Ravenwood Town

[Frostwind Continent-Forbidden Forest-Ravenwood Town]

Heizen and his team walked along the cobblestone path and finally appeared near the town.

"By the way, are you also from the Ravenwood Town?" Sarah asked while they were walking.

"No, I am from a small village outside. I accidentally stumbled on an adventure team and followed them. I was alone so I didn't have any constraints."

He quickly replied.

Others nodded. This was too common in this world. Not all people had the privilege to live in a town or city. Most people settled outside in a small village to survive.

"If you don't have anywhere to stay, you can join our Seeker adventurer team. I can vouch for a position." Bernard offered help from the side.

"Thank You!" Heizen quickly showed his gratitude. This way, the identity issue would be solved.

After teleporting to this location, he was running like a headless fly. It would be nice to settle down and organize thoughts before making plans for the future.

While the group was talking, a huge meadow or field appeared in their view. Lots of unknown crops were arranged neatly throughout the field.

He also saw many villagers with livestock returning from their work.

"They are the fields opened by Ravenwood town. Some are rented while some are owned by the lord" Sarah said after seeing his eyes.

"Won't monster plundered them without protection?" Heizen asked.

"No, Raven Guard will patrol regularly 10 Km around the town. If there are any monsters, they will clear them immediately." Bernard said.

"Also, since there are so many hunters active in the town, normally, there won't be such issues," Sarah interjected.

Finally, after some twists and turns, they arrived at the gate of Ravenwood Town.

Heizen saw a huge gate covered with ancient murals. On both pillars, there are two large Raven Statues with their claws on a human skull.

Such impacts give an ancient vibe to this town. Heizen looked at the gate where large horse carriages lined up for inspection. They were giving some coins to the guard before entering the gate.

"Damn!" Heizen mumbled and quickly went back to the girls. He could only sell his face now.

"Can you lend me some money? I lost my bag in the forest." Heizen asked Sarah in a low voice so that Bernard and Bowen wouldn't hear him.

"Hehe," both girls giggled at the same time.

"Our Mr. Hero is actually a pauper." Sarah laughed but still gave him a small pouch from her ring.

"Thank You!" Heizen thanked them shamelessly and stuffed the pouch into his pocket. It was made of some kind of animal skin. There were few gold and silver coins.

"Hehe." Seeing his face, both girls couldn't help but giggle.

Heizen rolled his eyes and went back to the boys.

There was a small door at the right side of the gate. Since we didn't have the carriage, we didn't need to do the checking.

"Don't worry about the fee. You don't need to pay anything if you have an identity. I still have some connection." Bernard patted his shoulder.

Apparently, his activity wasn't secret enough.

"Haha," Heizen could only laugh awkwardly.

So, they didn't encounter any problems and smoothly entered the town.

The town was much more lively than outside. Maybe, it was almost night, there were many people.

The structure of the building and cobblestone path all portray a medieval design. However, with large structures, magic, and extraordinary murals, they looked more beautiful.

"You can sleep at the Midnight Tavern today. Tomorrow, I will introduce you to the adventurer guild."

Bernard said.

"Um, we will also go to the academy. We will meet tomorrow morning." Sarah said and walked away with Sophie.

Everyone was exhausted and in no mood to talk.

Heizen followed Bernard and Bowen to a tavern and booked a room on the first floor.

The price wasn't bad. Thirty silver per month for a room with free breakfast and dinner. So, he booked for a month generously.

All the running and dangers have already worn down his spirit.

So, he said goodbye and went to the room. He was going to eat dinner in his room and sleep immediately after taking a shower.

The room was large enough for one person. There was a bed with clean sheets and a blanket. Besides a small table and chair by the window, there was nothing else.

The room was lit with a mana lamp. There was no need for electricity or anything.

You could take a shower in the attached bathroom by conjuring water from a tap-like instrument.

Heizen quickly checked the room and took a shower. This device was really easy to use.

After changing his clothes, he lay down on his bed and began to reflect.

Today could be said to be a rollercoaster ride. From being attacked by the wolf, stumbling to the dungeon, awakening the system to being killed by a dragon, life was full of drama.

A fantasy world where you could increase your strength and become an extraordinary person had been the dream of everyone.

However, Heizen wasn't happy. When he was attacked by that Cyclope, he already understood that his golden finger was a pit.

What good luck? Whose good luck could be so shitty that they almost died three times in a day?

"Ugh." Heizen was annoyed.

Putting such thoughts aside, he took out the Cyclope eye from his portable space.

[Eye of Cyclope: The eye of the level ten Psychic Cyclope.

Use: You can use it in conjunction with the eyes of other vision-related monsters to awaken your vision talent. Depending on the material, you can awaken different skills.

Note: Only possible for Tier 1 skill.]

"System, how do you know about such things? Aren't you Goodluck System?" Heizen asked his confusion.

From the start, this System was acting weirdly. It seemed to have all the uses but also none.

[Ding!][From the current level of power, this System is optimized as a Goodluck System according to the fate of the host.]

[Host is very lucky. So, the System will help you grab every opportunity in your journey.]

[As for the use of the Cyclope eye, it was memory extracted from the origin energy of the Dragon Gadrakh.]

"What Goodluck? You almost killed me many times and I was burned alive." Heizen cursed in a loud voice.

[That's the problem of the host. There was no error in the calibration of the System.] The cold robotic voice was ruthless.

Heizen rolled his eyes and stopped complaining. He didn't want to argue with this thing.

"What about this origin energy? Why there was no such energy after coming out of the dungeon?"

He was confused. When he killed the Goblin before, he only got experience.

[Ding!][Origin energy is the highest form of energy in this universe. It is the fundamental block.

Goblin is a low-life form, hence cannot contain such energy in its body. And there was no sign of contamination.]

"So, the Life Gate seems to be a very high-level dungeon. Maybe because it was lost and old, I didn't encounter many monsters." Heizen thought.

He could infer this from that green eastern dragon. A level of being that could kill with its breath must be the true boss.

He was really lucky that he first got the Life Seal. Otherwise, he would be dead by now.

"Ok, then what this Tier 1 skill is about?" He asked after a while.

[The skill level in this world starts from Tier 1 to 10. The same goes for any profession.]

[Due to the merging of various races and ethnicities, the System will try to show a unified rating that is easy to understand.]

"At least you have some use," Heizen mumbled. He was still upset about the pitfall.

"But there are still many advantages of the System. It seems nobody can get free attribute points like me. I just need to be more careful in the future." He consoled himself.

Just then, someone knocked on his door.

"Sir, your dinner has arrived." A sweet female voice called him.

"Ok." Heizen opened the door and picked up the dinner from the maid. He thanked her and closed the door to enjoy the first meal in this fantasy land (except that coarse bread of course).

Dinner wasn't too complex. There was brown rice with a few animal meat and some kind of soup. Though he didn't know what he was eating, he enjoyed them nonetheless.

After eating, he quickly slept on his bed waiting for the new day to arrive.

He was very excited to explore this unknown world full of wonders and mysteries.
