaustion weighed heavily on her, but the sight from the top of the hill made it all worthwhile. Most importantly, Hinata didn't miss the iconic Hokage face sculpture.

"Hm... Hokage."

She murmured, picturing her face there.

"Impossible," Hinata muttered, turning her attention from the Hokage's face to Ko.

"Hey, can you observe me practicing chakra control?"

"Of course, Hinata-sama. I've been informed about what happened by Hiashi-sama."

Though Ko felt sympathy for Hinata's recent struggles, he couldn't help but be amazed by her unwavering determination.

"I won't let this go to waste," he thought.

Hinata placed her hands on her waist, contemplating, "Now that I've grasped the essence of chakra, the next step is channeling it through my chakra pathways..." With the basics in mind, she sought to connect with the chakra within her body.

"Hinata-sama, if you wish to practice, I suggest assuming a cross-legged sitting position..." Ko offered a suggestion.

"Ah... You're right."

Being a foreigner, Hinata had experienced a culture shock. It took her around three days to adapt to the local customs and way of life.

Hinata settled into a cross-legged position, took a deep breath, and began to feel the chakra within her body. As she connected with it, she gradually channeled the energy through her chakra flow, akin to the blood coursing through her veins.

"So this..."

The sensation sent shivers down her spine as she became aware of the inner workings of her body.

"It feels like I've turned off the autopilot switch for my heart and started manually pumping it... Who would've thought I could experience something like this?"

As the chakra flowed, Hinata sensed specific points within her body.

"These must be the chakra points."

Christine, an avid Naruto viewer thanks to her sister, understood the concept of chakra points even without formal training.

"When I activate my Byakugan, I'll be able to scan these chakra points like an MRI."

As Hinata fully embraced her new identity, she realized the privileges of being a Hyuga.

'I have much to learn, but I also have unique abilities. Although, I still can't shake my fear of bugs.'

Despite her worries, she managed to sense the intricate chakra pathways and points throughout her body.

"Alright," Hinata concluded her practice session, opening her eyes. "Next, it's time for training-Kyaaa!!!" She attempted to speak, but a sudden sensation on her butt startled her. Swiftly standing up, she stomped in that direction.

"It must be a bug!"

Since she was sitting on the ground without a mat, she couldn't help but worry.

"What's the matter, Hinata-sama!?" Ko responded promptly, his senses heightened. However, his efforts proved futile as the cause of the alarm turned out to be something trivial.

"Ah... no, it's nothing."

Hinata suppressed her initial reaction, regaining her composure.

"I see. Ahem. Hinata-sama, there's something I must remind you about."

Ko's tone grew serious, and Hinata became nervous. 'Does he know I'm afraid of bugs? He probably believes that a shinobi from the main Hyuga family must be a flawless being.' Her mind raced frantically, and in her conscious world, Christine bit her fingers, not wanting to reveal her flaws. However, she had misjudged the situation.

"Hinata-sama, you need to return to the Academy. You've missed several days of class."

"...huh?"

Hinata's calm expression shattered, a crack appearing on her face.

She had completely forgotten about her responsibilities as a sixth-grader at the Academy.
