Archer's POV
Seven Years After
"Are you ready?" I heard my cousin's voice behind me, but I didn't turn around to look at him. I was looking at the view of the busy metropolis from my office window, and my hands were in my pockets as I released a heavy sigh.
"No, I will pass," I answered.
"What is wrong with you, buddy? It has been seven years; I think it is time for you to stop thinking about Mariela," he said, and I laughed as I shook my head.
"You know I am not thinking about her, Kent," I said, and I didn't want to admit to my cousin and best friend that he was right; until now, I couldn't stop myself from thinking about Ella's betrayal.
"She made me fall in love with her, and almost every day in my life, I remembered the pain she had caused me, and I will not rest until I make her payoff what she had done," I added as I could feel my face harden.
