“I think we should have hard wood flooring. But I want it to be environmentally friendly.” Jason looked around him. “I did some research on this once when I was contemplating replacing that horrible rug in the kitchen. I suggest we use maple. Bamboo is too soft for a house with kids and you can’t walk on it in heels or sport spikes. Not that you should on maple, but bamboo damages easier than the maple does. The wood should be certified wood flooring approved by the FSC, Forest Certification Council. We can even use it on the kitchen floor maintaining continuity with the rest of the house.”
“If maple is what you want, maple is what we’ll get. Why don’t we get kitchen cabinets to match the floor, the good, tall cabinets with lazy Susans and built-in spice racks? I’d also like two pantries, one that we can lock against little fingers.” Zach kissed Jason’s nose.
Jason gave Zach a black look, “What am I four? You’re kissing my damn nose.”
