THE TRUTH
Everyone frowned when they caught a glimpse of the police officer. The hands of the police officer holding the papers were shaking as he kept looking at the papers one by one. The old woman was also curious so she snatched a piece of paper, and a few moments later, it also turned pale.
Out of curiosity like others, Jaime and Ivan also take a look. Daveryl just take a peek at Jaime's paper. But when he saw something, he literally gasped and his heart started beating too fast. His whole body was cold as if he had been poured with ice. His body trembled and began to sweat little by little.
"C-call the Lopez family head this instant!" The police officer shouted as he ordered his men.
On the paper, written are the printed texts conversations between Cedric Lopez and the deceased doctor. They were talking about their plan about stealing Ricky Sebastian's formula, and mostly, their plans of killing him after getting the documents.
With shaking hands, Daveryl picked up the papers one by one and looked at them. In another paper, it is written that Doctor Austria himself talked to his nurse to inject formalin into his father's body after he was killed.
"H-how, how dare they?!" His voice is trembling as his tears dropped on the table.
"Davy...!" Ivan and Jaime hold his shoulders.
"I have no knowledge about this! I swear!" The old woman started to defend herself.
Daveryl reached for another envelope and opened it. His world crumbled even more when he saw its contents. There was his picture as Ricky Sebastian. There is a target written on the picture. The same goes for his father's photo and all the copies of the family properties that are planned to be transferred to Cedric Lopez's name. In other words, the one who helped Cedric was no other than his friend and his father's best friend.
"How did they do this?!" Daveryl cried out loud.
Everyone flinches but Jaime and Ivan are more confused than shocked. They both look at each other asking each other in secret. Why does Davy is acting as if he is the victim?
"Sir, the two Lopezes are now in their way to here." The one who received the order reported back.
Daveryl still enraged. He glare at Ziana Lopez who are currently aware of her situation. She is still a Lopez, her blood is from his murderer father. So of course, she can't escape. But why the hell is Daveryl reacting like this? She straighten her back when Daveryl suddenly leaned closer to her.
"Miss. Ziana Lopez.. I'm telling you this, I will not stop until all of your relatives crawled on the ground and rotted in prison. I swear in the name of these two person who your father killed, that I will take revenge for what they did." Daveryl whispered.
She literally gasped and started feeling more nervous.
"Sir.. The Lopezes have arrived." The guard reported.
Daveryl expression turned evil on the spot. He saw Cedric calmly entered the office, followed by Jobel. They immediately changed their expression into angry when they saw Ziana.
"You again?! What did you do his time?! What did you do to Daveryl again?!" Jobel shouted when he charged forward to Ziana.
But Ziana reacted too fast and slapped Jobel hard. "You have no right to charge on me. If you wanna know what the fuck is happening, why don't you asked your murderer father?!" Ziana shouted.
The two newcomers were stunned. Cedric frowned deeply upon hearing this, then he turned to the young man who have tears in his eyes as he looked at him furiously.
"What are you saying?" Cedric asked his daughter with dark expression.
Ziana sneered. "Here, have a look father." She said while handing the papers to her father.
It was like a snake bit Cedric when he saw what was written on the paper. But his shock was only for a moment, he calmly looked at the old woman who was sitting and shaking.
"Ma'am, I know your husband died just last night, but why do you have to involve me in this case? You don't have to make some fake documents like this." He calmly said.
"Fake you say.." Daveryl suddenly spoke behind him. "How about this picture with your handwriting at its back? Is it also fake Mr. Lopez?" His voice is hoarse but full of anger.
This is the first time that Jaime and Ivan saw Daveryl acting like this. He seemed not the same person they know.
"That picture, that is Mr. Ricky Sebastian's photo, he's your Omega right Dad? You said you loved him, that's why you put all of his photos inside of your private room in our house." Jobel said with calm voice.
"Put all his photos in the private room? Wow! You're saying that, your father loves the person he just killed?" Daveryl almost laugh at what he just heard.
Are these two trying to fool him?! No way..!
"My son is correct Mr. Ortega. I indeed love my Omega. I love him so much to the point that I even put his photos on my office, room and in my house. I love him so much that until now, I still can't forget him.."
"Shut up! You're lying!!" Daveryl burst out crying this time. "You're a fucking liar! You know why?" He said while slowly getting closer to the stunned man. "Because I am Ricky Sebastian.. I am that Omega you betrayed and killed that night on your proposal." He whispered.
Just after Cedric heard that, he literally dropped on the floor trembling. He's eyes turned red and just a few seconds, he burst out in tears. He stare at Daveryl in disbelief and look scared.
"Father.. What happened to you..?" Jobel immediately help his father but just being pushed back.
At the same time, Jaime pulled Daveryl away from the man on the ground. Ivan also stood in front of Davy to protect him.
"Just a thought.." Ziana speak again. "What if, the person who killed Mr. Austria was him? Because he knows that Mr. Austria noticed the formula of Mr. Ortega?" She said while tilting her head.
"Shut up sister! Stop framing your own father!" Jobel shouted.
"He's not my father anymore. Have you forgotten? He drove me away from his family. Me, his own daughter!" Ziana said sadly while pointing herself.
That's right, Ziana wants to get out of the tie that is currently connecting to the Lopez family, using the reason that her own father abandoned her.
"That night, my husband told me that he wants to meet his old friend. I thought it was Daveryl's father or whoever connected to him. Because we watched his public endorsement that afternoon in the same day. That thought came to mind because of the same formula he mentioned while watching." The old woman suddenly spoke too.
Ziana nodded her head. "En.. That's connected everything, Mr. Ortega mentioned that he was almost kidnapped that night, what if my father planned.."
"Stop it Miss Lopez. You're telling a crime scene without proof. Do you know the consequences of your words?" The police interrupted the lady who immediately closed her mouth.
"She maybe has no proof for now, but she's right. She has a point. You should run a serious investigation about this police officer." Ivan finally spoke.
"En.. Try to check the Lopez house too. And about the issue of publicly criticizing Daveryl, I don't have to tell you, Mrs. Austria, if what you should do, right?" Jaime spoke too.
"What do you mean by publicly criticizing?" Ivan turned to Jaime with frown.
"We are here because they accused Daveryl about stealing the old man's formula." Jaime said.
"What?!"
"No.. He didn't steal anything." Cedric suddenly spoke while raising his head and look up Daveryl. "That formula, was originally his. Daveryl didn't, steal anything. Mr. Austria was the one who stole it from.. From.. Daveryl's friend. Right, Icky?" Cedric said with tears on his eyes. He's voice is also trembling.
Daveryl didn't answer and just keep crying in front of the man. While Jaime frowned after he heard the way Cedric addresses Daveryl. He seemed to remember that name spoken by George before.
"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry.. I was wrong.. I know I don't deserve everything you.. your friend gave me. I.. I disappointed him, I betrayed him. But believe me, although I know you will never believe me, I'm regretting everything. I loved you.. your friend. I swear..! If only I can turned back the time, I will never do that, Icky.." Cedric manage to deliver those words while crying. He even tried to touch him but he stepped back.
"Daveryl, my father is telling the truth, he loves your friend so much. I can show you the proof inside our house." Jobel said.
Daveryl didn't look at the young man but speak to Cedric again.
"I... promised my friend to take away everything he gave from you. And I also promise my.. friend's father that I will not stop until I take back everything from you, Mr. Cedric Lopez." Daveryl said. "So don't expect me to let everything pass easily." He also added.
"Daveryl! That's too much! Your friend is my father's ex-omega, do you really think he wants that?"
"Yes, I'm 100% sure that he wants that. And oh, Mr. Jobel Lopez, I want you to know that I now remember everything."
"What? You remember what?"
"I remember, that you, were the one who killed my parents. I saw you that night on the scene when I was being pulled out the car." Daveryl said with cold and unapproachable expression on his face.
Everyone gasps, while Ziana laugh out loud.
"What the hell?! So these people was the real villains? Don't worry father, I'll take care of your business from now on!" She said happily.
Everyone thought, there's no good thing happening in Lopez family. Now that the truth has been revealed, Daveryl needs to think of how he might be able to get back everything he once had.
"No need, I will transfer all of my wealth to Mr. Ortega." Cedric said. That shocked everyone, especially Daveryl who suddenly feels dizzy.
