Namjoon wanted to help Jungkook. He still believed that they were able to save the Meaty Way. He should give Jungkook some space before giving him his proposal. He would become a partner in the business but first things first. He had to expose Nimue. He clicked his tongue, thinking of a plan.
His phone rang. He swiped to answer the call.
"Hello?"
"Namjoon! Where are you?" an excited voice said.
"I am in my apartment," he replied. "Why are you so excited, Hoseok?"
So many scenarios ran through Namjoon's thoughts. Something went wrong with the last interview, or Jin had completely lost his dignity, sending Yuna running.
"Yuna will be starring in the new movie!" Hoseok screamed in excitement.
No way! Namjoon thought. He would never have guessed that Jin would agree so easily. Yuna had worked her charms on him. She was an extraordinary woman. This time Jin would see past Minyu and see the truth; everyone around him had seen.
"That is excellent news," Namjoon said. A grin played on his face.
"It is more than excellent," Hoseok replied. "This is going to save the company, even Jin's heart."
"Did I miss something?" Namjoon asked confused. He had to be missing something. Why would Hoseok bring up the matters of the heart? Did they know about their bet? He hoped that they did not, it may ruin everything.
"I wouldn't say that you have missed something," Hoseok replied sweetly. "Jin is kinda strangely charming with the girl."
Namjoon bit his lip. That was a good sign, but so many things could go wrong. Jin always loved too fiercely. He never thought things through even though he wanted Jin and Yuna to be together. . .they would have to do this slowly. Minyu was not out of the picture yet.
"You don't say," replied Namjoon, his thoughts were like a bullet train.
"Look. We should go out and celebrate."
Namjoon noticed that Hoseok's tone of voice changed suddenly. Usually, it meant that he had been caught doing something he wasn't supposed to. Jin was probably in the vicinity.
"Sure," Namjoon said, "How about tomorrow?"
"Great! I will tell you everything, then."
Before Namjoon could reply, the line went dead. He stared at his phone for a couple of seconds. He wanted to give Jin a call and find out from his side. He took a deep breath and turned to his original thought; the Meaty Way.
He dialled Jungkook's number. It was ringing. He rolled his lips, something was seriously wrong. He didn't want to panic, and he decided to try again before freaking out. The number was ringing and ringing. . .and ringing.
"Pick up Jungkook!" Namjoon shouted out of frustration.
The phone kept on ringing. Panic started to take root in Namjoon's heart. He had to find Jungkook quick. He grabbed his car keys, ran out the door and took the steps two at a time. He was worried that Jungkook did something stupid.

Yuna let go of Jin's hand. She watched the smiling faces of Tae, Suga and Hoseok. They were beside themselves with the performance. She felt so proud of herself, that she glanced at Jin, who was grinning from ear to ear.
Did he feel it? She wondered. There deep down, she felt the spark between them. Then again, he might have acted. This was going to be a big problem. She would never know when he would be himself and when he would be acting. A soft sigh escaped her lips.
Jin noticed. The grin disappeared. "Is something wrong?"
She shook her head. "No. I am just thinking about how I will get home."
It was not a lie. She was thinking about it but not at that moment, but Jin had taken over her thoughts. All she could think about was him. Jin smiled at her while placing a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
"You do not have to worry about that. I will see you home."
Her eyes widened. No! No! She could feel the panic settling in. She didn't want him to take her home. What would he think if he saw where she stayed? She needed to call Jungkook immediately.
"That is not necessary," she replied instantly, "my brother will come."
Jin was bout to say something but he was interrupted by Tae.
"We will draft the contract tomorrow. You may read it before you sign."
Suga was at Tae's elbow, but Hoseok was in the corner of the room talking on his cellphone. When had he moved? She wondered. His grin was as wide as a Chesire cat-
"-Yuna?"
She blinks. "I am sorry. My mind is somewhere else."
"We know this is a big deal. Would you be available for tomorrow?" Tae asked. Hoseok ended his phone call and joined them a few seconds later.
"As long it is after two," she replied, averting her gaze to the floor. This was her big opportunity and now she was making demands because of her 'day' job. On the other hand, if they desperately needed her for this, they could make an exception.
"Of course, that will not be a problem. We look forward to working with you," Tae said and smiled. "We cannot do this movie with-"
"- Tae," Jin chided. He couldn't believe Tae had almost given it away. "Give the girl some breathing space. This is a big opportunity. She needs time to adjust."
I need more than adjusting, Yuna thought. She wanted to get out of here and tell Jungkook the good news. She was finally living her dream.
"Thank you. I will be hereafter two to sign the contract," Yuna said and bowed. "Thank you for the opportunity."
"No need to thank us," Hoseok interceded before Tae could say anything. "We know you will be amazing."
Yuna's cheeks turned crimson. She averted her gaze to the ground. She was not to high praise. Jin touched her shoulder.
"May I take you home?"
"I-I have to call my brother," she said hastily, "he will be worried about me."
Jin's eyebrow quirked. She had answered too fast. Is she flustered? He wanted to spend more time with her but. . .if her brother picked her up then he would offer another time. He watched as she took out her phone from her back pocket.
Her eyes widened at the screen. He saw several emotions playing like a movie on her face. Something was wrong. He could see her breathing become more agitated and he wanted to grab the phone from her hand to see what got her this agitated.
"What's the matter?" he asked, reaching for her shoulder which she sidestepped.
"I-I have t-to g-go," she stammered. Tears started to form, she was fighting hard to keep them back.
He couldn't let her leave in her current state. I will take her. She needs someone - "- Thank you for everything." Her voice broke through his thoughts. It sounded so broken. He stopped her when she reached the door.
"Tell me what's the matter," Jin said. His hand covered hers on the door handle.
"I don't have time - I need to get to the hospital," she replied, yanking the door open. Jin staggered backwards slightly, his hand leaving hers. Without giving him time to compose she was out the door, running to the elevators.
Jin turned to the others. They shook their heads at him. Saying 'no' to what he wanted to do. He ignored them and dashed after her. She was already entering the elevator. He reached the doors just before they closed, and they slowly reopened; revealing Yuna standing in utter shock.
"What - "
" - I am not letting you leave in a panicked state," Jin interrupted, entering the elevator. The doors closed slowly behind him. "I want you to tell me what is wrong."
How was she supposed to tell him? Just a few seconds ago she needed to find a way home and she didn't even think about how she was getting to the hospital but - she needed to get there asap! He didn't know a thing about her, yet he was pressing about her personal life.
"I don't have time to explain," she sighed, "I have to find a taxi as soon as possible."
"I am not going to let you go alone," he said curtly. "I will take you."
He was persistent, and she didn't want to be alone with him. Her heart was betraying her already. She didn't have the energy to fight him on this. She just wanted to get to the hospital as soon as she was able.
The tears that she had fought broke through like a waterfall. Jin closed the distance and wrapped his arms around her. He rested his chin gently on her head, he rubbed her back as her tears stained his shirt.
"Please," he begged. "Tell me . . ."
"Why?" she sobbed. "Why do care so much?"
He bit his lip. It was a fair question. Why did he care? What she didn't understand was when he falls for someone - he fell deeply and she became the most important thing in his world. Even though he had promised himself; that he would never fall in love again.
"I cannot answer that," he replied. "Not that I do not want to - I just can't."
She gripped his shirt tighter. The movement of his hand on her back was so soothing. She felt safe. Maybe she should share the news that she received. She pushed back from him, his arms moved to her shoulders. She looked up, there was worry in his facial features.
"I received a message from Namjoon," she explained, her voice hoarse. "He works for my brother and he went looking for him because he didn't answer his cell. He found his car wrapped around a tree. . .he is-
She didn't want to voice it out loud. She was afraid, afraid that Jungkook might not survive his injuries. What would she do then? He was her rock since childhood. Now, she was blurting everything to a stranger. Yes, he was her movie star crush, still, that didn't make it right to offer up her private life.
The elevator doors opened. There was no one on the first floor. She sworn Jin sighed out of relief. He tugged at her hand gently. "Then let us not waste any more time."
She followed after him. He was moving quickly and she struggled to keep up. She hadn't finished telling him about Jungkook's condition, yet he felt the need in her emotions in a way that she hadn't needed to speak.
He took her to the underground parking where his sliver two-door Porsche stood in a corner. They stopped in front of it, pressing his car keys, and the doors opened. "Get in."
She hesitated as he let go of her hand. Jin was already behind the wheel. "Well?" he asked when he noticed she wasn't next to him.
Alone, she thought, with Jin? Her heart started racing when reality slapped her in the face. She was going to be alone with Jin in his car. He offered to drive her and. . .her heart jumped to her throat. She started to feel faint. She forced her legs to move.
She fastened the seatbelt as soon as she climbed into the car. She jumped as the doors closed. She felt uncomfortable in a motorcar that seemed to be thinking for itself. Jin started the car.
"I will be driving like hell. Please do not be afraid."
Before Yuna could muster a reply, Jin sped from the parking area. She gripped the car seat tightly. Was he crazy? Her brother had been in a car accident and now. . .he was speeding towards the hospital. She hoped when they arrive that Jungkook was still alive.
